Cannon's Journal

I miss having 2 tickers. I never want to lose my big one which reminds me where I came from, but I want a small one that shows where I'm going. 350 by September has been my goal for awhile and it is starting to seem far more reasonable.

You've been doing great so far - you will do it my friend and you have all o fus here chering ya along and suppoting ya :) !!!

Good morning everybody! Happy Saturday! I slept for 10 hours and it was wonderful. I had the strangest dream where I was an Evil Overlord's minion. Nothing better than being middle management in a Bond type movie. Now I'm off to find a mother's day present, walk, and shop for groceries.

Hahaha what a cool dream! I had a dream last night where I was baking cakes and they were soooo gooood I could taste them! Can't believe I'm having cravings in my sleep lol!

Thanks for your support in my diary about my exams. My first is less than 2 days away now  though I'm feeling FAIRLY confident right now, this time tomorrow I will probably be panicking!

I like your big ticker, if you can only have one I would definately keep that. So you can NEVER forget, even for a minute, how far you have come already, and how great you have done! :)

Phew funny thing happenned on the way to the breast cancer walk, I forgot to sign up. I made it today and paid my $30 with minutes to spare. We should have quite a crowd. Last year they had 4,000 and this year looks bigger. I may be a bit high on calories this week, but the walk should help a little. Happy Mother's Day one and all. I will be hitting diaries sometime tomorrow.

Hi Cannon. Enjoy your walk for a great cause. I like your new avatar and think this is a smart way to view things. Though I have to tell you, I did like the other one.........great show and one I did not miss when it was on TV. Wish they did re-runs on this one!

The new avatar is great Cannon. It really is fantastic the way you have recovered from the blip. What an amazing amount of weight you have dropped so far. Congratulations. :)

I just finished the breast cancer walk!! There were about 5,000 people there and we did the 3.2 miles in about an hour. About half the way I was pushing a stroller as my friend Sue had her 8 month old. There were about a dozen from our school and I was really happy I did it. I believe this event raised over $300,000 to fight breast cancer and it was a great goal for me to train for while walking. The tough part is I had to be up by 6:15 and I didn't get in until 1 last night. I will be hitting diaries after mother's day festitivities today. Thanks to everybody on here for their support on my walk. Happy Mother's Day one and all.

Man, making it through the end of the year feels like taking a pliers and pulling out my own teeth. I just want it over with. I'm up about 2.5 pounds after the weekend and mother's day. I'm not sure how much of that is a combo of salt and diet soda. I wish I wasn't up, but I do know that I can take it off again fairly quickly just by doing what I know I'm supposed to be doing.

Hi, Cannon. My wife can't wait for the end of the school year, too. She's had a rough year with the "Every Child Left Behind" testing, because 50% of her kids are first time English language learners, on top of being pretty poor.

sorry about the 2.5 pounds, but like you say, you'll take it right back off.

Congratulations on the walk Cannon. That's a great speed isn't it? I'm sorry about the pounds but they are fickle players - you doing what you know will work is what really counts.

(And thanks for the Breast Cancer thing too - an issue for me personally, and a personal thanks. :))

Hey you way to go on thewalk - you sound pumped up and that is great to hear - I am up slightly but it is from beer adn sushi...hee hee hee...I actually drank beer this weekend odd for me but hey I enjoyed it...

Im so glad you did the walk - it is for such an excellent cause adn you pushed a stroller a fair amount that is added muscel and work out :):):)

Oh and thanx so much for the your kind words in my diary...your a very sweet man with a great heart...ya made my day :):):)*HUGS*

Congrats on the walk, Cannon. My vote on the weight increase is water weight....I faced the same thing this morning....yuck. Here's to better numbers tomorrow! :)

Bravo on the charity walk!! :)

29 days and counting for me....when's your last day of school? I don't usually start counting until June but this group of 5th graders I am very much looking forward to booting out the door!

Keep on truckin---you're doing great! You're getting close to the 100 pounds lost mark, doesn't it feel great!! :) :)

(I think I'm a little smiley happy at the moment) :)

Thanks, I believe this walk is going to actually pay for a new mamography machine for the local hospital. I'd love to say that I did the walk for all the most altruistic reasons, but as much as I wanted to do something helpful, I also used it as something to train for. My chiropractor saw me walking past his house and when I saw him today he couldn't rave enough about how well I was doing. Thanks for all the support everybody. Today wasn't a terrific day foodwise so tomorrow I'm going to have to kick it up a notch.

May 24th is the last day for the kids here...

how about you?

i can almost taste the last day of school!! :D

i am so proud of you and all your walking!!!

The last day here is June 17th. I feel really sorry for the teachers who will be returning there. They report for meetings June 26th.
