Whoa....

Thanks L-Jay but how do I o about ordering the refeed and explaining my reasons? Especially now that Melbourne Clinics are closed!

Netski not too long to go! Well done!

Mumbine what's up girl? What's going on? I know if I feel like that I just throw everything out! Seriously, you are doing this weight thing for yourself right and not for anyone else right? I hope so...

Look, we are all in this together - you are not alone! :)

Hugs to Everyone!

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is well and doing great with their losses!! I had my monthly weigh in and I was pretty happy with my loss. I have been EXTREMELY constipated though over the last two weeks, I had to use enemas etc to get myself moving along. Has anyone else experienced this? I had 7 days without using my bowels and found this quite concerning!

Anyway.. something a bit less disgusting! I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts in terms of cup size in weight loss. I have always had ample bosom in a D cup and I would love it to stay that way as my weight decreases. Do you reckon it will stay as a D cup or will i lost weight off my breasts too? Interesting to think about

I did that virtual model thing, it looks cool! I reckon it reflected my body shape pretty well and to see what it would look like at my goal weight was really motivational!!

You should check it out!

Katie

Mumbine : Should have stayed away from the kitchen area. Drink a glass of cold water before opening that cupboard. Either go watch your favourite tv program or take a nap.

I know its difficult, i too feel like crying & feeling moody - what i will do is sing out the chorus of "Bad Day - Daniel Powter"

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

After that i laugh at myself for the lousy vocal and forget the craving (think twice).

Anyway, start afresh tomorrow... be strong...

Truth time

Ok here it is, the verdict. I did not deviate AT ALL! I also walked for about an hour twice today, so am hoping that will go some way to repairing the damage. Mumbine, hope you managed to resist but if not try again tomorrow and try to think of something which will help next time. I know only too well that we sometimes just ignore all the good ideas but its great to know they are there when we choose to use them. Some of the ideas I like are:
  1. Have a drink of water...or three!
  2. Go for a walk
  3. Eat something you ARE allowed to eat
  4. Post your deviations or deviation free days as Ljay suggested
  5. Have a bath
  6. Go to bed
  7. Do something messy with your hands like cleaning, pottery, gardening etc
  8. Definitely do not try cooking!

mumbine, read your own quote, and give your troubles to the LORD. He will help you through, and then go to bed early. That is what I felt is the best solution or you could make some black tea or coffee with heaps of sweetener.
Tasm82,shame you had to buy the wedding dress so early. Hopefully you have found a good seamstress to alter your dress for you. Imagine how good you are going to feel though.
dilfizzle, they shouldn't need an excuse to order your re-feed. Just tell them what is happening and they should be able to help you.
pinky8484, when I lost weight last year, my bust went down by about 1 cup size. From a DD to about a D.
Reload72, I can just imagine you standing there singing and it's giving me a bit of a chuckle too. What a good idea to get rid of cravings.
Have a great night everyone.
Talk to you all soon.

Boobs and bowels

To the person who asked about bust size, sorry.. I am hopeless at remembering who says what but.... I do read them all. So far I have lost a size around my back but no cup difference, so might drop one cup size by the time I finish. Some people lose off their bust first, and there is no doubt that I gained over the years but it certainly isn't dropping from there this time. I was 18 dd and am now 16 dd
As for the bowels, hmm a common problem with this diet. Many of us drink laxative tea (senna tea) or take metamucil or a similar allowable assistive product to keep us "moving". Its still quite common to only go every two or three days. I find the tea is too aggressive for me and causes cramps and has the potential for accidents!!!! But many on here love it. I take metamucil unsweetened and the occassional dose of Agarol or similar. It generally does the trick after a couple of days.
Good luck.

Hi everybody,
First of all a big welcome to all those who have started writing~! =)

fornight : Congrats on your loss~! Regarding the spray, I think they sell it in supermarket like cold storage. But Peter had told me before that the olive oil is actually better than the spray so if you really wan a spray, can just purchase it at the clinic.

myshy : So glad that your mum is going well.

the old me : Maybe you can try drinking water when u feel like nibbling? or divide out your fruit and cracker allowance so that you can eat them when there is craving for other stuffs?

mumbine : Congrats on your successful cohens day. Keep it going~!

Went out with my friends this week for a karaoke gathering, was thinking hard what can I drink there. Lucky for me they serve diet coke =p. Managed to find an excuse to skip dinner with them, think they should be thinking to themselves why am I acting so weird all of a sudden(I was always the one who initate dinner plan =p). Enjoying my 2 weeks break now, going to try out some new recipes =).

MagicLea - Good to see you're using your imagination when it comes to these meals. I think they can become a little plain if you don't put any imagination into them. Taco-less tacos is a wonderful idea. Never would have thought of it myself !

Netski
- inregards to your motorbike story, you're absolutely right. I really couldn't have put it any better myself. Also congrats on the 13.6kg loss to go. You'll be there in no time !!

Tasm82 - Don't worry about the dress. Come on you've lost 12.9kg ! You should be proud. Just imagine how much slimmer you'll look in it when the wedding does happen.

Pinky8484
- I believe most of the girls on this forum use this tea. I use it too. Works a treat ! Also, yes I've seen the virtual model hings. They are very cool hehe

As for me. I've decided to give this diet another go. I get the cast off my leg on Thursday and I'm sort of walking on it now so I'm not relying on the crutches as much as I was. This makes going to the loo a hell of a lot easier ! I have arranged to have my next blood test on that day as well (I'm taking the day of work hehe) I bought a whole lot of new work clothes last night thinking they would be comfortable and to my disgust they were all snug. I think this was a real wake up call for me as I have put on a bit since the accident while laying in bed feeling sorry for myself :p But it's time to get back on the horse and lose the rest.

Hope you're all going well. Look forward to hearing more weight loss success :D

Oh Well life happens

The old me - I absolutly love cooking... even though it only takes 5 minutes to cook our meals now ... i was browsing the other day for dog jumpers for my 3 dogs and as i did i found heaps of sites to make dog treats... so now instead of making stuff for hubby and myself i am intent on every saturday night cooking up a storm for my 3 girls... a Blue Healer, Kelpie x Blue Healer and a enormous ridgeback... if it's not me getting fat it's them soon we'll have to start a diet plan for our girls :)

Kim - Thankyou for you kind words agbout the dress... my only concern is that the dress won't look right once it is altered because as of today it will have to go in about 3 inches on either side and my fear is to change it may be harder than first antisipated...

To whoever was asking about cup size... as yet i have been on this for 6 weeks and have lost 13kg and 59cm of my body... I haven't lost any cup size as yet but i have lost 15cm of my sides and back... so i am impressed... i like my size c cup breasts and would hate to loose them :)

Keep strong

Tam

Recovered....

Okay, I'm alright....I actually did have a brownie it was only about the size of a finger but still  I then asked my husband to throw the rest out, he was really supportive and got me through it. Also had a prayer before bed.

Despite all those things I lost the 2.5 kg i put on before i started cohens. So now my ticker is accurate again.

I'm doing okay today, looking forward to more results tomorrow, really hoping that the scales show another difference. The only problem is i'm detoxing and have a headache & am finding it really hard to be patient with the kids. I know i've only got a couple more days of this before i feel better. All in all I'm good.

THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT.

I think that it was good if i had to deviate i did it then. I doubt i'm in full fat burning mode yet so it didn't do too much damage. No more though! That was really hard for me to admit that i ate the brownie. Lesson Learnt!

mumbine, good on you for getting hubby to throw out those brownies, and if you had to break it, it was only a tiny piece. A good lesson learned! Drink heaps of water. It helps your body to flush out all the rubbish faster, and hopefully the headache etc won't last for too long. Great weight loss. It's so motivating, isn't it.
Sorry everyone. I don't have time to address everyone today. Hopefully I will be able to get back on later.
Have a great day everyone.

Well its amazing the difference its made, being able to drink the right amount of water again after a weekend of missing a lot of it. Down 1kg!!!

mumbine sorry to hear yesterday didnt go altogether the way you hoped, but like you said you learned from it and thats important. Soon, this week will be a distant memory. Good times ahead girl. By the way I love the apple crumble idea. Similar to what I do, but I reckon it sounds even better.

reload I lurve that song!!!!!

kim good to hear from you. You'll be right back on that wagon and feeling fantastic before you know it.

myshy good news about your mum.

Hoping everyones having a wonderful day

Thanks

Hi Guys!

I had lunch with some girls for one of their B'days and while everyone was having Burgers and Wraps I thought I would go for the salad...

It was a good choice for me since I would never EVER order a salad...PLUS it had no dressing woohoo!

So, with regards to the refeed, should I just email that "Rosemary" lady since we have no clinic here in Melbourne? I know you have ordered a refeed RJM is this what you did?

I hope everyone is plodding along ok...

Hope to post later...Got to get back to work!

Hugs to all you Cohenettes!!!!:)

Hi everyone,
dilfizzle, I had told my consultant from the beginning that I didn't want to go right down to the goal weight they had set for me, and that I wanted to order the re-feed prior to my holiday no matter what I weighed, so it came as no surprise to her when i said that I wanted her to order it. I just phoned and asked her to order it. I think I had to have a final blood test done before they could do the re-feed, but I had no problems.
L-jay, great that you are down another kg. Water makes all the difference, doesn't it.
kim_j01, it's great that you are giving the diet another go. Have you been off it for long? It looks like your weight loss is still powering along, but good luck getting back on track. I'm finding it a lot harder to do 2nd time round than I did the first time I did it. Hope you don't.
Tasm82, good idea to cook for your puppies instead of yourself and hubby. Your weight loss seems to be going great guns. It's a shame you can't return the dress and get another one. Have you tried speaking to the place where you bought it, or you could even sell it on e-bay.
Momiji, well done getting through the outing.
the old me, well done on getting bck on track!!! Also they are excellent suggestions. Knitting is also good for taking your mind off food for a little while, and sweet black tea or coffee is also good.
I am really struggling this week. I am finding it much harder to do 2nd time round than I did the first time I did this. I am going to adjust my ticker to 75kg which is what I am really aiming for (70kg was just wishful thinking), and then it doesn't look like that much to go (mind games). Hopefully only a few more weeks to go. I was seriously thinking about starting the re-feed this week, but then I decided to go and try on my jeans (which I bought when I finished this last time), and although they now fit me again, they are really too tight to comfortably wear, so I will continue on the program until they comfortably fit me again (along with all my other clothes). My refusal to buy any new clothes after I gained a bit of weight has helped me to get myself back on track, and stay on track, and is a good mind set for me to stick to, so until I can fit properly back into my clothes, I am here to stay.
Have a great night everyone.
Talk to you all soon

Cheers to new friends & new beginnings !

RJM: You have so much to offer everyone as a tried and tested cohenette. You'd make a great consultant! Thanks so much to you & L-JAY for your support.

There are so many incredibly inspiring people on this forum. I can't stress that enough. Despite the fact that people are worried their posts are long, I know i don't care, I love reading them all. Please keep on posting. I get the feeling that I found this forum for a reason & you will all play a huge part in my success. I hope I can also offer support to all of you, despite my own downfalls I'm full of dieting wisdom I don't follow my own advice. I'm hoping that will be changing as i go.

Really excited about what the week holds. Good Luck to everyone.

Fishy question

Hello to everyone :)

I hope everyone is having a great day. I wonder what happened to Big Daddy ... maybe all of these empowering women proved too scary for him :D .

I have a question... I have based my diet around lots of delicious meals but I thought that this week I would go and see the local fresh fish man and buy some fish as a change from the chicken and beef. Could any of you give me some inspiring fish recipes?

Have a wonderful day.

Leanne

Hi Everybody

Good to see everyone is doing so well.

Just wanted to update my ticker. Another 1.6kgs lost since my last post a week or so ago.

I have been very OVER IT the last week or so. Hence the lack of posts cause i didn't want to bring everyone down. I only deviated once by having an extra cracker last friday night. And I only had it because my boyfriend played a gig and we didn't get home until way past midnight and my stomach was telling me it was time to eat again and I couldn't get to sleep because my stomach was grumbling so hard it hurt and it was keeping me awake. I wish I had've deviated with something more interesting! Oh well.

Don't you ever want to just break free:confused: ? I have really felt like that lately. And I don't even want anything *naughty*... I'd settle for bacon and eggs or a piece of pumpkin or a piece of broccoli! I'd just like someone else to cook for me... :(

Anyway, the results speak for themselves. I feel better than I ever have in my whole adult life. It's worth it and I'll push through it.. I have 15 more kgs to lose and soon 15 will turn in to only 10 and 10 will turn in to only 5.. I can do it... I just wish that there were some more interesting veggies on the plan!

Sorry about the lack of *sunshine* in my post today ladies!

Keep up the good work!

I'm going to email Rosemary and see how I go with the refeed...

In terms of everything else, I feel like I am doing ok...

I have heard everyone mentioning a difficulty with Constipation...I don't feel like I have that, but it has been a long stretch since I have gone. I almost feel "heavy" if I can use that word. I know, its gross, but what is everyone using? What can we use?

Just a simple Fish thing...I put the garlic and ginger powder, salt and pepper. I wrap that in a bit of foil and steam it in a steamer if you have one, before it is ready I put some fresh corriander on the top. It gives it a nice flavour. A bit boring, but the herbs do help. Also, make sure to weigh them with your vegies!

Cheers

cooking

TASM82 I didn't ,mean that cooking was bad in itself. My problem is that the last binge was after cooking some chocolate muffins and biscuits for a friend when i then ate almost all of them single handed and the friend got none! So it was just a dig at my bad behaviour. I like cooking too.
Beck and LJay thanks for the encouragement, I'll prove that I can do it this time. I am keen to have much bigger no.s on my scoreboard of days without deviation. Beck, I don't knit but the hot sweet drink idea is a goodie too. Thanks. I also use Ljays idea of having one or both my apples baked for dessert/ supper. Its substantial, sweet and helps to avoid other eating. Okay Okay, it has helped for an entire 2 days! LOL But it WILL be longer. I promise myself and all of you.
Sunshine that was a great and inspiring thought about pushing through and fifteen becoming ten and ten becoming five etc. I am going to use that thought too. Thanks
Where are you Lizzie? Away again or just busy?
MagicLea I like to curry or chilli almost everything! LOL Curried fish is nice. I eat a lot of prawns too. Just stirfry capsicum, onion, zucchini add in prawns, chilli and plenty of fresh basil, maybe a little water to just to moisten. Delicious. Its my fav meal (apart from yoghurt) and nice cold too so good to take if you have to eat away from home without access to a microwave.

dilfizzle is it possible to find a clinic in another state, say the closest one, and ring them? They may be able to help you out.
the old me Its funny, I normally am not all that keen on cooking, but when I did this diet the first time around, I was cooking cakes and all sorts of things for everyone else. This started a few weeks into it. I'm getting that desire again, but am not game enough too yet for exactly the reason you stated.
sunshine dont ever not post because you worry about bringing us down. That is why we are here. Its not all about success stories. (though it will be individual successes eventually for all of us) if it were that easy, we wouldnt need this forum. It's only natural we want to "break free" from this sometimes. Is it possible to have someone else prepare some of your food for you, to give you a break from it? Keep focusing on all this program has going for it. Our glass is 1/2 full.
magiclea I'm not much good when it comes to experimenting with food ideas. When I cook, its straight from a recipe book. (aside from basics of course, none of which I'm allowed to have eg.roast lamb etc etc.) So I never have original ideas, to help people with.
mumbine hope you get a good nights sleep, and you get over the worst of it really soon, you're on your way now baby!!
rjm in what way are you finding it harder this time? Hunger-wise? Usually I find diets or certain kinds of exercise harder the 2nd time around, and I think its because I know what I'm in for.
