Thanks hun, one of my biggest hurdles is not over-eating or resorting to 'comfort eating' (read shoving food down my throat!) when my LH is away. I don't like staying home on my own over-night. I used this week-end as a chance to really get myself back on track 100% by working out an exercise plan & that's what I started on Monday. It felt like I over-came a big hurdle & I think that may be the first time that I have done it. It's always good to learn a lesson or feel that you passed a test (especially self-imposed ones!) Exercise makes us both feel so much better Kate. So happy for you healing so fast & getting back into it! Wee hoo!! Thanks for visiting sweets, xoxo Cate
Food- I'm not sure if anyone wants to know what I eat on a typical day but Ii will tell you what my favourite breakfast is at the moment-
2 slices gluten-free toast, topped with 99% fat-free mayo, a little home-made rhubarb chutney, 4 asparagus spears & 1/2 an avocado, a little cracked sea salt & cracked black pepper. YUMMY!!!!
Exercise- I went to a Tuesday Tai Chi class yesterday & it was fine, although I think 3 of the 4 women in the class had perfume on & I'm still sneezing! Next week my old class should be back in action! Today I plan on getting back on my bike as warm-up & doing my weights again. This time I'll up the weights to some extra reps. Maybe instead of 10 reps each set I'll do 2 sets of 8. Mon, Wed & then either Fri or Sat will be the days I do my weights. This is what i did year before last & I loved having definition in my arms. It made me feel so much stronger as well. last year most of my weights work was moving big, heavy rocks, so I haven't lost the shape but have lost a little strength over Winter. Doing weights (only 2kg!) really changes how I feel about myself.
The old Helen Reddy song, 'I am woman' always pops into my head when doing them-
'Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to
I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman.'
I'll come back later & report. I often (used to) say I'm going to do so & so & then end up doing something totally different!
I have a few things I have to do so had better get moving & do them. Lots of love, xoxo Cate

these days....im going to read your last posts on here!Hope all is well
I can't imagine you not wanting to run now even if there's rain, hail, thunderstorms or snow! Maybe the old Kate would have preferred to curl up on the sofa & read a book but the new Kate? Pft! She's a runner! You are inspiring so many people to get off their butts Kate. You're a darling. I'm really enjoying having so much energy. It would be more fun to exercise with someone else but even when I don't really feel like it I'm pushing myself. I'm excited about my sister coming! Can't wait! Lots of love to you too sweets, xoxo Cate
