Cannon's Journal

Hello cannon, just wanted to stop by and wish a Happy easter :D

I think it is awesome you're going to walk for breast cancer. I admire that and i believe you can do it :D

Have a great day!

Crisis

My IPOD has been lost. I think it fell out of my pocket after my walk yesterday. I had to walk without tunes today so tomorrow I'm buying a new one :(. Doh.

Still bummed about replacing the IPod. I'm going to do it right after school today. Also bummed about going back to work. Oh well, I'll survive. I did have a great Easter. I hope everybody else has a great week too.

I love your av - thanx for droppin by when I was mia - and have you come to any decisions ??? I will have to read back and see ...

Not sure which IPOD you had, but I have the Shuffle (2nd gneration) and it holds 240 songs and clips on to your clothes...its very lightweight and cool...and costs $79. I love mine!

Mine was a nano, that's probably what I'll replace it with. I hate to spend the money, but I know it makes the walk shorter. Sometimes I just like to walk when its quiet and listen to my own thoughts, but othertimes I want to listen to the music and veg out and forget about what I'm doing exactly.

Eventually I may replace my Avatar, but when I joined the forum very few people had their own picture so I became Cannon. I may change at some point.

I gained 3 pounds this weekend, but I figure when I get rid of the salt and excess water it won't be too bad. Saturday I was a bit bad and my favorite candy in the world is Cadburry pastel eggs. I helped myself liberally yesterday, but those were the only ones I've had this year. I was proud of myself for walking yesterday when it was cold, it was Easter, and I didn't have an Ipod.

Eeek! Thats horrible :O
I cant live without my ipod, insureance wont cover it i take it? or to small to bother with it?

Well I just got back from my walk with my new Ipod and I added on my 3 extra blocks. I went a total of 14 blocks in about 35 minutes. I really feel a bit silly about neglecting this as I know I burn about 350 calories walking that far at that pace. Not only that I kick up my metabolism. Remember my goal was to hit that 210 pound goal by my 40th birthday. I think that may be unreasonable because I did that math and I'd actually have to lose those last few pounds at a faster rate than I lost my first few pounds--Oh well. I find myself not too disapointed. This is a journey and even if I lose 2 pounds a month, at this time next year I'd still be so much better off than I was last year. I am excited just thinking about how much better I'll look and feel when I lose another 10, 20, or 30 pounds.

Look around me, I can see my life before me
Running rings around the way it used to be
I am older now, I have more than what I wanted
But I wish that I had started long before I did

By the way, I did take the job. I called today and accepted the offer. No more money, but this summer is going to be the summer of me. I don't think its a coincidence I lost so much weight in the week I was off school.

Oh Cannon,
Lots of catching up here - new ipod? Sorry about the old one, but which one did you replace it with? And good news about the job!

I'm glad for the new job, but I hate leaving my friends behind. 2 in particular are going to really hurt. I go a nano just like the one I lost. I plugged it into Itunes and loaded all the songs I had on the old one right on there and off I went.

glad it was that easy to get your tunes back! :D

and thanks a million for all the job support you have given me!

i am hoping to be accepting my new position soon, too!

M2M - I just switched schools to avoid the crazy multi-track schedule they're going to put my current school through.

No problem Daisee! All us teachers have to stick together
