I don't anymore Cory, now I'm into week 7(?). I actually enjoy the challenge & am proud of myself because I am learning to cope with hunger. I don't have PCOS of course & have no issues with sugar levels. I'm starting to feel really slim [emoji2]

Just looked it up- 24th August I started & have 'fasted' 2 days every week, including this week away. Have had some bad news today, which would have resulted in me either getting drunk or eating something BAD & I won't be doing either, as there is no way known I'm going to mess up my hard work. I won't sharing the news with anyone, including our sons until we're back in Tassie. I'm upset, but mostly angry, but I also have no choice but to get over it.
I'll go rinse my eyes with some eye drops, go to the venue & barrack for the women, mainly so that they don't think that I'm not being supportive of them. G went back already, but I needed to chill out for a while.

Cate what can i say?i m really pleased about your younger son.i m sure how calm that makes you feel,him to be in a better place and understaning himelf better.friends are very important influence so its amazingly good he has greatcaring friends!
Your ex dil should not post such personal things.its her ex husbands child as well and he should have a word with her.even if the child is perfectly ok she has no right to expose him in anyway.no matter how young he is.i get really mad with things like this....

Do you find fast days challenging? I've wanted to try them, but I haven't had a lot of success because I always get really tired/irritable/headachey. I think it's because my PCOS does weird things to my blood sugar and I've found I typically feel best when I eat three meals and an evening snack. I'm guessing it keeps my blood sugar at a more constant level.

I have PCOS too. With blood sugar issues I don't think fasting is the best idea. I'd just try to eat healthy and exercise.
 
Thank you Oaks, Jess, Polly, Tru, BB & K&D. It's nothing to do with anyone's physical health or life shattering. It's to do with my husband's family & a decision made. He's one of 5 & the rest made a decision that is very disappointing. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. There is nothing we can do & I will have to try to put it out of my head as much as I can. I'm very disappointed to say the least. Pissed off is more like it, but I'll make myself get over it for the sake of my own mental well-being.

I managed to complete my fast day, well under 500 cals, but the red wine sure looked tempting!
G is washing dishes, so I'll go dry some. We don't have housekeeping as they are all too smelly(perfumed up) & use stinky stuff.

Oh, Jess. I'm sorry I had you worried. I got a good night's sleep & am better able to cope with the world today. I won't be answering any calls from G's family if they ring, but, other than that I'll be fine. I really am going to tune out to it all & not think about it. I do seem to have that ability when I really concentrate on it. Thank you for being such a sweet friend, xoxo. Love the flowers :D xoxo
 
Ah cate!!!i have trained myself to block out negative feelings concerning negative people.i'm still training its real hard to do but the stress that the bad feelings and thoughts cause is toxic.i have actualy made myself sick like that.whatever has happened im glad you re feeling better and keeping yourself calm.

Iforgot to say that I bought a pair of capris the other day & they were a size smaller & I am having to wear a belt with my other pants as I was constantly hitching them up. :D

I had GF seafood pizza last night, but we had skipped lunch altogether & I still struggled to finish it. I can now recognise & then ignore hunger, without feeling like I'm going to die ;) It's a good thing to have adjusted to.

It's another full-on day of competition today & won't finish until about 11.30pm. One of our state Masters is playing the world champion at 9am & there are matches on all day including the Tassie Open team's, that our son is playing in. Phew!
