Cannon's Journal

I have been living a lie

Some of you may have noticed that my ticker hasn't changed in a very long time--since Mother's Day in fact. I haven't had the heart to raise it, but my weight has fluctuated usually between 385 and 391 for the last 3 months. The absolute highest it got was 398 after my last vaccation, but I'm sure that a lot was sodium as it melted off very quickly. This morning I got up and I weighed in at 383.8. My ticker is finally correct again.

My stomach has had some issues, but it seems better today which is good because I am going out tonight. Last week I did an excellent job of eating when I was out and I hope to do the same this week. I started out a bit rough on the breakfast because since my kitchen is still trashed and I was out of easy to eat protein I ran across the block for an omelette. I ate it as well as hash browns and toast with butter. My usual 200-250 calorie breakfast was undoubtebly 650+ calories. I'm about to eat my post workout snack now so add another 250 calories. I hope to get by on a very light lunch of a few oranges at 12:30 and then hold off on eating real food until tonight. The workout went well. I have been sore from the new program she gave me in my triceps and in my pecs. Its been an interesting soreness, not debilitating or anything and it didn't show up right away. I don't mind this level of discomfort. Its really mild and lets me know what I'm doing is having an effect.

Just thought I would kick your butt for the hash browns because if you didn’t have them for breakfast you could have had something with a bit more substance for lunch. Im glad the workouts are going well are you enjoying it? Im glad your tummy is starting to feel better. Maybe you have a 48 hour tummy bug. Have a wonderful time out tonight love.

I did wind up having a chicken sandwich instead of the oranges for lunch because I wanted a bit more substance. It was a 330 calorie sandwich so it wasn't killer. When I met up at one of my friends' homes his wife had made spring rolls. I had one--we're talking vegetables in a vegetable wrapping. Not the tastiest thing in the world, but exactly what I need to be eating more of so I had one--very negligible calories. We ordered Chinese later so I got chicken noodle soup and had 2 egg rolls. Not great, but much better than what I'd usually get so I was happy. I am up to 387 this morning, but that is the result of drinking 4 diet cokes. Its amazing how it happens every time I have diet coke, but I also know that it goes away quickly too. I need to shop for healthy groceries this afternoon.

You gotta love the weight flexuation dontcha...Im sorry Cannon I will catch up more later - Im in stress ville over here and once I get to mom and dads I will have some down time...

"I have been living a lie"--you scared me there, Joe!

It's ok to not be at your day to day weight with the ticker. I HAD noticed it stayed there at 383 for a while--and funny, I had also gained weight in the last 3 months. I'm really glad the gym is helping to keep you at 383 and I
think you're going to experience another drop really soon! :)

Yeah, I just felt like being overly dramatic--sorry to worry you Val. I weighed in even a few tenths of a pound higher today and I was really good yesterday. I figure I'll sweat out a lot of that salt today. I want to see 382 by Saturday darn it :)

Howdy Cannon,
I am sure you will see 382 by Saturday
if not sooner!Congrats on your chicken sandwhich not being loaded with cals, grease and fat, everytime I reach for a chicken sandwhich it usually comes from WENDYS and the breaded deepfried kind blah!
Keep up the gr8 work Tammy

Embarrassing Gym Story - I forgot my cardio

I just got done with my trainer. Grr, today was tough and we had to do some schedule adjusting. She has a family commitment this week and I have a trip next week. Now, we always discussing things after I work out with her and then I go and do 15 minutes on the stairmaster doing increments with very high inclines. I actually forgot to do my cardio today. There are all sorts of ways I can get it in. That's not the issue. I just can't believe how absent minded I am sometimes.

This week's going good. I have to go to a week of seminars and I'm not happy about it, but I just try and remind myself I'm getting paid.

Well I mean who cares if you dont have the heart to change your ticker - one always hopes or assumes it isnt perminate and you need to remeber Joe that the important thing is that you are here daily or regularly and you amke that effort everyday to have a good on track day...I dont pay to much attention to the tickers...

As far as eatign out - you can eat out and eat well and be good - I do it alot actually - alot more than I would liekt o admitt - Ive even beign having wquite a few drinks and I havent managed to screw anyhting up yet...

Shit happens - sometimes we forget to do things - even simple things that are routine and make us feel silly...at least you went to the gym , met with your trainer and did everything you did before...right:)
