Well, last night was better. My stress has kind of alleviated. I didnt get any exersice in yesterday although. Thats 3 days without:( So I am going to try to get back on track tonight and this weekend. Last night we went out to eat with family, I did really GOOD!

Foods for yesterday:

Breakfast:
4 oz. Danon Yogart (again)
8 oz. Coffee w/non dairy creamer

Lunch:
Dieters Plate with Grilled Chicken
1 Tblsp Cottage Cheese
.75 Cup Honeydew
.25 Cup Melon
2 Large Slices of Tomatoes

Dinner:
Spinich Salad with onions, chedder cheese, turkeyham, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, & those "little corn" thingys.

Everyone have a good weekend! Try not to eat too much of those fatty foods, (that we enjoy so much):D Cabana
 
Hi Cabana, you'll get back on track, don't worry. I hope you were able to some exercise in like you planned. Great job on the food choices :D Enjoy your weekend, as well, and keep up the good work :D
 
hey Cabana! Sounds like yesterday went well. Its always hard when you eat out. So many tempting choices, but sounds like you did great! Keep up the good work!! :) btw...i love those little corn things. lol.
 
Hi All,
First of all, the weekend went REALLY well. I made all the right food choices and had a little bit of fun with food. No excercise at all!!!! I promise today it starts again!
AND,I found my ring in my laundry basket!!!!!:D I thought it was gone for good--and then there it was! I never told my husband it was missing, so when I found it, I was like, "Honey, I really think we need to take this in to get resized, I'm really afraid I might lose it." lol WHEW that was a close one. Sooo, I'm off the the jewlers for lunch today:D

I'm pretty sure that I have lost a couple of pounds more...I am going to wait till midweek to weigh in to see if the weekend had any affect on me:) (It shouldnt have) I'm just glad to be back to my same ole routine. (Routines are good for us people who are trying to reach a goal:D )
So lets see what the week has in store for us!

Here are my foods from the past three days:

Friday (Had a small get together at my house Friday Evening)
Breakfast:
Yogart & Coffee

Lunch:
Grilled Chicken & Sliced Tomatoes

Dinner:
1 Cup of Pinto Beans
1/4 cup red chile
1/4 cup green chile
.5 Tortilla

Snack:
Cantalope

Saturday:(My busy day, so I didnt eat much)
Breakfast: Slept in late, missed breakfast:)

Lunch:
1 Chicken Ceasar Salad from Wendy's & 1/2 packet ceasar dressing

Dinner:
1 Cup Grapes

Sunday: (Superbowl Sunday that is.......:D )

Breakfast:
1 Serving Weight Control Oatmeal
1 Cup of watermelon & melon mixed

Lunch & Dinner:
The highligt of my night was the Spinich Dip :)
2 Tbls Spinich Dip
6 Crackers
1 cup grapes
.5 cup of beans(plain)
.25 deli meat from the inside of a sandwhich that was cut into fourths
1 Little, Tiny, sausage dipped in BBQ sauce
......I have no clue how many calories these things added up too??!??! Don't care it was fun ---And I know it couldnt of been that bad:cool:
 
Yay!! Congrats on finding your ring! :D Thats awesome!

And congrats on needing it to be resized. :) My ring fits me now, it was getting a little snug there for a while.

Anyhoo, you're doing great, lets keep going!
 
I am sooo happy you found your ring!! I remember how relieved and estatic I was when I found mine after losing it. That must be such a relief to you. I know how heartsick it can make you when you are missing something so dear. Yeah! :)

Your food looks great. Yeah, we survived the weekend!! I think Wendy's makes a pretty good salad myself. I like Wendy's salads much better than McDonalds. I would go there more often, but they never have the good Happy Meal toy. :( I have a few more years yet of being drug to McDonalds, then hopefully I will get to enjoy a wider selection of fast food.

You are doing great!! Your great attitude is astounding! Good job! Keep up the great work this week. Good luck with that weigh in later this week. :) :)
 
O.K. O.K. O.K.
I couldn't stay away from the scale unitl Wed. I just had to this A.M. and guess what? I'm down to 168! WHOO HOOO! Since the last time I did my ticker thats 3 lbs! (I think) Anyway, I'm under 170- And I can't beleive it! I haven't felt this good in a long time. The last time I weighed in the 160's was in 1999. Weight has an UGLY way of creeping up on you, don't it?:eek:

Anyway, I am feeling my cloths fitting loser. My top is shrinking (wish it was my rear) and I hope it dosnt all go away. I have really noticed a difference on my hips. Now, we just got to get those thighs going. I cant help but feel that if I keep going I'm going to look like some kind of weird-funky-shape. But then when that time comes, I'll attack it with some new strategy.

I am so appreciative of all the support that you all have provided. I dont think that I would be at this point if I didnt have you guys! THANKS!

So, 8 more pounds to my goal and then we will set a new one!
Here's my food eaten for yesterday:

Breakfast:
1 bar South Beach Diet Chocolate Breakfast Bar 140 Calories
8 oz. Coffee
2 Tsp Non Dairy Creamer

Lunch:
1 Large Grilled Chicken Breast
1 Cup of watermelon and melon mixed

Dinner:
2 Slices of Turkey Deli Meat
.5 Tortilla
1 tsp Light Miraclewhip :)
1 cup lettuce
6 thin slices of tomatoes
.5 oz swiss cheese

Snack:
1.5 Cup of grapes

Well, thats all for now...I'm off to make lunch. Guess what it is? Yup-grilled chicken:)...........Cabana
 
Congrats Cabana!! That is awesome! I can't wait to have that feeling! I haven't been under 200 lbs since about 1999, so that will be my major milestone.

Just reading that is a huge encouragement, so thanks, you rock, and keep it up! :D
 
WTG! Three pounds is absolutely awesome! I know how exciting it is to get under a particular weight. I felt that way when I got out of the 180's. I am so excited for you! All that hard work and motivation has really paid off. Keep up the great work!!! We will be here to support you every step of the way! :) :)
 
Good Morning All

:D Had a good night last night. I am back into my exercising routine. I did 50 mins. on my gazelle. Night before I did 1 hr. Since last week I missed 4 days straight of exercising, I'm kinda glad to be back on track.

Funny thing is that my body was telling me, "You gotta exercise-I'm getting lazy again..." It felt kinda achy when I was cleaning house. I have really come to enjoy the benefits of exercising. Like when going for long walks, I'm not winded anymore OR I can actually walk and keep up with people and not feel like I'm on "turtle speed." And one really big benefit is that I sleep soooo much better now!
Did you all hear on the news this A.M. on how a study showed that low calorie diets did not help prevent cancer in older women? We cant win can we. One day something is totally good for us, and then the next its bad or not as good as once thought. GO FIGURE...

Anyhoo, I've been taking a break from salads 'cause I'm getting a little burnt out. Today for lunch I'm going to try a crab and broccoli salad with some wheat thins that I bought the other night. Nabisco has these mini packs of wheat crackers that have 100 calories (they have those oreo cookies too)
Last night I had a bite of dark chocolate---It was so yummy:)

Heres my food for yesterday:
Breakfast:
1 Bar South Beach Diet Chocolate Breakfast Bar
8 oz. Coffee
2 Tsp Non-Dairy Creamer
Lunch
1 Medium Grilled Chickent Breast
1 Medium Ripe Pear Sliced
Dinner
2 Cups of Progresso Chicken Rotini Soup (90 Calories a cup)
5 Crackers
Snack
1 Bite of Dark Chocolate from my husbands chocolate bar:)

Hey there Cabana! I applaud your ability to do an hour of cardio, I can't possibly do that! I get bored after about 3 minutes -- and it kills me the rest of the way. I can stay on for about 20 minutes, then I have to move onto something else. :p

Anyhoo, great work!
 
Great job with the exercise Cabana! I know what you mean about almost needing that exercise time now. I am actually starting to enjoy my walking time. I love the way I feel when I'm done. I think it actually helps my mood. I find it to be a stress reliever as well. Its weird, because I used to absolutely hate, dread, despise exercising. Now, I don't mind doing it. Somewhere on here I read that it takes three weeks for something to become a habit. I guess they were right. Now that I have been doing this for 5 -6 weeks, it just seems like part of my routine.

Yum! Crab salad sounds wonderful! Hope you enjoy that lunch. I have been eating the same two things for lunch for a while now. I think I may branch out a bit.

Dark chocolate is one of my favorites. I bought some dark chocolate Hershey Kisses the other day, because every once in a while I really need that splurge of a taste of chocolate. :)

You're doing great! Keep us motivated! :)
 
Hi All,
Last night was a good night. I actually got home early from work. I was having a craving for some real food, it's been one of my first "real" cravings since on the diet. BUT, I didnt feed my craving. Instead, I made a flavorful egg omelet with lots of veggies, some cheese and green chile! It spiced things up and killed the craving that I had fabricated in my head.:D

I had some relax time last night and exercised intensely for about 35 mins on my gazelle. I also got my fill of inspiration from watching the biggest loser.

I tried to change my menu up yesterday(I thought I was getting tired of the same things)
Then after lunch, I felt a little hungry. I wanted something to snack on. That's probably why I was having cravings in the P.M.

So, I know that I have found a system that works for me-and that consists of eating a strong protein for lunch. It just holds me over till dinner time. Then I dont want to eat as much in the PM, which is better for us right?

So, I'm going to stick with what's working for now. I dont feel comfortable changing it up too much yet. Besides, I got 8 more lbs to go, and I'm not going to let anything spoil my chances of reaching that goal!:D

Heres yesterdays food:
Breakfast:
4 oz. Yogart Low Fat, Low Carb, Low Sugar
8 oz. Coffee
2 tsp. Non-Dairy Creamer
Lunch
1/2 Cup Imitation Crab w/ 2 tblsp Miriclewhip
1 pack wheat crackers (100 calories)
Dinner
2 Egg Omelet with Veggies and Cheese
Snack
1 Medium Pear

Yeah, I watched the Biggest Loser last night as well. My wife and I are now hooked on that show! Its a great inspiration.
 
Only 8 more pounds to your goal, thats awesome! You can do it! Switching up your meals a bit was a good idea. I do think that boost of protien during the middle of the day is going to help a lot with the cravings in the afternoons.

I watched the BL last night too. Again, I was so impressed with what people are able to accomplish! I am sad it was the last one for a while. I wonder when it will come back on again. It is my weekly dose of inspiration (along with the place of course!).

You are doing great! Keep up the good work!! :) You will be at that goal in no time!
 
Talk About Motivation

Hi, All
I'm just getting ready for the weekend. I dont have any special plans. I'll probably just round up some movies and stay home and BE GOOD. We are supposed to have snow flurries all weekend. I dont get it, one day its 70 degerees, and the next it 30 w/snow flurries:confused:

I went to the bar with my husband last night. He wanted to have a few drinks with one of his good friends who was in town. I had a glass of water and ice to chew on. It felt good to get out of the house and have some grown-up time.

I'm also so excited because I went shopping to try on some new cloths. At first I was afraid because I didnt want to be disappointed to find that I was still in the same size. I'm still wearing the same ole cloths, but they are fitting too lose. Re: pants:)

So with some doubt in the back of my mind, I slipped into the dressing room with a smaller size of pants........................................................
WHOO HOOO.....They fit:D ** They fit:D ** They fit:D **
You should of seen me dancing in the dressing room. :)

When I decided to start this diet (or started to make healthy choices:) )I was switching over to the next bigger size and I couldnt bear it! I really wanted to be that person that was happy being who I was///overweight///but i really wasnt.

So, now I find myself down two pant sizes (you know how they go by even sizes 10, 12, 14?) I am fitting into clothing that I was wearing before my second son was born. Now if that's not motivation.....I dont know what is. I am so thrilled. I never thought I would see this size again. Willpower is a wonderful thing:D

Last night since we went out, I didnt have much for dinner. I had a pear on my way home, I picked at grapes and ate some watermelon from the fridge. I also exercised for one hour on my gazelle (because my motivation was flyin')and watched greys anatomy.

I cannot wait for that to happen to me. I am going to wait until I get down to my next ten pound goal (which i guess is 168) before I go clothes shopping again. Like you, I couldnt bear the disappointment of finding out I am not a size smaller. I know my pants are feeling much looser, but I want to wait until I am pretty sure.

You have completely motivated me now!!! I have gained my weight over years and years, going up clothes sizes over the years. I thought I could just live with it too, but found I really couldnt....or at least I couldnt and be happy at the same time. I can't wait to see those sizes go down!

Your determination is really paying off!! Keep up the great work!! Your success is so motivating for us!! :)
