I'm glad we were able to get it out too. I was not happy with G. He should never have walked away from it.wow scary stuff. very glad you were able to get it out!
2 walks! Lovely!
I love Silkies. Ours was such a sweetie. The Silky terriers are so cute. Glad the fire was contained and you are all okay.
I'm petrified of fire, Petal & was very crabby at G for not watching it carefully. I'm so glad that we are home safely tucked up too. Our friends who we were going to be sharing the house with just drove all afternoon & all night, non-stop to get back to catch the last ship back to Tassie before the 2-week hotel quarantine is imposed. We both worried about them during the night until we heard that they made it. They will still have to self-isolate at their home.Gosh Cate my heart was leaping reading about the fire . Scary stuff you get up to over there !
Glad you are walking and dog hunting . And glad you are safely tucked up at home and not off travelling . Enjoy your weekend
It was a workout I would rather do without, Jack.Great story about the fire, Cate. Glad you were able to get it under control, it sounds like a good workout.
The walks are a great thing. Twice a day even better!
Thanks, Cory, Rob, Liza & LaMa. I think I'm doing well mentally with everything & exercise is helping. Tomorrow G & I will get out & do some raking etc for G to set fire to as we no longer need permits. On Sunday we'll go play golf again.
An old friend rang me today to say she is getting a female miniature schnauzer puppy in 8 weeks. She saw me asking friends on FB to keep an eye out for me as I have decided to get a dog. She lives in Vic. We had a great conversation & I have insisted on ALL of the photos! So cute!

I think most people here are getting it now, but it sure has taken them a while.Glad you got a good game in and very happy that everyone is making it easy on everyone to follow the social distancing measures. I find it so much more relaxing now that everyone seems to be onto it and giving everyone plenty of space.
Unhappily, yes. And there's an idea that it's a bit cutely naughty to be doing such things - one friend said "Oh, but you can just nick out for a walk - who would know?"I don't think they are getting it in our major cities...
It´s not stupidity, it´s selfishness. Nobody can claim not to KNOW we ought to stay inside to protect others at this point. We do know a few who are still in denial & I am trying hard not to label them stupid.
I'm petrified of fire...

They should be, fires are dangerous and wildfires can be unpredictable. In my youth I spent a few summers fighting fire for the US Forest Service, learned enough to respect them.Fires are scary to me
I agree some are, but not all. LaMa said "It´s not stupidity, it´s selfishness" and I agree that is some of it. I find some people here just don't believe the threat of getting the virus is that serious, no worse than a bad cold or the flu. They consider all the disruption silly. I really think that is what our president believes. I can kind of understand that thinking, but since we don't really know yet I believe the right thing to do is stick with the cautions. As more testing becomes available and outcomes more predictable we will know more, best not to risk the lives of millions right now. I am distancing and washing my hands, a lot.I think most people here are getting it now, but it sure has taken them a while.
