Cate's Diary

Thanks LaMa, tete & CaliGirl.
Our neighbour didn't get back until late so we re-arranged it for Monday. D came & borrowed our electric heaters for the night. He & the kids are staying with us tonight.
I'm better about everything today. There is no point being upset over it anymore.
If the specialist was worried about G I'm sure he wouldn't postpone it for a month, so I will try not to think about that either.
The kids will be arriving soon. G & D will head off to 8-ball & I will come in a bit later with the kids so they can get to see their Dad compete at the state level. I'll come home with them later in the afternoon before it gets too cold.
I feel good today & my weight is slowly dropping back thank goodness.
Love to all, xoxo Cate

Had a good night with the kids Sat night. I bought E a new puffer jacket as her's got ruined in the floods & also bought them head torches each & one for her BF who's birthday it is this week(also a ss drink bottle). She's going to a sleepover on Friday night & it's a night she usually spends with her dad so I thought I would organise it for him.
Sun we went into 8-ball & at the end of the day, with only about 12 frames to go out of 76 our older son, D is 2nd & my LH, G is 18th out of 40 people who tried out for the state. I am very proud of them both.
Today we are hopefully having the heater fixed!
We are also delivering a load of wood to a friend's home. The guy we bought the Ute off did not make any commission on it & we have been looking to repay him somehow. We were going to shout him a meal Sat night, but then I had to have the kids. His GF yesterday mentioned that they had run out of wood. :D Perfect :D
We'll head off shortly. Ate healthy over the weekend & will fast again tomorrow & weigh Wednesday. I'm feeling much more comfortable.

Thanks, LaMa. Feeling comfortable is very important. One of my "reasons for losing weight & getting healthy" was to feel comfortable in my own skin."
The heater is now fixed & we delivered the wood (80km return trip) He arrived home while we were unloading the wood & he was tickled pink! :D
It is so cold today! Brrrrrr!

Almost back to my 3 weeks ago weight. I will do another fast tomorrow & that should have me back down again. It is SO much harder doing a 500cal fast day in Winter!
It rained half the night & I decided not to go out to the golf club. It is freezing & windy. I slept in until 8.15 instead.
I think I'll hop on my exercise bike today & maybe do some weights. I'm going to issue myself a July challenge, after basically having a month off. I miss the self-discipline. I actually enjoyed doing squats each day, but find without an actual challenge I hardly ever do them.I know I'm a little bit crazy.
I just spotted a wedge-tailed eagle out the window, in the distance. As much as I much prefer Summer to Winter, Winter still has its' upsides. The look of snow on the mountains, eagles soaring on the wild winds, snuggling under the doona, sitting in front of a wood heater, scarves......I love scarves!.....
We have now just had our shortest day :D so I am going to picture Spring & Summer getting closer. That just made me smile.
OK. Enough dreaming. It's time for some time-wasting on FB.
xoxo Cate

Day-dreaming at its best......I actually love places that have seasons. My hometown in Brazil is near the Ecuador line and over there it's 90-95degrees Celsius every.single.day of the year!!! = (

Glad the heater was fixed!!! Glad you are feeling better!!! Glad to see you motivated again!!!

I do believe those fast days during winter time are harder, but you do burn more calories on winter days though...so that's the upside! ;-)

Sending you a big hug!

Just saw this & quite liked it-

I like winter, as long as the sun doesn't stay hidden for weeks on end (which it has a tendency to do here, due to low-hanging clouds). Life is quieter. But then of course I miss the green of spring and summer... I'm really happy to see all seasons come and go :)

The sun sure is hiding today LaMa! It's raining very steadily. At least when it's raining it's not usually freezing cold. One thing we really do get here is the 4 seasons. They are quite distinctive. I love that.
Didn't bike or do weights yesterday but did clean the oven & did lots of other housework. It just had to be done. UGH! A book was read in there too :)

More housework yesterday, did 20 squats, ate healthily.
Today I'm fasting again as we're heading to Melbourne for a couple of days & will be eating out all of the time. I'm looking forward to some Vietnamese food :)

Something to report-
For 2 nights in a row I have not woken for well over 7 hours. I was thinking.......what am I doing differently? Then I realised that I started taking Turmeric capsules last weekend, so I looked up "Does Turmeric help you sleep soundly?" & found this-

*sigh* How wonderful it feels to have a GOOD night's sleep!
*sigh* How wonderful it feels to have 2 Good night's sleep in a row!!! :D
I don't like putting links, but I think the article is worth reading. It's not spruiking a particular brand of Turmeric. You could have the natural powder or root, but I am taking a supplement I bought on special at a chemist warehouse.

Having fun already! I don't ever want to live in a city, but there are some things I miss. G & I happened upon a marriage equality march & joined in Everyone should have the opportunity to marry the one they love :beating:

:party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party:

All the yays for that, Cate :) Now, if you happen upon my soul mate while out and about be sure to give him my number, yeah? :p
