Babe, you're doing great. We all know the plateau periods are going to come now and then. Just keep hammering and the door will break down.

And you did lose almost 2lbs this week. That's great, take the victory and run with it!
Don't make me come over there and smack your ass.
LOL! thanks cord! i'll keep hammareing at that door.

ahahahaha, that made my day. thanks cord.
hey mike, as usual thanks for checking in!

Awesome job exercising! I am popping in here for motivation! Been weeks now since I exercised and I REALLY need to get back to it myself..
hey blancita, thanks! i'm really trying to keep things consistent, will check in on you soon to see how your doing :)

WEEK 10 OF EXERCISE DAILY WEIGH IN

==================================
HIGHEST WEIGHT: 159.1kgs (350.7pounds)
CURRENT WEIGHT: 149.9kgs(330.5pounds)
===================================

Sunday: 03/05/09 - 150.2kgs (331.1pounds) : 40min treadmill, 45min combat class
Monday: 04/05/09 - 149.9kgs(330.5pounds) : 45min treadmill, 45min combat class
Tuesday: 05/05/09 - 149.9kgs(330.5pounds) :

okay, today weighed in same as yesterday and i'm not surprised because yesterday i decided to give myself a treat. i have eaten CLEAN for 3 and a half weeks straight...i'm amazed because that's the first time in my life i've ever done that. even though i've been eating healthy since february, i would give myself a cheat meal once a week which i'd misuse and eat everything in sight which is why the last three weeks i decided i won't give myself any treat whatsoever.

anyway, so yesterday i decided to buy myself a slice of chocolate brownie cheesecake (which i was a big fan of before i started health eating). the first bite was heaven, the second bite was just okay, every bite after that felt more like a chore! sort of like i was just eating the slice because it was there not because i wanted it. wow, this is really a new me and i'm proud. so anyway today have woken up and continued with my correct eating and will do so for another 3 weeks. i'll be giving myself a treat every 2-3 weeks. and i'm glad that i've gathered enough discipline to eat like a normal human-being and not mindlessly like i used to.

i've noticed the past few months even though i've been health eating it's like when i give myself a cheat day, the next few days i'd have some really good weightloss. i think having something different in the diet once in a while sort of jump starts the weightloss again. so here's hoping i get out of this plateau this week, i'm convinced today is the last day i see 149.9kgs on the scale ever again.

hi cherry, i've been following you in all these other threads and FINALLY decided to check out yours. First i have to say long as the numbers are going down, you are not in a plateau. you can say you are at the beginning phases of one, but not one at all. You are doing excellent and will continue to do so because you are putting in the time and effort, so don't let it get you down. A guy at gym gym put it best when i was stuck for a couple weeks. he says that he feels that weight comes off in spurts, it never really constant, like your body gets preoccupied with something else then one day says oops! i am supposed to be burning fat and it starts flying off again. obviously it isn't true in literal terms. but i've notice that i'll be low for a few weeks and bam! where did all this loss come from!?! I try to lose 10 lbs a month and i swear its like 0 here and 1 or 2 there then one week i lose 5-7 lbs. I don't question it, just revel in it! haha. So i say to you don't fret, I you are 100% sure you are doing everything right, you'll have you days of big losses.

Also i eat clean, but i work in my cravings too. every tuesday is a venti mocha frappuccino with no whipped cream. I go out for a turkey sausgae and mushroom omelette once every weekend, and i go out to eat once or twice a week. And if you notice my ticker, my year has been going pretty well for just starting the 5th month of the year. Just make sure you are portioning everything correctly. you can still eat clean and over eat. keep in mind the mroe you workout the more you can eat! i use that as incentive to get out to the gym at least 5 days a week when tennis season is in and six when not.

KEEP IT UP! you've got a new regular in your thread now!

hey kureransu,
thanks for stopping by my diary! and for the encouraging words. it helps alot to know what you've said about the body sometimes loosing weight in spurts....i'll just keep on working out because i know only good can come out of it no matter what the scale is saying.

when it comes to treat meals, i actually initially used to have one cheat day once a week, but i'd eat mindlessly all day and end up putting some pounds on and wreck the hard work i'd done for the week.....which is the reason why these past 3 and a half weeks i decided i'd eat right with no cheat meals to teach myself to eat disciplined....and after yesterday's treat meal i believe i've definitely achieved that discipline. so will go another 2/3 weeks eating right....then thereafter will do one treat meal once a week.

and thanks for letting me know you have a few treats per week and have still achieved consistent weight loss....it'll make me not feel super guilty for treating myself once in a while. i'll learn to treat it as a reward for the hard work i've put in.

thanks again for checking in. all the best xoxo

today was a lousy day. it was raining quite abit which really sucks because i take the bus. so left the house at the usual time but couldn't get out at my stop coz it was still pouring hard. then when it reduced went to the gym but my shoes and socks were wet from the rain, so i only did the aerobics class, i didn't want to risk treadmilling with wet shoes because i don't want to develop another blister. so left afterwards....hopefully there'll be no rain the rest of the week so that i can continue with my workouts as usual.

so today did:
-45min aerobics class

That sucks Cherry - I feel ya. It is monsoon season here in Alabama; the month of April is one big sopping mess here. It was pouring rain (flash flood type rain) for the last four days before this one. The sun is out today though. Thank goodness for small favors.

Hey, 45 min. is better than nothing! Keep it up girl, you're doing fine!!

hey hey you made the most out of what you had! no need to go the lousy route, we all have those days, its what we do with them that makes us different. you didn't let it get you down! you got in 45 min of exercise! smile! you did well. you probably did more than enough today, so just treat it as a half rest day! i know you want to get to that goal, and you will, so juts relax and let life has it way sometimes as it likes to do when we want to accomplish things. you'll ahve the last laugh, i guarantee!

thanks maverick for checking in! and wow, i guess i should be glad the rain isn't the flash-flood type, that would really suck! as you said, thank goodness for small favours right?

hey kureransu, thanks! i don't feel so horrible now, as you say, half a workout is better than no workout, tomorrow's another day afterall.

i would go find some puddles to splash about in. kinda hop around etc. kinda like cardio, just dirtier.

LOL! now why didn't i think of that? it would be so much more fun than doing the boring ol' treadmill.

it's funny because these days when i see kids play in the rain or mud all i can think of is germs/diseases/cold/wet....makes me wonder what changes when we become adults? i wish i could have fun playing in the rain just like i did as a child. come to think of it, wish i could be a kid again, life was so carefree!

heh. im old but i still act like a kid. me and dixie play in the mud. saturdays i wake up eating breakfast and watching cartoons. haha.

Hi Cherry, I know what you mean by those decimals. Mine shows ounces and if I even lose one ounce it boosts my energy. You are doing so awesome! I wanted to tell you that you are a great motivation to me. I think about the similar thoughts we have and it encourages me because we are not alone. This is the first time in all these years of Yo-Yo-ing that it feels like a lifestyle change. I know we can do it! Have and awesome day today. Combat Aerobic classes sound like so much fun!!!

okay, today i woke up feeling horribly sick. (i instantly knew it was the fish i had last night and have since thrown away). i woke up with a killer headache and really bad nausea and even threw up. i've spent most of my day drinking lots of fluids and eating light proper meals and getting lots of rest. just one of those things i guess. i feel a little better now but not great, i think a good nights sleep will do me good and can continue my exercise tomorrow.

on other matters, i'm thinking of buying a shotgun to shoot my weighing scale to smitherins! i seriously think it's playing a bad joke on me, i mean how can i weigh in at the EXACT same weight again? i'll workout tomorrow and hopefully the scale will read different on friday. i know i whine about this everyday but i always say it's better to let things out rather than keep them in.
