Knowing you cannon, I bet you've haven't gone off that damn wagon. So you had a nice dinner, you also managed to restrain yourself all day, so it is a victory. Hope you have a nice day.
 
The key is continuous progress. I mean, odds are you wouldnt have thought twice about candy and junk before, now its something you are aware of, and in 2 months, you'll be even better.
 
I will accept a bad day this week and move on.

Absolutely!! Good for you for recognizing how far you've come and that one day of eating off the wagon is going to hurt.

We're in this for the long haul!
 
Sometimes its hard to be patient. I really thought I might have a shot at hitting that 10% mark this week, but now it probably won't happen. Oh well, I am sure I can reach it next week. I do want a nice 2 or 3 pound loss this week though if possible.
 
Remember Cannon, it's a long road - just keep doing what you're doing, and you WILL get there :)
 
Well I am down two. I could have been down more, but as everybody says I'm in it for the long haul. As I look at my short term goal of getting down to 400 by my birthday it does look doable. If I can maintain 2 pounds a week I come up with 30 pounds total and my goal is 34. It'll be tough, but it is in sight. Of course I know that I weigh with my shoes on and my scale weight consistent, but heavy. If I am a few pounds over I'm gonna start weighing nekkid :)
 
Cannon- hang in there man. 2 pounds is a lot of weight, seriously. Keep going. Heres something I did after I had lost abotu 40 pound: I went to the grocery and lifted a 40 pound bag of salt. Just feel how much you have dropped. Its amazing! Your body says thank you.
 
Hey you!! Congratulations on those 2 pounds! You'd better get up and do the happy dance with me! That's fantastic! No ifs, ands or but(t)s about it! :D :p
 
Yippee 2 more pounds lost! I have to tell you I agree with what Pink Dolly said. I have a rare day when I go "overboard", but in the end it does help me if I've been cutting my cals too low for the week. I think you showed awesome restraint with the candy bars!!! Give yourself credit for that!! When going out for dinner at someone else's house, I cut myself some slack, and you should too!!! You've come a long way, and you are losing weight!!
 
Hello, first thanks to everybody for the support. Just to explain a bit. I really wasn't disapointed with myself for last week as much as the scale. I lost 2 pounds which is great, but when I weight myself this morning I came in 4.6 pounds lighter than yesterday. I figured I just hadn't flushed everything out of my system because if anything I had more calories than average on Friday. Oh well, I sure have a great head start on next weigh in :).
 
cannon I have those sudden losses and they are nice to have. I have no idea where they come from. I'd like to find out to get them a little more often.
 
Hey, I don't think it was a surprise loss so much as a salt gain. I was down about 4 most of last week and went up 2 right before Friday weigh in. I hope to be down at least 4 this week, but I'm in it for the long haul regardless :). I finally get some time to check out other journals this afternoon. I have you all penciled in for 4:00 to 5:00. Right before I make dinner :)
 
It was so tempting to just go back to bed today. Man, I really dislike my homeroom. The other classes are fine, but my homeroom is a collection of whiney brats. Anyway, I'm up and ready for work. I have to go to the chiropractor after work today and then I'll be working on grad school stuff, but the extra sleep does help a lot.
