Cate's Diary

Thanks Q. I had a really good day today & my leg does feel better. It's very colourful :) I played 18 holes of golf & played better than I did at the weekend. The company was excellent too. All in all, a good day. I also escaped straight after presentation & quite enjoyed being home early. We're sitting having a relax with a pot of herbal tea. G has a roast chicken cooking in the oven & lots of veggies cooked. YUM.
My computer is playing up at the moment & I'm not getting around the diaries as I would like. I also have to head off early tomorrow for a day in town.
Love to all, xoxo Cate.

Cate, you have so much energy! I love it! I like your squat plan- I think I'm going ti incorporate daily squats going forward.

Hi Misty. Squats are a good thing as they are easy to fit in every day. I try to do them before my shower, but if I have forgotten, like this morning, I can do them anytime during the day. (like when I get off the computer :D )
Hi LaMa & thanks for the big hug honey. I do feel like I am doing well at the moment......*touch wood*
I went to get "fitted" for new golf clubs yesterday, but I have a sore muscle on my right arm & I think it is from playing a little bit too much golf. Our course is very dry & the ground is as hard as a rock. I had to abandon the practise shots yesterday & go back another day. I think I will have a couple of lessons too. My handicap is slowly coming in. I am loving my golf!
Squats, not done yet, but will be in 10 mins, weigh-in Sun morning after 2nd fast day tomorrow, rang 2 old friends(not home!),played 36 holes of golf this week.

Take care of that arm Cate, would be a shame if it turned into a longer term issue. Great job on the squats!

Thanks, Tru & LaMa. My arm is feeling much better with a rest from golf & some massaging. Because Monday is a holiday for Anzac Day there is meant to be a comp, which G, as Captain, has to run. I'll think about whether I play or not. If we can get someone else to run the day we might I think. G has headed off to play golf up in the highlands. I'm going to visit Mum, do some shopping etc. & try to pretend I am not hungry. I really have been feeling slimmer lately, so it's worth it. Not easy, but worth it. I like the fact that I can not count calories 5 days a week.
Did 50 squats yesterday, 20 so far today, doing my 2nd FD today, spoke to a very dear old friend, yesterday :D, will weigh tomorrow, played 36 holes of golf this week.

Had a nice day yesterday. I managed to get to 5.45pm without eating anything & then had a delicious meal of Peppered Hare, quinoa, baked Pumpkin, spinach, carrots, cauliflower & Broccoli, followed by some delicious strawberries & a small mandarin. I just wanted to see if I could do it & I did. It was easier than having a tiny lunch & a tiny dinner. The GK's arrived early & we had a nice evening. They stayed the night & D went off to play in an 8-ball grand final. He picked them up this morning & had breakfast with us & has now taken them back to their Mum's & he has gone to work. The house is very peaceful. Nice, lazy Sunday coming up :)
My breakfast this morning- zucchini, mushroom, tomato, 1 small piece short-cut bacon & 2 free-range eggs cooked in a little olive oil & on oat toast. YUM!
Weight-same(goes up & down), 20 squats(not done yet-but I will), new week(no golf yet)....hmmm(who will I ring this week?)

Thanks Delsid. It's all mostly about attitude & confidence. We can do almost anything we set our minds out to do. I am a very stubborn & persistent person. Lazy Sunday's are lovely.
Hi LaMa. We eat really well. G is an excellent cook, but I do the shopping. I missed something that we ate last night, which was a sort of Ratatouille with zucchini, tomato, mushrooms, onion, celery, garlic etc. We're about to have the same. Food should not only be nutritious, but also preferably delicious.
Enjoying my Sunday xoxo

Damn. I can't edit my last post! Today is Sunday & we get to have some chocolate & some sweet treats after dinner. It's not o a pig-out at all, just some yummy dark chocolate(4 squares?) & some almond & honey slice(GF) that I keep in the freezer (so it doesn't talk to me), some GF molasses licorice & more yummy strawberries. It makes me feel that I am not missing out on sweets treats, so I don't feel deprived.
Did 30 squats.

Thanks LaMa. I won't lie. My arm hurt, but it's getting better. My golf , on the other hand, was very ordinary. Oh well!
G & I got very angry today. We ran the comp etc with no help, as usual, but accidentally heard something that was so disappointing & upsetting half way through our round of golf that it really messed us up. G is not good at expressing himself, but I will be letting people know how pissed off we are.
It all helps confirm our decision to go off committee in October, but it does not make us feel good.
I'll stop now. Anger is not good for anyone.

Anger burning slowly over a long period of time isn´t good. Anger which gives us the strength to make changes is. Hugs for both you and G!

You're right LaMa. G wrote a letter during the night, expressing how he feels & I have emailed it to the Secretary of our committee(B) & asked her to forward it on to all of the committee members. Thanks for the hugs honey. It was a rough night xo
Was going to have another FD day, but decided against it. I feel tired enough. No squats done yet either.

A good night's sleep & feeling fine.
R, our younger son is coming up for a few days & will arrive this afternoon. He's not going back until Monday :)
I'm about to head to golf. If my arm is ok today I may play again on Sat. (R might play golf Sat.) He sounds fairly positive at the moment, which is great!
Did my 20 squats at 9.30 last night. Playing my 2nd round of golf this week.
