Wow! What a day for you. I've always thought that kids do ok w/ f/t working moms, but that the moms suffer b/c there just isn't enough of them to go around. I've only worked f/t for 6 wks. since having kids and my oldest was 4 mos. old. It was awful. It was only 4 days a week and I was just down the street and it was just wrapping up the job and preparing for my replacement since I'd already resigned, but it was awful. I hope that I don't have to do that again until my youngest is in first grade. Even then I'd sure like a 60% contract if possible. I hope today goes better!!

Poppin in hereto tell you be proud of yourself, because you are here there and everywhere, and still you keep your eating and exercise at the fore of your thoughts! That isnt always easy! Keep up the really hard, great work!

Thanks you guys *sniff* you gonna make me cry! Long day, little sleep does that to me

NewLeaf, I have had to start a LIST of everybody's journals that I stop into each day and check off those I get to in the mornin' so that I can TRY to hit everyone! LOL The weekends will be my "journal catch-up" days though :D The kids seem to be better today, but still not "okay" with the whole deal. Its just so much harder with their adhd - you have to keep them on a schedule and any changes need to be reminded every day for atleast three days before they are going to happen. I didn't have that notice this time thats whats causing the "problem". Oh well, gotta do what ya gotta do...

Hey ya MissJ:) It is NUTS here now! I am not home to get all the things done that I was doing and now I have to decide which is most important and which can be let go for the day. If I got help it wouldn't be bad, but nobody can seem to get up off their butts after work/homoeowrk except me  SOME things never change. I really like my new job but my butt is gonna get bigger if I have to keep sittin' on it! LOL I have never had a job that you sit for the whole 8 hours! I have always been on my feet.

Hi MO2 :) It really doesn't bother me to work f/t IF it is while the boys are in school. I worked full time when they were babies and my sister would call me and tell me they said their first word or took their first steps. It sucked really bad and I swore I would NEVER do that again until they were old enough to cut the apron strings. I think the boys DID suffer when I worked f/t as they got stuck with my sister who didn't give them many rules b/c her "raising style" differs so much from mine. They have always been good natured but they tried for a time to walk all over me when they wanted something. Not happenin'!

Thanks Kate :) I don't want to let food/ exercise slip from the front of my mind as I am TERRIFIED of gaining any weight back. I have worked so hard to make what little progress I've made it would certainly suck to fall back now!

Hi HH :) Ummmmm I must confess. I had two tiny chocolate ( less than an ounce total). I was told I "must be familiar with the characteristics of the product we sell" and .... I ATE 'EM!!! OHHHh they were good but too sweet after not having sugary things for so long. Not to mention smelling the sugary -sweet smell for 8 hours a day for the last two days! hehehehe

Well, today went okay, but boy my back hurts from sitting so long  Its a wonder those ladies who have been there for 2 years or so aren't bent over permanently!

rest of food for today:
scrambled eggs
ham - lots of it!
green beans
milk

total calories 1146 for the day

water: 64oz for the day

exercise: BL high int. cardio

okay off to eat dinner. Will try to make it back to read journals later...

Umm hmmm! Likely story! Lol! Don't worry, you are doing great! :D

Sounds great! You are really good at keeping those calories low. I'm impressed! I have a question for you. For the BL video. What is needed other than work-out shoes and space to work out? I'm assuming some small weights, a cardio ball, any bands? I'm really tempted to purchase it to augment my 4 days at the gym which often becomes 2 or 3 days due to my kids' schedules. How much space is needed to do the workout? We have a very small house and both of our tv's are in sort of crowded places. Hmmmm... any insights would be helpful. (Sorry to hit you up when you have so much going on!!)

Just wanted to stop in and say HI! Your soooo good at stopping in my diary and I thank you for that!! I wish I could be as good as you!

What kind of home business do you do???

Looks like your doing great on the dieting hun, keep it up!

MOrnin' y'all :D (Well you can't really tell its morning as I sit here looking at the moon out my window!)

Hi, HH :) Thanks! I have tried to be good but I just did a weight check (really bad thing, I know) and it says I am up 4 pounds! I really think its b/c I have been eating all my calories at night and last nights ham was a water-keeper  Fixin' that today!

MO2, hit me up anytime you want to, I don't mind :D For BL weights are needed for sculpting and optional for the Boot Camp section. You need a mat or beach towel or something else to lay on. I don't have a lot of space myself living in a single wide mobilehome. The two sections I have done haven't needed mass amounts of space - I figure it would be enough if you had a space as wide as you are tall plus one foot or two and about 3 feet deep. You can alter the moves, like I do, if you can't get quite that much (our livingroom is REALLY small and full of furniture). Hope that helps :)

Hi Korrie :) I like stoppin' in at "your place". Keeps me motivated and gives me new ideas, so YOU are doing me a favor :) I do quilting and alterations as a home business and I am secretary for my husband house painting business. I also just started cleaning house and catering. Guess you could say I turned Susie HOmemaker into a business! LOL I've always like doing those things (I only like to clean others' houses - mine ... no).

Well, off to squeeze in everthing I can today - Ill try to be back later :D

Well, back sooner than I thought I would be:rolleyes: No time for exercise this morning as I am JUST sitting down for breakfast and kids have to be up soon and I have to squeeze in a shower.... Huh. maybe I can do laundry after my shower while the boys are getting ready. That will free up time later tonight for a walk after I get the kids' dinner.

I have found a fix for the "too many of my calories at dinner" problem - it just nixes exercise time in the morning (not a bad thing IF I can get in my exercise at night). I am pretty sure thats why my weight check showed a big gain this morning (4 #). I've been eating a huge dinner at 6:30 or so, since I've only had around 500 calories for the day until that point, and I've been in bed by 8:15pm. SOOOO NOT GOOD.

Okay food so far today:

scrambled eggs
ham
skim milk

seafood "salad" sandwich on light wheat - no cheese

total calories so far... 601 hmmmm now that I look at it, it isn't as high as i need it to be...... That number should be around 800 to stay on track. :( I don't get out until 4 so if I grab a snack it still it too late in the day to eat a 200 cal. snack......... not to mention dinner is about 2 hours later. I wish I had time to stop at the store before work to grab an apple or something :( OH well, I need to stop there later for other things so I will grab a fruit for tomorrow and I will try to eat one for snack. That should get me closer to my "ontrack" numbers.:D

okay, off to see y'all :D

Wow, sounds like you keep busy!! I'd love to do that kind of work! Too bad we dont' live closer! :)

I found to advoid eating too much at dinner, I have a big lunch. Dinner for me, is normally 4oz of meat, normally chicken or turkey, and 1/2 plate of veggies. I used to eat a potatoe too, but i've recently cut that out.

anyways, your doing great hun!

G'Morning Cassie! :) Wow, you have quite the schedule to juggle and you still manage to visit all our journals. You just rock!! :) I hope you find time to squeeze in some exercise today, it looks like you are doing really great with all the other things you need to accomplish. ALthough I wish I was so busy I didn't have time to snack! Lol.. all I have now is too much time to think over what I shouldn't eat. ;) You're doing great.. keep it up!! :)

Hey Girlfriend! I'm super busy today, but I wanted to take a moment to say hello and I hope you have a good day today! Thanks for always supporting me. You're the best.

evenin' all :D NewBride, I keep extra busy lately! Normally, I must admit, I take my day real easy and exercise for as long as I can and get all my stuff done at a leisurely pace. For the next two months though I will be bustin' butt as fast as my chubby little self is able to :D My problem with big lunches (my normal method also) is I only get 15 minutes for lunch since I only work 7 1/2 hour days  I don't have a problem with a short lunch break but it doesn't allow me time to enjoy a large lunch. I picked up some cottage cheese that I can eat with my sandwich or salad to add a bunch of calories but still be rather healthy about it. That gets me closer to being on "schedule" with my calories for the day.

NewLeaf, unfortunately I just didn't have it in me to exercise tonight :( Hubby wasn't home to watch the boys so I could walk and in order to use my dvd I had to clean the livingroom of all the band equipment. I did NOT have THAT much ambition! LOL I like being busy, but mentally I just can't wait for the weekend for a break. I burn out mentally with so much to do - I always have I wish I new why! Mama says my "creative brain can't handle all the bombardment of my busy life. THe creative type need mental space and (I) don't give it to (myself)" Okay Dr. Frued! LOL

MissJ, glad you were able to take the time to stop in :D I understand the busy thing. Stop in when you are able :)

Today was a good day, but man am I back-sore! OH! Guess what?!?! I noticed two things today. 1) A shirt I used to stretch to the max in the arms and waist area fits SOOO much better! I haven't worn it too much lately since I was maxing it so badly that it tended to be rather short in the waist. It now goes to mid-thigh and I HAVE A WAIST and don't stretch the arms as badly!!!! Yay!!!! It actually looks good on me now! Love it! 2) These pants I am wearing I thought were 16 womens - they are 16 ladies/ misses!!!! They are stretch denim BUT THEY FIT!!! hehehehe Woo-hoo! I can't fit into my misses 16's that aren't stretch but I will soon I hope :D I have 4 pairs of new jeans when that happens!!! Yay!

okay, rest of Toadies food for today...

chicken
cottage cheese
coleslaw (low fat)
skim milk

total calories for today 1061

water for today:50 somethin' ounces -grrrrr!

exercise for today: none - not enough ambition *sigh*

time to run. I need to get lunches for tomorrow done and laundry before getting the kids of to beddie bye!

hey there cassie

just poppin in to check on you. looks GOOD on the food! I wish I liked cottage cheese. My sugarholic H actually DOES like it! Yukky to me.

Im the creative type too, but havent been too creative lately. I am the type that gets OVEWHELMED if there is a lot to do, and only so much time to do it. Im thankful I get help from all my kids, because if we make a game out of it, a lot gets done around here. In fact, its time for another "GI Party" pretty soon, with spring coming soon and all. Cobwebs and dust bunnies...ugh.

congratulations on the pants fitting!! Aint it great!:D

Just stopping by to check on you! As you know, I am trying to catch up to you! ;)

Great job on the clothes fitting better! Keep it up! :D

Thanks for the advice on the BL dvd!! I hope you're making it through your work week - you're on the downhill to the weekend!

Mornin' all :) Kate, I LOVE cottage cheese! If its cheese of any sort I'll eat it - if its not required to mold first (i would rather not tempt my penicillan allergy). Cottage cheese helps me keep my protein up the easy way :) Sometimes I DO get overwhelmed with all that needs doing. I wish these guys helped out more but I can never seem to get them up off the couch. I like the "I work/ go to school all day" excuse. Even when I WAS staying home, just because I work from home doesn't mean I dont do ANYTHING! GRRR! Big pet peeve of mine, can ya tell?!

HH, if I don't get this fanny in gear you'll catch me in not time! I do plan to use the weekend as a "last chance workout" kind of weekend since we won't have the boys and I don't work - heres hoping its enough to get the scale going in the right direction again.

MO2, I have been keeping an eye on the weekend, believe me! I am SO ready for a "break". I mean, there is still tons to do, but I have 8 more hours of the day to do things for those two days. :D

Well, I needed a long-sleeve shirt for work today (they keep it kind of chilly to keep the chocolates happy) and didn't find one of MINE...... but I did find one of the boys' 10/12 shirts that I just HAD to try. IT FIT! well, if boys had chests it would fit much better, but it fit! I have no idea what size that is in womens  LOL Because they have no chest it kind of pulls at the arms, but I wear a smock all day so who cares. Maybe this way i won't get goose-pinkles when I eat lunch  I am SUCH a wimp! here it is 9 degrees (at 6 am anyway) with a high of around 25 and I get chilled INSIDE! Only someone as "special" as me, I swear! ( I just hope it still fits after lunch!)

So, hubby was really sweet (even if he didn't know it). He went to Costco to get a few things and came back with a huge box of cereal. It wasn't even his normal Frosted flakes or raisin bran... it was Kashi Go Lean Crunch! SO I can eat it too! I know he didn't even think about it as that just isn't his way, but he got it all the same :) Boy, that stuff burns calories just CHEWING it! LOL Holy moly! He doesn't seem to like it much but I don't mind it. Guess it'll take him longer to get through his giant bowl of cereal won't it? LOL

okay, food for today....

kashi cereal
skim milk

honey- chicken salad sandwich
cottage cheese
cukes in vinegar

total calories so far: 841 - exactly where it needs to be for after lunch :D I only hope I have time to eat it all.....

water so far: none, but soon to start. I just have to finish chonkin' on my cereal! LOL

k- gotta run. I fell asleep too early last night and didn't get lunches packed:rolleyes: ugh! Crunch time begins!

Good morning Cassie! :) Congrats on the smaller shirt fitting!! :D Even if it was your boys!! And hey.. I'm cold like.. 80% of the time in the winter, indoors, (hence my personal heater going underneath my desk right now!!) so you're not alone. lol!!

Ooh that is sweet of your hubby! Even if he was clueless as to what he was doing. ;) Have a good one!!

Hey Bize. Sounds like you are crazy busy! That was nice of your husband to bring you home the cereal you can eat. Nice to have that kind of support at home!

I have absolutely no idea what a boys size 10/12 translates to in womens. My son wears that size (actually its a bit big on him still - he needs a good growth spurt yet - but he insists cause he likes big shirts). Maybe a women's small/medium? Surely not much bigger than that.

My son's boy scout den visited a chocolate making place this past weekend for a field trip. My youngest went hoping it was going to be like Wonka's factory. Alas, not one Oompa Loompa to be found. She was a bit disappointed I think (we all tried to warn her - but to no avail - stubborn little thing). The kids both raved about the chocolate though! Said it was fantastic. They both mentioned how cool it was in there too. Guess it keeps the chocolate from melting?

Hope you get some rest this weekend. Hang in there -- the weekend is almost here! :)
