Ok, so here I go. I was told that I have to listen to my sister if she is going to help me with this. ROFL! (Dariqueen is my sis)

I started gaining weight in University, and then lost a lot of it right after I had my first daughter, believe it or not. But, that's where it ended. I started gaining slowly, it was never over a one year period, it was over about 5 years. I am happy being ME right now, but I want to look better and feel healthier. I want to be able to run around with my kids, and to be able to wear something sexy when I go out and not have people stare and laugh at me!

I am a huge snacker, that's my downfall... especially at night, because I stay up quite late. Last night, I had an apple. So I was pretty proud of myself. It's a start, right?

Hey chelseabun nice to meet you!

I am a newbie too, only started my diary today, but already had one nice post on it, so thought I'd 'pay it forward' and post on yours!!

Well done for making a start, and only having an apple last night, (I know apples are like the typical healthy dieters thing, but I just don't really like them!!)

I myself am trying to lose my uni weight (what is it about student life- takeaways, no exercise, alcohol, it's terrible!!) Im in my third year now, I'd love to be as thin at graduation as I was when I started as a skinny fresher! (i've put on 40lbs in 2 years).

Its going well though and I hope yours does too! Lots and lots of good luck :)

I had a problem w/ nighttime snacking too. I decided to start "doing something" Sometimes I paint, sometimes I cross stitch...but I always have something in my hands and on my mind at night, to help from being bored and eating.

Glad Dariqueen invited you here, its a great place!!
 
Oh snacking will be the downfall of us all! heh.. Not really but I definitely know where you're coming from.
I'm also a night owl and used to just gorge myself at night on the worst possible junk foods.
But I've been controlling myself with that for the past week though. I might munch on something, but it will only be a very very small portion. Like just a bite.
It's been hard for a few days though but I know it's going to get easier :)

Anywho.. welcome! You did right by listening to your sister!! :p hehe

Glad you finally caved...one thing I should warn you, is when I'm logged onto this site, I have pompoms in my hands...:D
 
Just watch where you wave them, they may end up shoved up your keister. ROFL!!!!!

Thanks, everyone! I just did a 20 minute cardio workout, and 20 minutes of fit to strip. LOL!!!

I do scrapbooking at night, which helps, but end up on the computer for ideas half the time and THAT'S when I snack. So maybe I should just not turn my chair around when I'm scrapping. LOL!
 
I had to stop bringing snacks into the living room; my hand would reach into the bag without my permission.:mad:
 
Nice job so far! Next time you feel like snacking, try chewing gum instead. Took me a few weeks to get used to it, but it helps when you feel like eating and aren't hungry.
Of course, fruits and vegetables work too

So I suppose I did not too badly today! I didn't count points... but I had a salad for lunch, along with 3 tiny meatballs... LOL! Then for supper I had another salad with 5 more tiny meatballs. (they were GOOD!!) I did snack a touch tonight, but chose whole wheat baked tortilla's with salsa, and only a handful. So all in all, along with the exercise, not too shabby for me.
 
Well I haven't gotten a walk in yet today, it just didn't work out with the kids... but I have a meeting tonight, so I'm going to take the kids to my grandma's and walk up from there. Providing it doesn't start pouring by then. Otherwise, I guess it's just an exercise video after the kids are in bed!

Eating wise, not a GREAT day, but not too badly. I did have 2 cups of coffee this morning as my breakfast, but it's one of those mornings that I feel rushed and didn't have time to eat. Lunch was a bowl of tomato soup with 3 crackers, and for supper we're having chicken breasts done in the oven with a bit of seasoning and I'll have a big side of veggies.
 
Nice! (well, except for those evil, delicious meatballs...I still have some calling me from the freezer) Looks nice out for the walk:)
 
Ok, I NEED to walk today!!! Going to see if my son will go down with my mom and grandma later on and I'll take the baby for a long walk. Also have to pick up more lettuce. I LOVE my salads, but go through lettuce so fast it's hard to keep up!

Sure! Jackson said he wants to go for a walk. He didn't want to stay at Amma's last night, though, so I'm not sure if he'll want to get dropped off. I'll work on him.

I did!! Dari and I walked 'the loop' as our town calls it... I even made her go up the big hill. LOL!!! So I'm feeling good that I got that in for the day. Big salad for lunch!
