Hi, Jack. I don't think of Tasmania as being exotic but it is a wonderful place to live. I love nature & it abounds with nature. Having 50 acres of our own to go bushwalking around is something I don't take for granted. My calorie counting was non-existent yesterday, but I would have been about 1300 I think.
Hi, LaMa. Grown-up family time is the best. It was just lovely. Kids always take up the focus. We also had some lovely social time at D's work & I caught up with one of D's friends (the one who took our chooks). R & I both bought a jacket each as they were having a clearance sale in their office. We wandered around the local town a bit & R got to say hi to some people he hasn't seen since he was a teen. It was lovely.
Hi, Petal. I think calorie counting will work for me again. I just need to push through the hunger, which I have been doing. I recognise it & then tell myself I won't die.
Hi, Marsia. R is doing well considering C is still trying to juggle everything & keeps dropping the balls. He is prepared to see her when she can fit him in & is not putting any pressure on her. She says it's not fair to him, but he says that should be up to him to decide. He is so kind & loving & I don't think she is playing games. Life is just very hard for her at the moment. I hope they get through this & spend the rest of their days loving one another, preferably living together in the same place.
I am feeling good this morning after another good night's sleep. When we got back from lunch (no wine btw) I think everyone felt lazy & sleepy. R sat down & yawned. I waited about 5 mins & then said: 'Let's go for a walk down to the bush & then we can sit down & have a wine".
We walked for about an hour, chatting & stopping here & there, discussing places to put a cabin & places I like to meditate, listening to the birds. I pointed out bandicoot holes & homes in old logs & it was lovely. Some of R's friends we would like to have come up & stay & they could camp & do some touristy things around here.
I forgot to say that when I picked him up off the bus on Wednesday night we saw 4 eastern barred bandicoots between the turnoff to our house & our house- one of them was tiny & SO cute.
I also forgot to say that I won the golf comp on Wednesday. I won my division but also the monthly medal, beating the A-graders & was beaten on a countback on the putting. I didn't have a cracking score, but I am very happy with that. It was hard going & I ached all over Wednesday night.
R is heading back today & G & I are going to drive him into town & pick up something. We'll then have a quiet afternoon as we have a fair bit on this weekend. We are out tonight (footy tipping breakup) & tomorrow night (pool grand final) & golf again on Sunday.
