Cate's Diary

Thanks Mystic, LaMa, BB & KP. I'm feeling back to normal again (whatever that is.)
Back to the start again. 6kg to go :)
I'm in a bit of a funny mood today & have some organising to do for our trip away to the 8-ball nationals in Oct. G didn't make the team this year but put his hand up to manage the open team (only) & somehow they're trying to wangle him into managing another team. This can't happen as it's not a team you would ever want to manage(bit like herding cats). We may have to make our own arrangements I think. Lots of homework required & I don't much have the energy right now. If we book elsewhere & then he gets called up to the Masters team it would be all messed up.

I had better go have a look now.
Cheers, Cate

Oh I am so very allergic to those kinds of air fresheners. I get the most horrible headaches! And it is true that floral scented poo is still poo!

Glad you are feeling better and having an easier time thinking about what you are eating. That is really such a skill that I am working on developing!

Good for you limiting the eightball-workload! It´s nice to be able to help but your own needs have to count for soemthing as well.
Random hugs from Vienna :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Hi JadeLynn & thank you. I'm feeling good today & about to head to the market.

Thanks Mystic- loved those hugs! I firmly, but politely stood up for us. Hopefully they won't nag & try talking us into doing something we do not want to do. I can say no, but G is not very good at it.

I'm heading off to the market today & visiting Mum. The 2 younger GK's are arriving this arvo & will be staying the night. Their Dad & his GF are going out to a fancy dress party & their Mum got narky about being asked to have them tonight ("I have a life too"). I'm happy to have them, but it means not going out with G to his 8-ball final tonight. He's fine with it so that's OK. The GK's will be here in the morning & we'll take them home after lunch tomorrow, which will give his Mum a bit extra time to "have a life." She has a live in BF now. I hope it works out for her, as it will provide some more stability for the GK's.

I didn't weigh this morning, but feel lighter(which doesn't mean anything much). I am going to forgo my wine today! I can do this!
xoxo Cate

Hope the finals went well! Exes (m/f) can be pretty nasty when kids are involved, never really understood why you would have to take revenge for the end of a relationship. But then again: I don´t have kids so I can just turn my back and ignore people so I guess I have it easy.
You can totally do without wine for a bit, show that scale who´s boss!

I have had a lovely day! The littlies are sound asleep, G is out at 8-ball, the TV is off & I'm reading a book. I gave the kids GF cake, maple syrup & soy icecream after their dinner & then some dark chocolate & I had 2 squares only & nothing else, except for an apple. NO wine today! what? No wine!! Lol, I need to take a page outta your book and lay off the wine also. I would probably benefit in more ways then weight loss.

Glad you had a nice day Cate! I think that when the day is pleasant, it is so much easier to be in the right frame of mind to eat healthy!

I took your quotum of wine last night - and felt positively drunk on one glass! Ways to save money through weightloss...

Nice work on skipping the wine. Two squares of dark chocolates with all of those sweets being eaten is some great willpower too. Go you!

I don't feel down at all. I'm starting to doubt my ability to lose weight any more. It feels like I would have to almost starve myself!
Hoping for some sort of miracle!!

Don´t worry honey, you said you felt lighter yesterday didn´t you? You can do this, and do it thoroughly well! Apart from that: not doing the things you need to do to lose the kilos that bother you will only lead to more cumbersome kilos. Keep up the good work and the scale will go down :grouphug:

Thanks LaMa, but I'm seriously doubting that I can do it. I felt lighter, yet had re-gained that kilo! I just can't work it out.
On a better note...
When we woke this morning it was a Winter wonderland- SNOW! Lots of it! We were snowed in. It had not happened here before. It was absolutely beautiful!

I'm currently standing at my bus stop and sweating, and now am sooooo envious of your winter wonderland! I'm glad you appreciate its beauty, too many people just get angry when nature inconveniences them.

Its 165f in Iran...you have to see the silver lining eh? Our summer so far has not been very summery. As for your doubts that you can lose weight, you've done it before you can do it again. I always find it difficult to lose weight in the winter.

Don´t let the winter weather get to you Cate, you can and will lose that weight. Starving yourself is certainly not going to do any good.

The winter weather sounds awfully attractive to me as I sit here under a fan. It's dreadfully humid and only 7.30am

Thanks gals. I do see the good in others, I am a naturally optimistic person, but I honestly am starting to doubt my ability to lose weight. It is frustrating & also very surprising. I'm not used to this way of thinking. I think I'll make a doctor's appointment & maybe go see a nutritionist again. I won't give up. Love your support! [emoji171] xoC
