Cate's Diary

Thanks Anke & LaMa. I had to go back to the last page to work out the cat reference :)
I think I was the nervous one!
I had a very emotional day & I'm glad it's over. I picked up Mum's ashes mid afternoon. We didn't get home until 6. G feels fine & I'm feeling ok now too xoxo

G had a good night & is feeling fine. We woke to snow! It's freezing! I'm also feeling good & not stressed :) I always think this smiley face is so GOOFY.

Thanks, Butterfly. I'm fine honey. I am being a lazy-bones, but enjoying it xo
Korrie- July is the middle of our Winter. It doesn't normally snow where we live, but climate change is well & truly happening & maybe we have to get used to more extreme weather. We went from drought & bushfires to one of the wettest Winters on record already, with snow thrown in for good measure. Tasmania does not get really hot in Summer, nor very humid,& we are not far from the Antarctic.
"Tasmania has a cool temperate climate with four distinct seasons. Summer lasts from December to February when the average maximum sea temperature is 21 °C(70 °F). On land, maximum temperatures average 20 °C (68 °F) to 24 °C (75 °F) along the coast and in the lowlands, such as around Launceston."
C'mon Spring!
I'm feeling good today, after a nice chill out day yesterday. G & I have been watching Le Tour every night, but falling asleep, waking up etc & sleeping in until 8am, which is nice.
He is feeling really well & we are both quite positive all will be well.
Time to go waste some time on FB xoxoC

I would of welcomed some snow today. It was 90 something degrees today. Way too hot and humid for me and my lungs. lol!

Hot and humid here, which doesn't feel nice but at least means everything stays green. Like REALLY green. Check-your-bike-for-roots-in-the-morning green. Much better than dusty and brown. Glad you're feeling better!

Snow...seriously? It's actually really cold in Sydney at the moment. Not cold like Tassie but cold for Sydney. We were starting to get some hot weather and then bam! yesterday was pull out the overcoat.
I am so pleased you can have some decent rest and relaxation time. That is so important when dealing with ongoing issues.
Hope you have another nice, cosy day in front of your heater or fire. x

Haha thanks!! The temp was 100 today
100? You know it's cold when that sounds appealing.....
Hot and humid here,
I'll even take humid :)
Hi Cate, glad yesterday went okay and hopefully you get clear results back soon!
Thanks, Julie. Me too!

Thanks, Florence. I spent a very lazy day in front of our wood heater yesterday. I feel slightly sloth-like & it is time I started getting back into some sort of exercise routine again.

Plan-
At this stage, we are planning a holiday next year (July 2017) mainly to the Greek Islands(highest priority), but possibly also Rome &/or Venice.
I really want to be at my ideal weight, which is about 6kg less than I am now. I have one whole year to do it. Now that I have a juicy carrot dangling in front of me I should be able to really set a course for it. I have been messing about for too long. I am starting to get very excited about it. I will try to firm my body up as well, which will be harder than losing weight. Greek Islands! :D
We may fly to Venice & then go by ferry to Greece.
*sigh*
I have always wanted to go to Venice. I have read all of Donna Leon's Guido Brunetti books & LOVE them. G is reading her latest right now. I read it last week. We loved Rome, but we may do a trip to Italy another time. We are talking about it right now. We are starting to think we'll go just to Greece & the Islands next trip & maybe Italy the next one after that. Hopefully, I will catch up with a forum friend in Athens (J-xo :D).
I love planning holidays :D

Should you end up spending a weekend in Venice: it's not too hard to get to from here and I've been thinking of going for a while... so if you think you'd have time for dinner with a stranger we could synchronize.

Really? Wow! I would love to meet you in person LaMa. I was thinking I would have to fit Vienna in sometime. Maybe we'll go back to thinking Venice/Athens/ Greek Islands :) . How exciting!
PS. We are not strangers!

Spoke to my brother yesterday. He was calm.
Went for a walk yesterday, have done 20 squats this morning & am doing a FD.
There is lots of snow on the mountains!
Feeling good :)
