1. Multivit (thrice daily)
2. Mega Mineral (thrice daily) - 1st time taking and I love it!!!!
3. Omega 3 Oil (twice daily)
4. Liver supplement (milk thristle ingredient) (thrice daily)
5. Calcium (once daily) - helps my sleep and bowel movement a great deal!!!
 
I'm hungry!!

Jr Mint - I would just give them a ring, my both friends rang when they had 2 kg left to lose.

I am sooo hungry! The whole time on cohen's I've been fine until now. I think my body has started to lose more again. Anyone else got really hungry when they were over 1/2 way?? I know I could ring cohen's but at the moment my loss is going so well - already 2.1 kg this week with 3 days to weigh in!! So I will just sip my water and space my fruit. I guess hubby has been home all week, goes back tomorrow and It's always harder when he's eating chocs etc!!
I feel like I am someone breaking an addiction - like its been 13 weeks and 4 days since my last chocolate!!! I guess food is an addiction!
I have a journal that I write in everyday and that helps heaps!
Congrats to everyone so close to refeed - can't wait to be there!!

Mitmary: I am sure its difficult when others around u are eating whatever they want and desire. I had same thing with my mum here for the last 3wks. I came off it for surgery and only got back on it yesterday but i did try a few times to get bak earlier but no chance. I believe we can all abstain from the food that is not gd for us! Its a choice we make. I am starving today but i have just resorted to my vitaweat and piece of fruit. I do get hungry sometimes and am not going out for the rest of week to ensure i have gotten back on trak and not deviate!!

Well, day 2 back from being off for op and i am kinda struggling- my own fault as i didnt have breaki before my weigh in!!!! Well, being off diet since 29th July until the 13th August, i had put on 6kg!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: But in the last couple of days i was able to shed that and i am now 84.90kg. So its a 20gm increase from last weigh in. I think that is gr8 :D . I wish i had used the bathroom before then- cos i dropped a kg when i went home afterwards :p . Oh well, cant win em all. I had thort i might be upper 80's but i am so glad i stayed where i was. Now i know i am gunna be at least in the 70's by the end of the month. Well, its my plan. I think i will achieve it and OH MY GOD. Im gunna be so happy:) :) . I wld hope to be there by the end of next wk but that might be too much?? 2kgs this wk and 2kg next- possible. Water needs to be included- i wasnt a water baby and still aint!! Oh well. Does any one go thru cleaning faises on this- i have for the last 2 days. Gd thing cos i found HEAPSSS of dust... i thort i was a relatively tidy person :rolleyes:

Well, im gunna go and drink my water that i got out this morn!!! MMM i dont like it but i have to endure it for me to reach my goal..........yayayayay.

PS: I got back on multi vits and chromium (MV doesnt have it so had to get seperate) last night and i woke up and my face has cleared soooo much!!. That must be my key so clear skin- or it mighta been facial i had. Im taking it as a positive either way :D
 
had my 4th week weigh in... 1st mth = 11.3 kg~ not bad.. quite happy.. but i realized my weight loss in the 2nd and 4th week is beri slow.. anione wif the same situation?
 
Jayce- My weight loss has slowed down a little compared to last week. This is my 2nd week on the program and last week (my 1st week) I lost 4.2kg's and this week so far its only been 1kg.. but i suppose it is only Wednesday.. im very impatient!! I keep thinking to myself "im never going to get there" a Size 12 seems so far away.. but in reality all i have to do is be patient and follow the program 110% and surely ill get there... If everyone else can do it, why cant i??
 
Ticker Update...

Just updating my ticker once again... I semm to find at the moment i need to update regually as i find a bit of comfort knowing it is slowly moving towards the half way point!!! it's taking longer than planned but hey as long as it's moving right???

I am back from my 2 month holiday in Europe. I haven’t weighed my self since I have been back but I know I am thinner than what I was before I left, all my clothes are hanging off me and heaps of people are commenting on how much weight I have lost. I am guessing that I am around 70kg which means I would have less than 10 to go. I don’t mind being this weight as I can wear size 12-14 clothes, much better than the 22-24 I was wearing not long ago. Anything less than what I am know is a bonus.

My strategy while I was away was to try and maintain my weight rather than loose, I ate one day Cohens way (without weighing food) and one day what ever I wanted. I swam and walked heaps.

I plan to get back on track from tomorrow. I am now on my own as my contract has finished (I got the reefed program before I left knowing my time would be up when I got back). Not to worried as I feel great at this weight, and I know it is all up to me.

Finding it hard to get my mind around cooking again and weighing food. Cant believe the person in the mirror is really me.
 
Bowel Movements

Just have a quick email from Cohen consultant. He wrote that we can have Fybogel, Metamucil, Senakot, Black Forrest Tea, Adulax, or Psyllium Husks on the program.

I am interested in Metamucil 'coz he said it tastes better than Psyllium husks. Will be looking around to see where it can be found.
 
Gee its good to know im not the only one not having any Bowel Movements lol

I feel like no weight is coming off me and im just so determined to see some results, its abit sad really.. Im very impatient.. ive got to get over that..

The weight will keep coming off wont it??....
 
BAM if the progress of the loss affect u so much, maybe you should restraint yourself by weighing only once a mth.....That's what I am doing now. It is better this way than to demoralise yourself with all the ups and downs.
 
fornight- Thanks for that, yeh i think ill stay away from the scales for a while.. Just see how my clothes are feeling, which at the moment they feel fantastic and im only 4kg's down, i cant begin to imagine what 30kg's down will feel like...arrrr incrediable :)
 
fybogel orange allowed? i have been emailing peter.. but he doesn't reply at all... :( and does ani one noes how much artificial sweetener r we allowed per day?

Picked up In Supermarket.

Hi all. I just had dinner so thort i wld drop a line. I always write novels here so i will try and keep it short. Measured today (i do it monthly) and 12cm. Total of 25cm. It seems minimal but i did stand in warbrobe mirror and i must say there is obvious changes in body. Lost the extra boobs on my back hehehe. My boobs are shrinking YAYAYAYAYAY. I asked my dad for a breast reduction for my 15th birthday so now 9yrs later, im getting my wish naturally!!!! I have always been a DD or E so im happy i am shrinking!! Has anyone who is relatively gifted in this area found this?? My weight is decreasing and i suspect if i drink water (i dont do much unfort) i will lose quicker but havent found the knack of what works for me to do such as of yet.

Ohhhh, i got picked up in the supermarket tonight!! This has never happened to me!! He was really well dressed and not bad looking but a lil forward and now i got new BF i cld use as an excuse. hehehe. I came home and looked in mirror again and despite wearing trakies and gym tshirt, i didnt look fat anymore. YAYAY. Lifes looking up!

Jayce & Fortnight: I was told by my clinic that anything with fruit extracts such as orange is OUT for tea's and metemucil type stuff- bowl meds. If they do, they are meant to be counted as ur fruit intake which is difficult to accertain. Psyllium husks arnt too hard to drink- they have minimal bland taste actually. A tip is disolve (as much as possible as they dont really) theym in glass of WARM water not cold- they as less likely to go gluggy and chunky. If ur having probs with bowels (im a shocker with this- go 5 days w/o going then i will) try a slimmers tea- i use one that has no fruit extract and its actually really nice to drink but can only have a cup once or twice a week as it works REALLY well for me. Tad pricey ($13 for 30 t/bags but u shouldnt need it everyday) but gd-its called 'Nutri-Leaf Brand -Regular Strength Dieters Slim Tea'. They are Aussie Made for those in Oz and from Health Food Store. In a green box with black and white writing.

Early start in the morn so im gunna just relax and get early night tonight- been up til 1.30am for the last few days- hitting hard today! Sip the water and try and get at least 2ltrs down- no, i havent had any yet!!!
 
Another day slowely ending

To my beautiful ladies and men,

Hope you all have been strong today. Did you learn anything about yourself today? I did.

Firstly i realised that my moments of weakness are mostly caused by not having much to do. Everytime i had a craving which was on multiple occassions i went and did some house work or read a mag. I realised i just cant sit still and i just need to come up with ways to keep myself busy!

Secondly i realised that Cohens with friends is easier than Cohens alone. I spent 5 days iin Melbourne with my best friend and it was sooooooooooooooo much easier when you can share your hardships throughout the day. Hence i will endevour to post more as the support i get here and from her is AMAZING!

DeDe23- i've noticed a decent reduction in breast size. I started Cohens in a size 14D/DD now I'm at 10D which is actually a decent reduction . I think the skin still needs to firm up with mine so its hard to tell what they'll look like once i'm done. But let me tell you running is no longer painful and i dont need to wear 2 bras when excercising!:)

Mitmary7- My consultant suggested 2 muti's a day one at breakfast and one after lunch- reason being that you could be drinking too much water at once and flushing out too many vits and minerals leaving more hunger. That said even if you're not it cant hurt

well i'm off to prepare my dinner.

wish me luck for my blood test tomorrow morning . i gve people needles every day, why am i such wuss?:p
 
Just wanted to say hi, I am having my blood test tomorrow and really looking forward to starting on Cohen's, (hopefully next week). This site is great, I've been reading for a while and everyone is so positive and encouraging. I have to do the program by correspondance as I live too far from any clinics, do many others on this site do it this way?
 
Fibre

I went looking for fibre on the weekend. I wasn't constipated, but I could feel that things weren't moving as well as I would like!

I bought a brand of natural fibre called "benefiber", and I've been really happy with that. I've just taken a small amount in the evenings, and I'm back being very regular. But the best thing about it is that it is non-thickening and grit free, which means when you mix it with water, if you wait a couple of minutes, the water is back to being completely clear and has very little taste of the fibre there. if you drink straight away, its cloudy and does have taste. It is completely natural fibre with no flavourings. I like it much better than any other fibre I've ever tried before.

Alot of restaurants have their menus on the internet, so you can have a look before hand for something that you can eat. Or you can call and ask them to prepare something for you. I think its really hard if you don't have a plan to stay focused when you are presented with so many yummy options. If you make a plan before hand and ring the restaurant and order something special, its much harder to deviate on the night - cause everyone knows you are on a special diet!
That's my experience anyway

I sent over the whole list of ingredients of Fybogel Orange to my consultant and he said its OK. Its gluten free and sugar free. I had been using it for nearly 2 weeks!
 
what multivitamins are best?

Had my blood test on Monday and paid for Cohen's. Can't wait to get started even though I know it sounds like it's going to be bland. Here are my self promises:
  • Stay on plan 100%
  • Drink at least 2 litres of water (I usually drink 1 glass per day, if that)
  • Reward myself on reaching mini goal weights
  • Not let on to anyone at work that I'm doing Cohen's...reduce sabotage attempts!
  • Find myself some distracting hobbies/tasks when I head for the fridge
It looks like every one here is losing weight rapidly, can't wait to join in.
