cabers, sheafs, weights...oh my

5/25-Friday

-Early afternoon-
Zercher squat:185X8, 225X6, 275X6, 315X4, 365X2

-Late afternoon-
1 hour of 16# and 22# hammer work with boots.

I'm now off to go work on HWD (heavy weight for distance)

p.s. Here's the link to 2 of the 5 reps I did for the 225# push press yesterday. For whatever stupid reason, my razor phone only likes to vid for a very short time. It cut me off fighting to lock out my 250 push press, so it's not even worth posting.

I missed a couple workout postings and throwing training postings.

Today-5/31 (thurs)

A)deadlift:315X2, 335X2, 355X2, 385X2, 405X1, 315X6
The rest of it was a slew of back stuff that I can't even remember the weights.
B)stiff arm lat. pulldown:3X15
C1)seated cable row:3X10
C2)back ext:45X12X3
D)face pulls:3X12

Undecided whether to hit legs or just rest tomorrow for Arlington. The teachers have decided to go drinking at the local Irish pub since tomorrow is our last day to teach until August...so I might just end up there instead.

Maybe I'll workout and order protein beer at the bar for my PWO.

Thanks Silent :)

Tuesday-6/5
A)Power clean:135X5, 155X5, 175X3, 195X2, 205X2

C1)chins:BWX13, BWX10
C2)back ext:35X12X2
D)chest supported row:170X5, 155X8, 135X9

Had 3 guys ask me how many more sets I had to go while using the rack. I was in my 3rd set of PCs. I shrugged, said "dunno, I feel I have about 15 minutes worth of work time in me." They gave me a strange look, but they waited patiently. I just knew they wanted to curl...just knew it. When I finished with the zerchers, they gave me props on the cool looking squat/deadlift looking exercise. I came back a few minutes later pleasantly surprised to see them squatting.

However, before this, some guys had moved one of the benches extremely close to in front of the rack. After a couple sets of PCs, one of the guys who was spotting asked me if I had to do that exercise because it was getting in the way of them benching while I was doing my sets. I politely explained to them that I was also having to wait for them between sets because they had moved the bench and if they hadn't no one would have been inconvenienced.

Thanks guys. Unfortanately I'm not having much in the way of legs flying open. The crooks of my elbows were a bit inflammed today...I tink it's due to the zerchers.

Anyway...
Weds-6/6

Meh...just wasn't feeling it tonight. I was pumped to hit the gym about 11am, but when I showed up about 10pm, it wasn't quite teh same.

WOAH @ every number o_O

lol...are you one of the guys that when you walk in, people stop and nonchalauntly stare at you while you lift? Just to get inspiration for their own lifting

To be honest, I do get quite a few stares. However, I've been going to the same gym off and on for a couple years now, so most people are used to me. Most of the stares are followed with questions like "why do you do 1 arm db pressing instead of two" or "why do you do so many low reps" or "what is that lift called."

Yeah, I thought you probably would. The last one I'm sure. Do you use a belt by any chance? if so, around what % do you start using it at. I usually use it when I go pretty heavy, or even not so heavy because I get yelled at. I kinda want to slowly move away from it.

I used to use a belt when I was going for a 1RM PR in squat or deads for some extra intra-thoracic pressure. I don't really use a belt anymore and haven't used one in awhile. I'm going to go back to using chalk on the deadlift as I've had way too many bars slip out of my hands from sweaty hands.

If I was going to use a belt, it'd be around the 90ish%+ mark.

So you do all lifts RAW generally?

I didn't use a belt today on some deadlifting and it felt like I got a better workout, idk how much the belt takes away.

Yeah...just a t-shirt, shorts, and adidas shoes.

The belt shouldn't take away anything...specially if you're tightening it up right.

How come you don't enter any RAW competitions? Like a PL comp. I'm sure you would do pretty well

Eh, at my weight, guys are putting up huge numbers. I'd have to start back squatting again and really work on getting my deadlift up.

Friday-6/8

B)hang snatch:135X5X2
C)Power clean+press+12" bb step ups[4 each leg]+BTN press:165X2X5

Cant remember who made the post i read it from, but its genious.

I was sitting at 205 today. I haven't had a bf check lately, but my waist has decreased between an inch and two. I posted a pic in the "eye candy" thread.

Pick up your phone tomorrow.
