Cat's Meow's Diary

The pictures look great. & I am always amazed at the weight change with clothes. Makes me want to strip down in the doctors office, but then I would be naked in public & well... that would suck.

Good luck with the Valentines day challenge. We will lose this holiday sludge & more.

I have a doctors appointment this coming Wednesday. I haven't been in about 2 years. I'm wearing the lightest clothes I own. I hope she takes note of my weightloss. Last time I was there I had this little argument with her about exercise and sleepiness. She told me to exercise. I complained I couldn't because I was always tired... She said because you don't exercise... Cuz I'm tired... blah blah blah...
I still have my sleepy days but now I know it's because I'm actually tired not becuase I'm lazy and it's an excuse.

Hi Catsmeow!
I've seen your pictures on the before and after thread...wow! You look great!

I used to have sleepy days too, and it turned out it was because I was allergic to some foods and they slowed me down a lot...

Thanks so much!

Good wine makes me sleepy.:D

The foods that slow me down now is anything with too much caffiene which gives me migraines. :ack2:

Your after pics look great!

Thanks Casey!

Congrats, and I hope the doctor's appointment goes well.

It's just a physical that I've been overdue for a while now. I should probably get a new prescription for my migraines... and my left knee has been bothering me... and my collarbone pops out of place on the left side if I sleep on it funny... and my sternum cracks like my knuckles and back... and I have a funny bump on the back of my scalp.....

Yeah way overdue :biggrinjester:

You do look absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for sharing those inspirational pictures. How would you say your mindset has changed after shedding 60 lbs?

Seeing the scale change is great, but what's even better is seeing my thighs shrink and being able to fit into smaller sizes. I'm going to try to make it a habit to take my measurements once a month. I think it's harder to see a change in oneself. The progress is too slow or subtle (in your mind) or we're just too critical of ourselves. That's why it's great to have honest support. I hated it when people would say "You look great. Are you losing weight?" When I'm sure they knew damn well I hadn't lost a pound. "Are you losing weight" is not a compliment in my book.

It's true, it's harder to see a change in oneself. Even when you're gaining weight. I didn't see any change in me lately, I only noticed clothes gettin tighter. And when I finally weighed myself I was astonished to see how many pounds I had gained.
The same things happens when I'm losing weight... I always look the same to me. It's great to know I'm not the only one!

I hate the "are you losing weight?" compliment too. People say it when they're out of ideas for real compliments...

Just popping in to holler "hi" at ya!!
Thanks for stopping by my diary and dropping some lines of encouragement.
No time today but I'll catchup on your diary later!

Thanks, Lana!
I think as far as my mindset... I know I'm the same person but I think different parts of my personality are amplified now. I'm the funny sarcastic girl and I like being the center of attention, but now I'm not self conscious about being the center of attention in a large group. I'm more stylish now, but I think it's because I can fit into the cute stuff I've always wanted to wear. I'm more focused throughout my day, more motivated to get things done. Even little errands like running out for gas or milk or kitty litter aren't such a hassle anymore.... It's hard to really pinpoint actually. I'm a better me, I'm enjoying life more.

I was in denial for a while gaining weight and trying to fit into the same size pants. I couldn't breathe in them but I so wanted to not be getting bigger. I squeezed my butt into a size 18 til I had enough. I'm a size 10 now and feeling great about how far I've come. I had planned on taking measurements the first of every month, but with the holidays I forgot on Jan 1st. Thanks for gettting me to remember! I'll take measurements tonight and post them!

I understand why people say it but I'm a little over hearing it as a compliment or whatever it is...

HI! back at ya! Hope your weekend is going well. I'm having a hard time staying with the no sweeties, no alcohol thingie. BF and I went to Longwood Gardens to see the lights display and they were selling hot mulled wine! Had to really work hard to pass it up. I got a good walk in strolling around the gardens but man was it cold! When it started to rain we had to head inside.

Two days down for Deprivation Week, so far so good!

Thanks so much Kim! I am proud of myself.. Modesty is a great thing and all but we all need to be able to pat ourselves on the back for a job well done, especially for something I've been working hard for.

I'm doing well so far. It's only the start of the week and it's hard but it'll get easier as the days go by. I'm trying to keep myself busy and make the right choices when I'm hungry.

Hope your weekend is going great as well!
