Cate's Diary

Good luck Cate - and R of course! I must have jinxed it, saying you sounded relaxed the other day. But yay on managing your fast even though it was really hard :grouphug:

Oh sweetie, I have been relaxed & enjoying life & still am really. I can't stay so tangled up in his emotions to the extent that it affects my well-being so much. I have to learn some skills to help me cope with them & I am doing better with it. He has not rung yet, but if he doesn't soon I will ring him. It is not a matter of busting his bubble. I think I have to try to be his voice of reason. He is so lovely.

Had a good day today & did not weigh, even after a fast day. I'm going to wait until Friday. I had to pull my belt in a notch. My waist has shrunk so much!!! :D Love it!

I'm playing golf tomorrow & we have a visit from another women's group so will leave a bit earlier so may not have to time to check out any diaries.
Love to all xoxo Cate

Happy 40th for October Cate. Ours will be Dec. 6th

Re: bras and what goes in 'em. One of mine has always been a bit smaller than the other. As I've got older and they have headed south, as t'were, they are really out of sync!

Ooo! Yay for waist shrinkage! I don´t want to know about things heading south Polly, that´s my only concern when losing weight :D

Thank you Polly, & to you too, in advance! [emoji171][emoji322]
You lost me re boobs. Have I talked about bras and/or boobs & forgotten? I don't think I have but if you want to know.....no-one would notice if one of mine was different to the other & I don't mind. I'm maybe a bit weird, but I'm quite happy having small boobs.
Enjoying a red wine & a non fast day. Maybe I might have found something that suits me! [emoji2][emoji106]

Running out of time. Just spoke to R & told him about these vocational colleges & what they're up to. He's going to look at a couple of articles that I put on FB so that when they ring back he'll be able to give a good excuse for declining. Phew!

Hi Cate, this is Mark. Just joined here yesterday and am trying to meet a few people. I think I heard you have had great success here. Congrats for that, you should be proud. Continued success to you and hopefully I'll see you around.

Hi Mark & thank you for visiting my diary & for popping around visiting almost everyone else's. It's lovely having someone new, who is also ready to encourage others. I am proud of what I have achieved, but it took me a long time to feel that pride, rather than shame. We are all so similar & I think building up your self-esteem is probably the most important thing you can do to help you to get you to where you want to be in life & then to stay there. I'll go visit your diary right now, xo Cate

Yesterday- Had a lovely day playing golf. My golf was ordinary (very inconsistent) but then at least with golf the worse you play, the more exercise you get :) I was runner-up in div 2 & got the nearest the pin for the locals. We had a visit from another club, which was lovely. We put on a really good spread for them for afternoon tea, but I only had a couple of gluten-free tuna fritters, that I had taken & 1 GF Cacao ball that a friend took. It was very sweet of her to take them as she made them with me in mind. They were GF, vegan, Paleo....& very nice. Rich though. When she was leaving she told me she had left some in the fridge for me to take home as she had heaps in the freezer at home. I popped them straight into the freezer when I got home. We have a sweets/fruit platter on Sunday nights. I am making some lovely friends via golf really. I am gradually getting through to some of the olds that I am OK really. :) I'm getting much better at standing up for myself.

We have a day at home today, which will be lovely. It's a "fast" day & I have my food mapped out-
Lunch will be a chicken & veg soup(120 cals), dinner will be lean roast chicken & veg (260cals) & I will most probably have a boiled egg mid afternoon (OR NOW!) but I will try to wait until after 12 to eat anything at all. I know I will not be having any lo-cal soft drink today! The day after golf I am always really hungry. Golf burns up about 1400 cals, especially the way I play. Mind you I have brought my handicap down to go into div 1 now, but they put me into div 2 yesterday to even up the numbers. :)

Better go or this will be an epic!

Hi Jess, & thank you for the good wishes for the scales :D -down another .5kg. We are going away on the 10th of Oct for 2 weeks. We'll be going to Albury which is on the border between New South Wales & Victoria, on mainland Australia. I come from up that way originally & am not particularly excited about going there, but it will be fun as we will be at the 8-ball Nationals & there will be lots of friends there. It's a big friendly community. I am going to catch up with an old school friend & some of my Mum's old friends. We'll also do day trips, visit some wineries etc. It should be fun.

Hi Cec, I'm not under the weather at the moment & am feeling really good. Somewhere in the epic that is my diary I have been up & down on many occasions. Currently all good. It's lovely having newbies & I look forward to you starting a diary, so I can catch up with your story & share your journey. Thanks for the visit & all the best. Cheers, Cate.

Weight- Officially down another .5kg, so have lost 4kgs in 6 weeks & 3kg since I issued the 6kg challenge. If I hadn't lost anything this morning I was going to find it much harder with my next FD. I am still struggling with them. Maybe I'm not drinking enough water on those days. 4kg is not to be sneezed at. I can do this! My waist is shrinking so much I can't believe it.

I'm booked in for that massage today :D

Love to all, xoxo Cate

Another Newbie saying Hi Cate. Thanks for the welcome in my thread. Glad your feeling ok and wishing you the very best with your latest weight loss goals. Thanks for the reminder on Hydration. You sure have one epic diary for the reading here. Look forward to catching up soon. Bit pushed for time to log in my own thoughts. Might do that now.

Again, wishing you all the best.

Yes, it is an epic. I have been typing in my diary for 8 & 1/2 years! Thanks for the return visit nmc.Cheers, Cate

Had the massage & it was great. I do feel that I have been run over by a Mack truck however. It has been YEARS since I last had one. I nearly went through the roof when she did my calf muscles. I knew they were tight, but.....I'm still in my PJ's as I decided to stay at home & I am going to soak in a salt bath. Tomorrow we are going to Hobart to see R. He's having live music in his backyard & a bbq & we'll stay one night. I haven't heard back from him re the job, but I'm sure he won't be taking it if it's offered.

I am knackered. Time to squander some time on FB. xoxo Cate

Thanks sweets. I hope you are having a relaxing day too [emoji171][emoji485][emoji106]

Cate, I'm a newbie here, but I must say, you inspire with your commitment.....not just to weight loss, but to encouraging everybody else. Thank you.

Just got back home from a very tiring, but pleasant night away in Hobart at our son's. I am pretty well knackered, but it was good- live music, lots of bubbly, time with R & his delightful, supportive friends, good food. I decided not to fast today & will tomorrow instead (& Thursday).
It may just be time for a nap as we have a boring golf club committee meeting tonight....zzzzz

:) Sounds good... A bit of flexibility on the fasting system must be a good thing, no need to get obsessive about things after all!
