Cardio Training seems to cause confusion to allot of people . So I thought I would write a few words .... IMO
What is cardio ??
Cardio Training is anything that elevates your heart rate and respiration rate . So you must realise everything you do is cardio.(Training Wise ,Sitting on the couch doesnt count lol)
People also tend to associate cardio training with "Cardio Machines"
Yes cardio can be done on these machines , but even when your not on a typical piece of cardio equipment , you are still performing cardio. The same goes for running,biking,swimming,etc. These are all ways to carry out cardio Training. But in my Opinion they are not the most effective way when it comes to fat loss and fast results . (Only my opinion)
LSD (Long Distance Cardio)
Is often used and overused by people looking for fat loss. Im not against LSD as I used to be an endurance athlete myself , Im just not all for people over doing it. If your goal is fat loss then remember the more of this type of "Cardio" you perform the more efficient you become ,and the less energy you expend.(But you do become fit)
My opinion on where LSD fits in for some one who number one goal is fat loss. .
Keep it SLOW SLOW SLOW And have enough free time to do it
Keep it seperate from your other training
Never use it as a way to FINISH OFF any HITT /HIT
dont train to become an Endurance athlete. .....
