Cate's Diary

You have sheep! How did we not know this before? haha! I hope you get all of them back. Not going to lie... I'm super amused at the thought of a sheep snack trail. lol!

I hope G is feeling all better soon!

We have 11 sheep only. Our sheep look quite different to our neighbours & hers are really tame & come when they're called. We live on 50 acres & the sheep do a great job of keeping the grass down, especially up near our house. I throw them out ewe & lamb pellets every so often so that I can entice them to the house & also get them into the top paddock. I most probably would have got them all up there on my own, but having the well-intentioned "help" has spooked them. I'm still not sure how I'm going to get the other 6 back. L, our neighbour thinks she could get them into her shed, but then we don't have a ute with stock rails anymore.
Hana- Ha ha. That's funny. I won't tell G you said that as I would embarrass him :blush5:
Jen- you can picture me also calling out "Sheep, sheep,......come on sheep..." as I drop a little trail of pellets along behind me. It worked though :D
This sheep thing is starting to make me a bit grumpy. I want them shorn. It's very frustrating. Stuff like this will has us moving to town eventually :(

Hey there! You have a big property... I bet is awesome to take walks in your own "backyard" and enjoy some green! Here where I live I am surrounded by concrete, lol. But I shouldn't complain... two blocks away there are some
Nice trails. Good luck with your sheeps!

Hi, Vanita. It is great to be able to enjoy nature in our own backyard. The sheep situation is improving. 2 have found their way back through the fence. That's 7 on the right side of the fence, 4 still to get back.
I need to buy lots of steel posts to reinforce our fence. I may yet learn some fencing skills. Needs must.

I won't thanks, LaMa. I promise.
One thing I am going to do is try to play golf every Wednesday this month. We have a pre-season Cup & the winner is the best 3 net scores in the month. I am aiming for some consistency this year. I need to push myself each week to get out there & play.
I am fasting today(500cals between 12-8pm) & will weigh tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty good at the moment.
2017 aim is to get fitter & stronger.(allcdnboy's influence here I think) Feeling strong is such a morale booster.

Did my 500 cal fast yesterday, without too much trouble. Weighed this morning- up a bit since last week. I had better do a second fast this week.
D(our older son) is coming up after work to help me reinforce the fence. :)
I have to go now- running late!
Love to all, xoxo Cate

Wow, when I stopped in to check on you I didn't expect all this sheep talk! I hope those last 4 made it back in finally. I had forgotten how our seasons are opposite. Today as I left for work it was -1°F (-18°C)!

Yep. They had escaped! D came up & he & I spent hours strengthening the fences. I have band aids everywhere & am aching all over. Hopefully I'll get the 7 back in tomorrow. Bloody sheep!
Got my steps up a bit :D
