Hi Vee, It is a big relief to get my BP down, but now my LH's is up. It's a good thing having a monitor. It wasn't expensive & it works well. I have not added any salt to anything on my plate since I last spoke to the Cardio.I have got used to it already.
Emma- I know, I know...8, going on 18. She is a little sweetie & loves her Nan, but she is starting to sound a little bit too much like her Mum already. I have to take a deep breath sometimes & remind myself she is just a little kid.
Hi Mrs W! How are you going? What a wild & not so wonderful evening last night was. There was flooding in much of the north of Tas & a mini tornado in Burnie. Where we live was sheltered from it, but we saw some of the evidence of it last night on the drive to Devonport. There were branches down over the road, a tree in another place, almost on the highway, an overturned truck trailer & still rainy &very windy! What was it like where you are?
My husband's 8-ball team was one short last night & he roped me in to play. It's in A-Grade & if I hadn't played we would have had to forfeit 3 games. I surprised myself by playing quite well. I didn't win any, but I gave them a run for their money & we won 10/5. I really enjoyed playing & the night went much more quickly than if I just watched, or indeed stayed at home on my own. I got lots of comments about my playing, both from our team & the other team, but also from some of the other players there, who had never seen me play & were obviously surprised. It was fun. I wasn't even self-conscious about my bum! I had on a bright red, fitted long-sleeved top, which I always wear with a black sleeveless vest (sweater) & black fitted straight-legged cords, but took the vest off as it was so hot in the venue. I felt fine about wearing fitted clothes, instead of having my body covered up.
I did, however have some help, with my courage to play- 2 Piccolos of dry bubbly. I still kept under 1350 cals for the day. When the pizza supper came out, so did my little zip-lock bag of raw almonds! We were picked up & driven down & back, which was nice for a change.
Feeling a little lazy today. We're going to Dev again today to give blood & having a Chinese feed beforehand(80km return trip.)
Love to all, xo Cate
