Fornight- Yeah i realise its not something that i can rush, but i was just asking out of anticipation wether it is possible.. ? I have an event to go to at the end of Oct and im hoping to be able to have a few drinks and be on the re-feeding by then..

My consultant told me that its possible to shed 10kg's each month and being 21 as i am.. Its easier for the younger ones.. and also i have a good track record with losing weight, it comes off me pretty quickly.. Before new years eve i lost a total of 12kg's in a month just by exercising and eating less.. so theres hope yet! :)

I do know one other that has done it, and i just hope to god it happens for me.. im abit scared to start the program that's all.. I know its a huge step to take, im excitted at the same time though.. I'll be right.. Everyone in here is so good at motivating.. if i hadnt found this forum id be screwed!

Thanks for the great reading guys, and keep it up. :)

Just Believe...

30 Kg's in 12 Weeks (3mths) is this possible??..

~BAM~ I would definitely say that it is possible. I lost 9.5kg in my first month on Cohen's - my largest monthly loss so far - but that's pretty close to 10kg, right? And Jewls lost 12kg in her first month! My advice - LOTS AND LOTS of water! Oh - and believe you can do it too...:)

I'm actually interested to know, from those of you who have been on Cohen's for more than 2 months and stuck to the diet 100%, has your monthly loss been steady or has it been up and down? I hope you don't mind me asking  I'm just curious, that's all.

Jody- Thanks for that :)- Congrats on your weightloss to date, thats fantastic!

I do believe i can do it.. as they say.. you can do anything when you put your mind to it! Hope its true! :)

my consultant told me that 70% of the people lost 7 to 10kg in their first mth. Later on, the steady weight loss is approx 4kg to 5kg per mth. It kind of coincide with my friend (the one who lost 40kg in 6 mths)'s progress and as far as I know she was very discipline.

Evening all... hope you are all going strong! It's so windy and cold here tonight!
Thanks for the welcome back sassysaphire! If there is one bit of advice i can give - stay on the program until you are finished! it might seem like a drag at the time, but at least you get it over and done with in one hit... it is so hard to get back into that frame of mind to commit yourself again... i have tried over the last couple of days, but (and i think this has a lot to do with being very unorganised at the moment) have not got back on the wagon. SO KEEP GOING STRONG!!!!

The thing i can't get my head around is, i lost the weight i have lost so quickly - you think that would be motivation enough to get back on it.....

DeDe23 - i hope you recover quickly from your surgery

BAM - 30kgs in 3 months? well, if you set your mind too it - i reckon you could do it! and if you don't quite get to the 30kg mark by then, i reckon you'd be pretty close (and absolutely stoked with what you have lost, which will spur you on to get to goal)

Thanx

Thanx to all who posted get well message for knee surgery. I have had my last non-cohen meal tonight so back on the wagon tomoz. Pity i had to come off for a number of days for surgery as i have regained like 6kg. It will drop off again-fluid im guessing and also a lil bit of the bad food i had. My stomach is SOOOO bloated with non cohen food- cant wait for normality to hit.

Water tomoz too-mum already filtered several bottles for me!! Just sipping on diet coke at mo cos of nausea and stuff. Will enjoy getting to normal food-pizza is pretty gross. Looking forward to having chicken and a nice steak with vegies!!!! Never thort i wld say that!!

Well, gunna get a long night sleep and help body to get over the operation and ready for new life hopefully without knee pain and locking stuff. I even got foto's of what it looked like inside it....really weird!

Night all and i will let u know how the diet kicks off again.

Really inspiring reading all your posts each time i feel down and it spurs me on
A BIG THANKYOU!!!!

Good evening ladies,

Bam - As Jody said I lost 12kg in my first month and i want to lose 62kg in 6 months so 30kg should be a snap, but it does all depend on you head space. You need to be 110% pure on this program to get really great results but it sounds as though you will, good luck i will be watching for your great results.

Ready to loss - Thanks for your response, I didn't get many takers but prehaps you could come next time, just let me know what hours you are available so i can work around that, it would be great to meet for a cuppa.

Princesslou - hello to you, you have done really well, you should be so proud of yourself for getting this far already just take the time to let it sink in especially if you are like me and have had the extra weight on for a while it will seem strange but when summer come i bet you will be ok with everything about your new shaped body. I'm inpressed so you go for it girl!!

DeDe - i'm glad your surgery went well, keep drinking that water or even suck on crushed ice to help your body take in extra water. I think you will be dancing up a strorm in no time. I have had 2 knee reconstructions but the best thing is since starting this program my knees don't hurt so much anymore. Good luck with the recovery and remember everyday is a great day on Cohens, giving us all a happier, healthier life.

Good night ladies have the best dreams
Jewls

Hi everyone,

Just reading all the posts I've missed over the last few days. I went down south for the weekend - didn't have a great time on the food front. Went out for lunch on Saturday and drank champagne  on both nights - TERRIBLE.

I was really stressed about getting on the scales yesterday but I weight the same as Friday. Phew! Bit disappointed with myself but back on the wagon again.

Jewls/DeDe - I was interested to hear that your knees were better since losing weight. Even though I haven't lost very much so far my feet aren't sore anymore. About two years ago (when i put on all the weight) I had to start wearing orthodics in my shoes for the first time in my life. Since my first pregnancy it has hurt to walk bare foot around the house even.

This program really is a life changing experience. Things that you never thought much about are so significant now - I finished off a slice of toast that my baby boy didn't eat and I felt sick almost immediately - just from two mouth fulls of toast!!

Anyway, hope you all keep going and have a great week!

Hi ladies. thanks sassy saphire for your encouragement...hey i just wrote a long posting again and bingo i posted it and it went to never never land again

Good morning everyone,
De De glad your feeling better
how many fish meals per week does everyone have ?
do you eat your fruit ?
do you eat all your crackers ?
does this effect our refeed if we cut them out ?
:) :) :) :) :)

morning everyone!! My flu has turned into cough now. *cough*cough* but I am feeling much better.

Yesterday I finally dropped another 300g, hopefully this progress will continue.

I was in rather good mood yesterday, partly becos of the loss and partly becos two more colleagues notice my weight loss. I think I need to spend some time re-organise my wardrobe. Some of the clothes are really too loose to wear. I need to figure out which ones can be altered, which ones can be sold, which ones can be given away and which ones can be thrown away.

One of my colleagues tendered her resignation yesterday. I will miss her greatly as we are such good friends. Her resignation makes me feel like finding a new working environment too. I have been working in the same place for more than 6 years and its about time for me to move on and learn new things.

Maybe after cohen, I will also do a makeover, buy new clothes and start on finding a new job. Its also about time for me to add some spice in my social life. Sounds really exciting!!!

Hi everyone,

Have been a naughty girl since Sat afternoon. My mum was visiting from Malaysia and we went shopping and was out most of the weekend, so I deviated, but tried to stick to foods that were closest to Cohens, except for Sunday when I had a bit of rice.....
Anyway, I'm gonna be eating a 'normal' lunch today cuz we're having a farewell party for my colleague. And I'm taking an exam on Fri, which is gonna take up the whole day, so I'm gonna have to eat out for lunch then. Tryin to stick to Cohen meals the rest of the time.
I think I'm geting complacent.....need to loose another 6kg. My goal weight set by Dr Cohen is 51-54kg. I'm now at 60kg. Was planning to go down to 54 before I order my refeed. So maybe I am getting a little cocky....relaxing a little with this programme...or maybe most of us reach a state where we need a break....
Anyway, thing is I put it in my head that this would happen and so I dont feel guilty about deviating. Maybe I should and that would keep me on track...I know I need to eat another 21 meals to make up for it....but I'm ok with it.....

just rambling on....a really long post.....

Reload: glad to see your ticker up. was wondering how you're doing.

Keep up the good work all

Ticker Updates

~BAM~ Hubby to date has lost 30.4kg in 3 months so yes it is possible but it also depends on your body.

Less of me - We had a week deviation when hubby broke both arms but we got straight back on cohens as soon as we arrived back home and it didn't disrupt our loss. We stay fairly constant between 7-10kg's a month. So so far we are really happy with the loss.

My biggest issue atm is not drinking enough water. But i will get back to it at some stage... :)

Just popped on to update tickers...

Tam

Jewls- Thankyou so much for your encouragement! And yes, ill be sticking to the program 110% the whole way to a size 12 :)

I believe i can do this.. and cant wait to see my ticker moving!!

You also keep up the great work!!
