Nothing has changed, just really careful on portion sizes, was at the inlaws for christmas lunch in previous years I would have just kept eating, but this year, I stopped and kept a mental note of calories, a couple of days I have went over 2000, but the running streak is still going and I am burning about 3000 per day and consuming 2000.

Great work buddy. 1000 calories of deficit a day is a bit much in the long run and might make maintenance harder than it needs to be but you already know that.

Well, not the best start to the new year, but at least it will keep my focus, weight for this week 200.4lbs. After being under 200 not happy about being over. But a couple of lessons I have learned.
My loss over christmas was really loss on a normal week as the monday to friday I was at work, this week gone when I have been off with the kids, the snack temptation has kicked in along with an increased appetite due to exercise and fuelling my body (la maria you are right, may have to take it to a 500 defecit).
Quick question, anyone know a decent food logging app, i have been totting up manually but with the odd chocolate here and there and occasional nut etc I think I need to be more scientific.
Well happy new year to you all and lets keep on trucking.

We never stop learning CG. Never giving up is the main thing.
I find My Fitness Pal pretty good. The more you use it, the easier it gets & you can save meals you have regularly.

Myfitness pal is good, Geordie. You can scan barcodes and it has all the British foods so quick and easy to use.

Hi everyone, very positive week, downloaded my fitness pal and that is a great help. Continued my running streak, plus this week's weigh in is, 199.2lbs so happy at back under 200.

I know how you feel about being below a certain weight, gaining a few extra pounds and getting mad about it. It's life though. We lose weight, we gain weight, we get happy, we get sad. I wouldn't sweat it. You're still doing really good and, overall, you should be very happy with yourself.

Food logging app? I use MyFitnessPal. It's free, you can use it on your phone, your computer, your tablet, etc. It's extremely user-friendly and easy-to-use. I've been using it for a while now and I actually love it. No complaints.

Thanks chef, downloaded mfp really easy and it is helping.
Well another loss this week, so going in the right direction.
Week 9 198.6

Crossfit is brutal but a lot of fun. Do make sure you concentrate on form rather than reps at first or you're in danger of killing your back/shoulders/knees.

Weekly weigh in, 197.2lbs really happy to be going in the right direction.
Tried crossfit and enjoyed it, however, it is £55 per month so about $65pm and the classes tend to be really early (when I am sorting the kids for school) or at about 6pm, so I would not be able to justify it.

I have looked at some of the workouts on youtube etc and the workout I did in the class could be modified for at home, so that will be the way I will go. Looks like I wont hit 190lbs which was my 12 week target. HOWEVER, and it is a big, however, I actually feel in a better place and am confident that the positive changes will get me there. Once again thanks for the support.

It's great that your weight is going down & that you are feeling confident & in a better place. You are doing well!
