Cate's Diary

What I wouldn't give for 30* right now!! Though, thankfully we have had a supper mild winter so I really should not complain. I forced myself to not be able to have a lazy day this weekend thanks to taking 2 days off working out and riding during the week. Gotta make up for it now!

I chatted with R on FB yesterday. I have had chat turned off as I have not felt like communicating much lately & decided to be brave. During the chat he said he was getting out of the lease because it's a bad fit & is too hard to get permission from the city council. I was so relieved that I had a little cry. I know that he will still look around for something else, but I hope that he gets some money behind him first & is more careful with what he chooses. It is such a weight off my shoulders.

We went outside in the hot sun & cut wood for an hour or so as a bit of stress relief I think & then did some paperwork for the golf club, that had needed doing for ages. It took a few more hours! When G had taken over the Captain's job years ago it was a mess & the book was really out of date. We have re-done the entire book, with detailed instructions on how all comp's are run etc, printed it up & put it into a loose-leaf folder. Anyone could follow it.
We had a good day. Had my Sunday night treats & kept under 1500 cals for the day. Cheers, Cate.

Had a funny old day yesterday. G worked & I felt a little lost & bored. It felt weird. I got some housework done (forced myself). I met him in town as he's getting his car serviced & then we went to the golf club, me to do the bar, him to run a comp. I took a really healthy salad & a small tub of yoghurt. :Angel_anim: & then had a Mars Bar :reddevil: :( I'm not sure what's going on there.
This morning I have woken up really tired & feel pretty ordinary. There is too much on this week!
Time to go soon. Vet's golf today (I do the bar) & then a trip to Launceston to sign some legal docs re my MIL's will.
zzzzz xoxo Cate

You and your mars bars haha. You make me crave one every time!! Maybe this weekend.
Glad your son has rethought the cafe thing! Must be a load off your shoulders!

I am not eating another one!!! It is a huge relief Mystic@

Played golf today in the heat on our "ladies" opening day & my partner & I won 2nd Div with a net 61. God, it was hot! I drank 4 water bottles. Had a ball! Out to 8-ball soon. Loved the golf!

I'm loving the happiness I feel here right now. Doing well in competition is so satisfying. I can't even remember what it's like to be hot with this winter we're having...stay hydrated!!

Thanks Oaks. I am feeling so much better. As much as we all like to think that winning is not such a big thing, it is a real thrill to win. I drank so much water yesterday & continued drinking copious amounts of water last night.....along with the red wine :blush5: I sort of celebrated...We also won the 8-ball & are now in the Grand Final next Wednesday. I was still way under my calories, because of golf. It really is a calorie burner!

We think we'll go out & play another 9 holes of golf this afternoon, as the chicken run is on & we need to borrow buggies for Sunday, when we are having a group of 32 golfers down from Queensland. We are doing them a bbq & morning tea, the bar etc. I worked out we will be at the golf club 10 days in a row. That is too much.

Congrats on winning all the things! Ten days in a row IS a lot, but will that make it easier to say "no" next time? Hope you´ll have a lovely time with all those visiting golfers.

Ha ha. Wednesday was the 1st thing I had won at golf for quite a while. I did, however, win a chicken last night, with the best score of 21 Stableford points for my 9 holes, with a miss on the last. (Vee is prob. the only one who understands what that means). We ended up having to run the comp last night as the couple who do, had to duck home to get something, had a missed call & then he found his father collapsed on the floor. They followed the ambulance in. We didn't get home until 9.30. His Dad is OK apparently, but has a very high temp & some sort of bug. He's a lovely guy. It was a bit of luck that we went out & I'm glad we managed to play our 9 holes first.
It is so good to be feeling good again!
Today is day 5 of my 10 days in a row of going to the golf club. We're having D & the 3 GK's up for dinner tonight, which will be lovely.
Much love to all, xoxo Cate

Cate: pillar of the community in the original sense, holding the structure in place. Not always a fun thing to be, but very necessary.

I know that there has to be rules in this world, or we would have total chaos & anarchy, & that is not quite as good as it sounds.......but, seriously, surely you should be able to rep someone when you really want to! I've said it before & I'll say it once again. I am just not that sort of a woman. I will not "spread it around!" Thank you LaMa. You are a real sweetie, xoxo Cate.
PS Had another really good day today xo

We were at the golf club ALL day yesterday (from 8am to 6pm), me doing the bar all day (washed all the glasses etc & had a major clean-up,) G helping out with the running of the comp & I am very tired today. We're about to head out yet again for what should be a much shorter day (it had better be!) Oh boy am I tired!G gets to play today at least. I'm taking a book & am going to find time to just sit.

Well, if that isn´t an occasion to mention you don´t want to be putting in quite so many hours I don´t know what is. Hope today is less exhausting and you can enjoy your book (books are important!)
