Hello again. I just want to say thanks for your all kind words, I really appreciate it.

I rang Cohen's today and I am booked in for the seminar on Saturday morning.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long it takes from when you have your tests till you get your program?

Now that I have made my decision to do this, I just want to get stuck into it. I am a emotional eater, I am going to have to find a way to beat this.

Well I look forward to taking the weightloss journey with you all.

Cheers

Lukey, I saw a counsellor on my own (not a seminar), went for a blood test when I was mentally ready to start & then got my program about 5 days after doing the blood test & started the following Monday after reading it thoroughly & getting prepared shopping wise. Being prepared, I find is the biggest key. Look forward to watching you get slimmer! xo Cate

Let us know how you went with the seminar Lukey, won't you?
I didn't go to one so am curious. Always very quiet in here at w/e's. I'll have to get out more!
I can't go anywhere now without someone commenting on my appearance & saying well done. It feels good! Every week I see myself getting slimmer & slimmer. I love Cohen's! Looking forward to getting to goal now. I'm not scared anymore. Cheers, Cate.

Hello

Well I went to my seminar today....it wasn't really a seminar it was me and another girl sitting in the office with the owner of the Cohen's in Canberra. She just through the slide show with us. It was really interesting. What I like most my the before and after photo's of people in Canberra that had achieved their goal. It was amazing.

So I have decided that I will go and get my blood taken on Monday and get started on this new stage of my life as soon as possible.

I guess I won't be able to have many nights like I did tonight...drinking wine, eating cheese, dips, chocolate and chips etc....very naughty indeed.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend....its late, and I need my beauty sleep...he he.

Lukey- Make that any like that for a while! LOL! You've got the rest of your life though! Good decision. Welcome, fellow Cohenite, cheers, Cate.

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had good weekends!

Cate does your Cohen clinic have clothes swaps? My old clinic in Cheltenham did....and it was a great idea, where people brought along their "too big" clothes, and swapped for someone elses. It was especially good for jeans. I know a few ladies who happily came back every 4-6 weeks for a smaller size!
The idea was born from people realising they "passed through" sizes on their way to their final goal....it almost became like a lending library! We also posted items on the notice board there.
I too look at opp shops and recylcled clothing stores...I've found some real gems (I often remodel things , being a bit of a sewing nut)

I'm off to the gym.....I drank alcohol at a friends birthday last night....I'm cross at myself, and feel pretty seedy..:drooling: (self inflicted misery...don't feel sorry for me) Bye!

Hi again...its the soon to be newbie to Cohen's

I went and had my first blood test today. So now its just a waiting game for my program.

I keep thinking of all the food I won't be able to eat very soon and keep thinking I should make the most of it...but then its just extra weight that I am going to have to lose.

The clothes swap is a good idea...but I am so picky when it comes to my jeans...I guess I go to great lengths to get nice trendy jeans in plus size. Hopefully I won't have so much trouble finding clothes I like that actually fit. I am also hoping I won't need a breast reduction if I can lose a lot of weight...might just a breast lift after....hehe.

Hey Im from Singapore and have started the program 2 weeks ago. First week was tough.......btw, Im feeling more hungry than usual, thking might be PMS issue. So how to curb this hunger? Wat should I do if i really feel very hungry?

Ive make some mistake when doing this program. Firstly, I tot that we can just squeeze (nt whole) a little lemon juice in the food and still take 2 fruits per day. But when i read the book again, i realise i make a mistake....will this slow down my wt loss? Im quite worried bcos Ive done it a few times:confused:

Hi All,

Lots of catching up to do in here, havnt been on for a while as I had an unexpected trip to London for work, tried to stick to Cohens food as much as I could - it was tough but I did ok. I didnt gain any weight and had a loss of .5 in 10 days so back on track now.

Welcome to the newbies, FitnFeisty, Lukey, Aussueeater, Baby Jo. Good luck to you all, you are gonna love this program just like so many of us in here do.
One word of advice, stick to it 100% and just sit back and watch the weight drop off.
Everyone else is doing great.
Ezzy..way to go on your 3 month loss and 77cm's...awesome!
Lam: Hope your'e havin g a great time and the relies are gentle with you
Cate: As always doing great , in the 70's now...woo hooo.
Jools, Nonna, Mermaid sister... hope you're all doing great!
Sorry if I left anyone out.

Dinner time here so happy losing all and until next time.....

hi Annie
Well done on your efforts while travelling, I found it didn't effect me and the loss on my return accelerated.
Nice to see you back
Nonna

Annie....very well done.
I find sauces/flour hard to avoid with eating out on trips. In asia I tend to avoid salads for health reasons, and only have cooked veggies....so the selection is sometimes a bit slim.( although I do pack my crackers) An egg at brekky is the easiest!
I had alcohol 3 days ago.....It is SOOOOOO not worth it. Your loss comes to a screeching halt. I also have to admit I felt really quite sick the next day, even though it was 2 glasses! I'm relly very cross at myself for giving into friends (I was really badgered into it, with lots of toasts etc......but still my own silly fault)

I hope everyone else is ticking along well!
Any new cooking ideas? I'm going to spoil myself with prawns this weekend!

Hi fellow Cohenites! I don't know how anyone manages this jetsetting on Cohen's. Annie & Sue- You are incredible!!! I've been a hermit lately. I don't think I'll stay that way for long though. I'm back feeling chirpy!!xo Cate

Hello all,

Cate, Nonna and Sue thanks for your lovely words.

Whilst away I found the evening meals the hardest. I had an apartment with cooking facilities, so prepared b/fasts and lunches but at night I ate out every single night - stuck to cohens foods as much as I could but of course nothing was measured and not all vegies were available.

Sue, this prawn recipe was in May newsletter - I have made this a few times and is yum!
Check it out at:

My latest addiction is fresh ricotta, sprayed lightly with olive oil and with cracked pepper on Salada crackers (Similar to Saltines for non - Aussies)
Yummmmmmooooooooo!!!

Not much else to report, apart that it's cold...brrrrrrr!!!

Hope everyone is doing great :)

Annie, you're an inspiration girl. I travel a bit with work and I am dreading having to go away once I start on Cohen's.

Well I am still waiting for my plan to arrive. In the mean time I am letting fridge total empty and same with my pantry. I am going to get rid of any temptations.

I'm going to find it hard, I always struggle to be good when it comes to eating during winter. Its getting so cold already....but this is my year to shift this excess weight for once and for all. I have to do it for my health.

Keep up the good work everyone...I'm encouraged when I see everyone's tickers ... you have all done so well, hopefully I can be like you in the near future.

Hello All,

I am so happy to be back from my trip and love seeing how well everyone is doing. I had a great trip and so much fun visiting with relatives. Two of them are on diets, so I told them all about Cohen's, they are looking over my new client packet to get more info. One of them just had gastric bypass and has lost 133 lbs in 7 months (and still losing), she looks great but I wish she had found out about Cohen's first. I did the best I could as far as sticking to Cohen's but there was no way of avoiding everything, so I just ate small portions of non Cohen's food. My 4 week blood work came in the day I left, so I am going to wait a week before I have my blood work checked (I started back on 100% Cohen's this morning). I hope my blood work isn't off the charts, hehe. My email from Cohen's will be, so you had bacon, cakes, and non Cohen veggies, tsk tsk. But guess what, I weighed myself today and I still lost a pound, how crazy is that.
Glad to see all is well, and welcome to all the new friends.

Hello Cate,
Glad to see you so chirpy (chipper in USA) you brought a big smile to my face.
You, Annie, and Jools are our rocks, you keep us all stable and looking forward. Thank you for being here.
