Cannon's Journal

I agree, 40 pounds is definitely a better goal. You don't want to set yourself too high, it's not fair on yourself.

Well done with the halfway challenge though. I'll keep rooting for ya, and your cool banners!

Just think...by December you could be 44lbs lighter and two pants smaller, you will be fitter and healthier...if thats not motivation i dont know what is!! Keep up the great work and hope you had a good day!!

However much you weigh at that time you will be a success because you are doing great! Just do the best you can and let it come off at it's own pace. You can't do anything but keep losing if you keep doing what you are doing.

Don't sweat it.

Heya!

Just a note to say, I asked my nutritionist and she said that a serving is 2 slices or squares of pizza. If it's got meat only one. And this assuming is your "cheat" day..

If you feel you had too much for lunch for instance, you can replace your evening meal with salad. No dressing. Merely to balance it out.:)

I don't count calories in my diet. It works through assuming balance

Actually, I had a bad lunch. I had pizza again and this time it was out and I would guess I had about 10 pieces of sausage. There is a big difference between a slice and a piece, but I would guess I had what would ammount to 4 servings. I had a 270 calorie lean cuisine for dinner and a 140 calorie ice cream sandwich. Not a great day, but like I told AG--I had a bad day and it's time to put it behind me and make tomorrow better. One thing at all the ballparks is we try a hot dog and also the signature food--We were happy to learn that Detroit's signature is Little Caesar's pizza. I can pass on that. Toronto is a Candian Bacon and cheese sandwich. I'll have to walk a lot that day. I don't know if I'll get to check this in the morning, so good luck to you all until Sunday. I can't wait to come back and see all this tickers further to the right then a family values conference in Texas.

hey cannon don't beat yourself up too bad. Pizza has a strong calling and its just hard to resist. consider it a bad day and move on. you'll be fine. no worries.

Hey Cannon, sorry it wasn't a great day, but like you said, just move on.

It does sound like food-wise it's going to be a difficult few days, but we have up-most faith in you. And you're not there for the food, you're there for the games. Enjoy them, it'll be a fab time away. Have fun, dude, see you Sunday!

And righter than a family values conference at Texas... hilarious!

Hey Canon I'm just popping in to say I hope you enjoy your trip away, wish I were going somewhere other than Stirling this year!

Hope you enjoy your trip away, just remember all the hard work you have been putting in and i know you will do fine eating wise!! Keep up the great work and hope you are having a great day!!

That's the thing that helps me the most (not always) when I'm about ready to go full tilt on a meal. I remind myself of every time I have held control, of all the walks I've done, and ask myself if whatever meal or snack before me is worth it. Sometimes it is. Most often it isn't.

I have to say, a Canadian Ham & Cheese might just be on that list of "Is" ;)

Cannon, have a great time!

I had to confirm with Wikipedia... what we know as canadian bacon , isn't what they call canadian bacon in canadia.. (why are they called canadians when the country is called canada.. shouldnt they be called canadans or the country be called canadia??? I wait i digress..

back bacon is known as "Canadian bacon" in the United States but not in Canada, where it is simply called back bacon, or peameal bacon. In Canada, "Canadian bacon" is traditionally unsmoked back bacon that has been sweet pickle-cured and coated in yellow cornmeal. This variation is also known as peameal bacon, because in times past a mixture of ground yellow peas was used for coating to improve curing and shelf-life. The "Canadian" bacon sold in the United States is plain lean back bacon.

Bacon in canada is awesome... it's not what is on an egg mc muffin... :D

Cannon, I believe you've already left for your trip but just wanted to pipe in and say hope you are having a good time. Catch up with you on Sunday when you return. Can't wait to hear all about your adventures.

:D :D :D

and as a fellow Canadian... yep. Canadian bacon is peameal bacon. way less fatty and way less salty. lol... yknow... it reminds me of when I went to England for 2 weeks. English bacon is called bacon and it's back bacon. The US streakier fatty bacon was called American bacon. The English muffin was just called a muffin. But if u wanted a oatmeal raisin muffin, you'd have to ask for an American oatmeal raisin muffin. lol. Different countries, different foods, same names. Can get confusing.

hehe... anyways, as a Torontonian, I can say that I'm proud to know that the Toronto sandwich is a Canadian bacon with cheese. :) Yummy. Anyways, have fun Cannon! :) and drink ur water! ;)

Just dropping in to say hey. Sorry if I missed you before you went on your trip .... my computer crashed!! Have a great time, and be good .... but not too good ;)

Man, I had an amazing time, but unfortunately, I made gopod choices at about a 35% clip. I don't know what I gained, but I will post exactly what I ate. I have a feeling I may have brought back as much as 10 pounds with me. I didn't eat out of control, though I did have one heavy drinking night and I think I'm going to need to really buckle down to make up for some backtracking. Tomorrow, I will also be visiting everybody else's diary and catching up. Thanks to all for visiting--I never did find that Bacon and Cheese sandwich in Toronto.

cannon welcome back. hey you had a good time with good food and drink. It will come off again. Its going to be impossible to shut your self off from food when your on a trip. your back and you know you gained weight so don't get mad at yourself and just start get back on track.

Welcome back Cannon. Well, you had a good time, which is the most important thing. Like Hillbillylee said, anthing you have gained will come off again, but you will never get that trip back again ;) I'm glad you had a great time :) Oh, and 35% good choices is a lot better than 100% bad choices ;)

Hmm, I'm reflecting at the good choices and bad choices along the way. Here's what I had. I understand this isn't a diet, but I wouldn't call it a binge--not for a 450+ pound guy. Some of these things I cringe as I type, but I'll avoid explanations and excuses.

OK this is totally the wrong kind of food--duh. I will do better next trip and this was the most dangeous of possible excursions. I had fun and if I have to work an extra week to burn off what I weighed, so be it. I am scared to death though because I left at 443.8 and when I weigh myself now I'm coming up with 456.5 range. I don't like to think I gained that much weight on the trip--I'm actually at a loss to explain it, but I do know I mad some bad choices. I know I drank a lot of diet soda so I'm thinking some may be water weight, but to gain 11.7 pounds in less than a week this way would be really depressing. We did walk a ton on the trip and I was hoping to gain about 2-4 pounds tops.
