Off the program sux

Hi to all. Been a few days and just dropped by to say hi and reply to a few ppl.

Jnr Mint: Thanx for the support. It is a mean feat to lose 8 and bit kg in month. I put it to not drinking enuf water but also that i dont have HUGE amount to lose really. Hope ur doing ok too!!

Well, i have been off diet since yest and i feel crappy. I have to be for surgery on Monday (7am for god sakes!!) for my knee. I havent gone crazy with food. I had a couple capachinos yest (with equal) and had a small bowl of tuna pasta bake for tea last night with about 5-6 salt vinigar chips, and a finger bun while watching a movie. I havent deviated too much but consultant said to have a bit of this and that- just not to stray too much. I havent i dont think. But, my body has felt the difference yest and this morn- stomach playing up and feel a lil ughhh. Cant wait to get back to the diet Wed!! I had to have a wk off but it wil be a lil less then that cos i didnt want to regain much weight so 4 days in all!

Ohhhh, i went on a date yest and i am so suprised as to how he reacted! It was a blind date but it was ok cos i felt better for self and just in self. Anyways, he knows i was on the diet so it was ok too from that perspectve. At the start he didnt seem too interested but he was meant to be gone by 4.30pm to go to the AFL game in Adelaide but when that time came, he ordered more capachinos and we left hr later! And i went to pay for mine (i always offer) he said 'Na, u get it next time'. We walked to cars (in same vacinity) and he gave me a hug and kiss gdbuy and i just said to giv me a buz if he wanted to catch up, cos i did! I walked to car all happy and grinning ear to ear!!!!! He smsed me and said thanx for arvo he thort it was gr8! Also the hug was a lil more comforting then when we met. We kept busting each other looking at the other person! Oh my god! Cute guy wanting to c me!!! WOW. Just stoked.

Oh well such is life :D :D I guess weight loss has advantages hey. Well, got Sax lesson soon so better get up (its 11.30am!) Keep up gd work ppls.!!!

Mmmmm who am I?

Yes, I dropped off the face of the earth for awhile. I think that i may suffer from Binge eating Disorder (BED). It's a bit of an awkward situation to find myself in because i know if i get help with it, they'll tell me to stop the program, whereas, I want to keep going so i can get slim!

So, i've resolved to do my best. I know that we're not supposed to deviate but i can't fathom that for me at the moment. If i'm moving downwards, i'll be happy. When i'm feeling like i've conquored my disorder, then i'll try doing the program to the letter in the hopes of resetting my body. All i can do is pray and let the lord guide me through.

NETSKI: I knew you'd do great. It must be amazing to be at that end of the journey. Well done on nearly reaching re-feed and congrats on getting there.

Jewls: Sorry if it seems as if i'm avoiding you. I appreciate all your thoughts and messages, really do. I get very anti-social when I get in this awful frame of mind. Looking down on myself and such. Thanks again. Would love to catch up again. Has anyone replied to the meeting up idea? I'm confident you're still going strong...

The Old Me: I'll be the first to admit that no one is perfect. Definitely not me. Don't give up altogether just make the decision that you'll do the best you can. We don't want to be going up instead of down. This is all assuming that you're taking time off the forum for this reason. Hope you're well. Don't give up or in!

L-Jay: On the home straight? Hope you're going great guns. Let us know.

NEWBIES: Congrats on making a great decision with the diet. If you leave your hangups at the door (which i have trouble doing). You'll do fantastic. You've taken the biggest step, now just take those baby steps one by one.

NOTSONEWBIES: Congratulations on all of your successes. You all seem to be going strong.

Netski: Welcome back from housesitting. Wow, must really have feel good when they dun recognise you right and you only have a short while to go, feeling so happy for you. =)

less of me: Hmm... so its really normal, but hee hee... I got impatience and went out to get a u zap anyway. U zap is those slimming belt which is supposed to help you vibrate away the fats from the tummy but can use it on the arm and other parts of the body as well. Will update here on whether does it work in the end =p.

heavenlylamb: Congrats on your first week lost, thats really alot in just one week. Keep up the good work.

fornight: I think its just one of those slow week do dun worry about it. Concentrate on the end result and it should keep you going. Ganbatte ne p(^-^)q

DeDe23: Wow, really happy to hear that your date went well. All the best for your surgery and concentrate on getting well first before thinking of the diet. Your health is more important.

mumbine: Tats really a good short term to use(BED), haa haa. I think its really normal to feel like deviating since we are all on this for such a long time but just dun let it get yourself down. Pick yourself up and continue with the diet, think of the end result or what actually motivate you to start in the first place. Hmm... something I am thinking of. Think alot of us set rewards for ourselves when we reach a certain weight goal right, maybe can do tat for number of days without deviations too?

thanx for support

Thanx Momiji for ur well wishes. I am hopeing they can fix the blinking problem- 12-13 ops, u would think they wld get it right eventually!! I got a gd luck msg from my new found close *friend* (wink wink). It was such a suprise and it was a special thing for him to remember cos other family havent re sis and bro.

I know i need to be mindful of my health but also if i dont get back to the diet soon i get scared i am not going to get back to it. I had a hamburger from a coffee bar so it was relatively healthy compared to like Macca's but i know i will never be able to stomach anything like that cos i am suffering tonight with reflux and just a horrible feeling and just like a sticky feeling to it. I tried salt and vinegar chips tonight and got past 5 and ewwwww. Thats a gd thing tho yeah???????????? I am sure i will be able to focus when home on tues or wed. Just a day or so to recover from all the anesthetic stuff. I will have to drink loads of water in there.

Well, im of to bed so can get up at 5am so can leave by 6am to hospital. Blah blah blah. *YAWN* Night all.

Recently, juz a few days after i started on this program.. i gave myself a little treat by giving my hair a new hair cut, rebonding, dye & stuff, sort of wanna a new look and hoping while losing weight ,so that i can look better .. lol.. cost a bomb... , but frenz all commented i look much younger and nicer and frenz who noes that i'm on this program commented i look more radiant .. :D ... and then to my surprise... i got approached twice this week... by guys.. to get my number! quite a shock for mi.. and 1 of them was a guy much younger than mi.. he tot.. i was his age.. lol...
i think by starting cohens.. it seems that a new chapter of my life is gonna start.. and i can't wait to live this moment~ :D

damn!

Try as I might, I cannot keep from craving! The weekend was a real downer, and I have a feeling I put just about all my weight back on. I binged like I hadnt eaten in a hundred years! Today I am just craving, I want to eat every fattening thing I see and it sucks because for 1 week my life was looking up and I was feeling great. What the heck happened?

Just a Post!!

Hi all,

I haven't had the time to post over the weekend... However I have been following up the postings in here...

fornight, rem you were the one who told me not to worry so much when I am not making any big lost? so dun worry over it okie? I am sure its just the slow lost and once you are under 68kg, I am sure it will move down fast...

jayce, I am sure you are happy with the change that you are making.. colouring your hair.. rebonding... well the cost must be huge but I am sure you are happy with the new hairstyle...

Tha's all for now!!! Take care all! I will update once I have my one month weigh in...

Hi all,

Well today is better than last Monday, I feel great and i'm now 77.5cm down in total.

Mumbine and Devorah the feelings you are having are normal, it is your body reacting to not having crabs and sugar. Your mind is then tricked so that starts to play up to tell you that you want something - but I have good news you are in control and you can choose not to give in. It can take upto 3 weeks (21 days) to break a habit. All the foods you are suggesting (or eating) that you want is your mind and your body is asking you how serious you are in taking care of it. You are strong women, we all are but you need to choose to be strong and once you have gotten over it (about 10 -21 days) without deviation it does become easier, trust me I'm there it has been hard for me too but it is still your choice. If you are finding it really hard to cope with I also recommend talking to someone about your eating addiction (that's what we all have), I have accomplished this too and recommend it to everyone. It helped me to recognise why I over ate and how I can find the strength to change. My prayers are with you both and remember this program really works and will give you much more to life after you have finished than deviating will give you right now.

Mumbine - I have only had one person respond to my invitation which does surprise me somewhat. I think meeting face to face can actually help as you physically know there are people out there going through what you are. I'm sorry you are going through a hard time at the moment but don't feel like you are alone, if you want to talk just email, text or ring me it can make a difference. Melisa you can do this and God places people on our path to help, so I don't feel like you are avoiding me but i am here to help you if you want.

Less of me - how are you going? Is it still cold up there or is the sun out more often?

L-Jay - hey what are you up to, i thought you were posting everyday, what's up?

Majic lea - R U still flat out at work, i really miss your posts, how are you going at the moment?

Fornigh - Your have done so well, don't me sad at the loss plateau effects are part of the weight loss thing. Just remember you are one step closer to the end. I think you have done a great job, especially since you were upset at the start about your program look at how far you have come. Keep on going you are inspirational to others.

DE DE - wishing you a speedy recovery.

Wishing everyone a wonderful cohens day and remember you are all shining stars.. Cheers Jewls;)

Hey everyone, I've been away for a few days. Eating-wise a disaster, but great aside from that. Thanks to ones who asked about me. I am going to have a bit of a break from the forum. I need some time to refocus, and work out what I want and what I'm doing about it. I know cohens is the right way to go, but I have to start taking it seriously. So hopefully soon, I'll be back here, reporting good things. Everyone, keep up the good work, and thanks for all the encouragement and love you've given xx

had quite a bad start today.. overslept and woke up late, had to literally stuff my breakfast into my mouth, lucky i prepared the food overnight.. but juz felt too full, starting to feel that the portions of food allocated is a bit too much... is that normal? these few days, whenever i get to the last 1/4 portion of food.. i always feel too full, but still had to stuff the food in... :(

Hello to all.... it has been a long time since i posted - and i've been off the program since april (so naughty). after travelling over east, and then having to live at the inlaws for a couple of months while the house was being renovated, I am so happy to be back home, and ready to get back and finish this off once and for all!!!
I think i lost about 15kgs in 8 weeks when i started, and i think i have just been comfortable with being a bit slimmer, that i haven't bothered finishing it off. I put back on about 4 kilos over all that time of being off the program (& eating a disgusting amount of chocolate), so I don't think that's too bad.
i missed the support that i got from everyone on this forum, and it's going to take me a while to catch up on all the posts.

well, i have 9kg to go until goal weight - would love to reach that by the end of September - DH & I have decided now is the time for bub #2, but i would really love to drop these kg's before falling pregnant again.

so - back on the yoghurt tomorrow morning! yummo :)

bring it on!!!

Sighz.....I only manage to lose 200g this week. It must be due to me having menses and flu this week. My mense is almost finished but I am still having this blasted flu!!! My voice still sound so nasal that I can't stand it. Taking the flu medicine make me so drowsy that I just wish to sleep all day.

I MUST perserve!!!! In my past weight loss experience, I used to have a plateau between 68kg and 69kg. I really MUST break this plateau!!!!!

hi, it has been ages since I posted . I did really well going from 82.7kgs and are now stuck at 69 kgs. I'm finding it all really difficult and wish I could get back the motivation of when I started on cohens. I try real hard to drink the water Quota but some days it is not even 2 litres , yes know it is real important. ou people are just so inspiring , love to read about how You arte all going ...In the past have tried to send posts but they disappear to the never never and won't post . Any ideas to reinspire me would be appreciated . By the way I just came back from hols on the sunshine coast for 15 days ,took my scales and blender to make yoghurt smoothies and never deviated from the program but last 10 days since home have been hard. eeling hungry or have cravings etc.. all you cohenites keep up the great work....love jo

Hi Big Daddy,

You find the head office details on the lifestyle clininc website that mumbine gave you, actually i think you are now going to HO.Well done on your great loss so far and keep it up. I was also going to the mitcham branch in Melbourne that closed down so my journey if i make it is a 3 hour trip down and 3 hrs back home so you see i don't go down there very often. If you need more support come back to the cohens thread we could use your insight and wisdom as lots have already left.

congrats again

Home from .hospital

Well, i am home from having knee surgery and feel pretty gd apart from feeling sick from being off the diet! I stepped on scale just before and im back up to 90kg- thats like 6kg gain in a few days!!!!!!!!! Mum thinks its a build up of fluid. I had minimal crap food so i am a lil bummed out by this. I am back on diet tomorrow. Supposed to be a few more days but i have to get in to it now- my stomach is so sore its not funny. I havent had a lot of fluid except what i had in surgery and a few small (250ml) cans of lemonade and diet coke. It was tap water so i refused to drink it- i get headache with that water!! I also had very low BP (like 90/50 when i left hospital- about hr ago!!!!) so i should really kick back with lots of water to flush and top up my dehydrated body.

I got a sheet of 6 photos of my knee surgery and im glad they fixed it cos it was all ripped up! Its so swollen but plenty of pain killers to fix that problem!!! Well, mum is calling me for lunch so im gunna get going. Back to diet at tea time but i might have a lil more then the diet amount just to help recover. I need it for leg to heal properly but so eager to get back to losing weight!

talk soon

Jewels' invitation

hi Jewels,
great idea, meeting up - I wont be able to come though, as I have to work. Thanks for organising something though!! :)

Hey ya all!

It's the 19th day of my diet, havn't had my third weekly weight in yet, but so far my clothes are fitting me so much better! Its really inspiring! Am so busy trying to round things up with my work, it's only a 4 month stint during my vacation, and i'll be heading back to school in september. So many things to do and stress about! Grins.

So anyway ladies, hows the weight loss coming along? Hope its going rad! I finally managed to source out Sprite Zero from a store in Singapore (Note to fellow singaporeans, its also available at ShopNSave at toapayoh). Bought like 10 bottles to stock up! But i just realized how valuable it is- fish grilled in sprite, apple crumble in sprite- loads more! Im soo excited :D

dede, get well soon woman! Glad to know you're getting back on the diet, just get plenty of bed rest and im sure you'll be your old self in no time!

jayce, wow, a whole new you eh! Must be so refreshing :) Im planning a full makeover once i shed at least 20 kg. Then i'll make a BANG into the scene. hehe. Well, i also sometimes hate gorging myself when i'm full, especially in the morning! i HATE to eat anythinhg. But when i see what good its doing to me, i just don't think about it & will stuff it down. Its sucky, but hell, we've come so far, might as well do it all the way right? Good luck & keep those guys coming! ;)

Devorah, maybe its time to enlist all the support from those at home. Get them to hide all those nasty chocs and snacks from you. Also you just have to bear in mind whenever you're contemplating that chocolate: "is it worth having this choc and another 21 Cohen meals?" Because we ALL know that 1 deviation = 1 extra week! It works for me, hopefully it does for you too!

Princesslou, its remarkable that you're comitting yourself to this again, congrats! Thanks for sharing with us your experience so that we can learn from you! Hope the journey is as great as it was in the beginning for you. remember, the support here is and will always be as wonderful as it was from the start :D

Joanne, first of all, kudos to the fact that you lugged your blender & scale ALL the way! WOW! That's no mean feat & you could've easily just gone right off but you didn't. Thats a huge step and you deserve to be applauded! As for your lack of motivation, it's staring right at you whenver you glance in the mirror! It must have taken SO much effort to get kilos off, just think you're already in the 60s! Before you know it, you'll be showing off that trim figure in a hot bikini ;) Trying listing down what you want to do after you have acheived your goal status & tacking it somewhere prominent. Maybe that will help. As for the water, during work maybe you could keep 1 L bottle near you n just continually sip while you work. You could also add a dash of lemon juice (from allowance) to make the transition easy? I know some who take a few sips of water then a sip from sprite zero to vary the taste in their mouths. Whatever it is, just stick to your guns, i guarantee you, you'll be feeling great in no time :D :)

Okkk, guess this post has gone on long enough! I gotta get back to work before my boss comes and nags me. Oh i miss the REAL meaning of a vacation. :p

Happy Cohen-ing ladies!

Rt
