Byebye Big Bum!

Morning guys!

Thanks for that Xenon - helps with knocking the cravings on the head!! My down fall is chicken selects with BBQ sauce - 385 cals for 3 of them...so if I do fall off the wagon, its not THE END OF TEH WORLD. But I'd rather not!

Healthyjess - I drove right on by last night too!! I pass two different McDonalds on my hour drive home - one 20 mins in and one 20 mins from home...so it is REALLY tough if its past 7pm and I haven't eaten dinner!

:seeya: Hey Sunflower! Your recent pics on your thread look fantastic by the way - I couldn't believe the change - amazing!

Speaking of pics - Tigs, looking SMOKING! Ecky warned me you were on a roll, but 135lbs?! heck girl thats great!

Which is exactly what makes you an inspiration ;)

Awww Ecky you are a sweetheart :D That put a smile on my face last night after a VERY long and hard day at work (at my desk 7am - 9.30 pm without even stopping for lunch so I needed cheering up!).

Good news is, no time for even craving food at work lately. Yesterday I ate:
1 toasted bagel and cup of tea at 5.50am - 240 cals
a handful of grapes - 50 cals
bag of dried apple crisps - 75 cals
1 custard cream biscuit and a skinny latte - 130 cals
handful of cherries - 70 cals
handful of sugarsnap peas - 30 cals
grilled chicken, fresh tomatos and turkish wrap bread - 480 cals

Total - 1075
Weird thing was though I wasn't even hungry - my boss offered to pick me up a sandwich when he went out to get one at lunch, but I just felt like a coffee and I even had a can of my favourite soup to heat up...but I didnt feel like anything. Sugarsnap peas are my new favourite snack - so sweet, pretty filling but like 36 cals per 100g.

Weight this morning - 181.6lbs - W00T!!! 177 is within easy reach again.

Still no email answer from Mr X - either busy, stressed out due to spending cuts, not interested, out of the office or abducted by aliens. Pah. To be fair, I'm am being a bit like a 13 year old..."why hasn't he called ALREADY" hahahah but....why hasn't he emailed??! LOL

Right, off to do more more more work. Lots of hugs to you ALL!

Jay

I WISH I could be like you when it comes to fast food jjjay...once I start ..even with low cal stuff, I overdo it. You really have a lot of self control. Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!!!! that is sooo AWESOME :D:D:D

Well done Jay. You seem to be back into the swing of healthy eating. Just got to get the exercise sorted and that ticker will be going down even further.
I don't understand why I'm having so much trouble getting back into the discipline of exercising as I enjoy it so much when I do it and feel so much better generally. I know it will happen as soon as the weather gets better but I should be doing it now!!

Yay, more Jay posts!! Stupid Mr X (and men in general!)..I'm sure he'll email back soon--He's probably super busy. Well done on still managing to be healthy!!!

And if he doens't email soon, post his address on here and we can all email him bugging him to email you back :p

Well done on pulling back those pounds :):)

:hurray: 181 is awesome! You'll be burning thru the 170s in no time!

With or without Mr X as inspiration, you're gonna kick this!

Take care and don't work too hard girl! Make sure to leave some time for play!

LOL RedPiggy - you could go and hound him! Follow him around! Hmmmm. No. I have come up with a list:
- he's ill with manflu
- he's stuck in egypt
- he's temporary lost the ability to use his fingers after being in a horrendous accident with a maruading bunch of hungry mice
- his boss caught him texting me and has conviscated his computer
- he's insanely busy
- he's decided that he's in danger of compromising his professional objectivity
- he's taken and had an attack of conscience

Either way, I have my pride and I'm not sure I'll ask him again. We were sort of arranging coffee back in October, then I ended up going to see them in their offices in November so we didn't as we'd sat and had a long chat on our own then instead. So, I left it until Jan to say I was over his way again in early March - if he doesn't respond then I guess he doesn't want to but doesn't want to actually tell me that. My experience is if guys want something enough, they just call or email. If they don't, they just aren't THAT interested.

181.2 this morning so IT'S COMING OFF!! I've gone from 187 to 184 last week and 184 to 181 this week - that's 6lbs this month already.

Tigs - I am going to kick arse all through the 170s. I felt fantastic in November when I got to 177 as I couldn't remember the last time I'd been that weight - it was all a compeltely new experience...ooooooh...and the clothes.....such lovely things to try on in the shops! So, I can't imagine HOW GREAT it will feel to be 170lbs...or 165lbs...

Ecky - I don't think you can really complain about the weather now...can you?!? Not where you live!!! Your idea of cold is probably a summers day for running for me!

Xenon - I used to be like that - very "oh well I've stuffed up a bit by eating that so I might as well continue and eat loads more"., now I'm trying to say to myself that if I really really want it, I should have it but try and limit the calories so it is a controlled treat and not a trigger for binging.

Haven't eaten chocolate in...ages...now. Not craving the sweet stuff much any more. Food yesterday:

- toasted bagel and tea - 240 cals
- sugarsnap peas - 30 cals
- nandos plain grilled chicken in a half pitta with grilled haloumi on the side - 250 cals plus 150 cals plus 100 cals = 500 cals
- bag of dried apple crisps - 75 cals
- can of soup - 126 cals
- toasted tea cake - 160 cals

Total = 1131 cals

When I've got rid of the Xmas excess, I'll probably go back up to 1400 cals a day and my ankle should be better so I'll be back to running etc... I think although I am not currently very hungry, this level of diet is a bit too low for a long term weight loss plan - I'll just comeoff the bandwagon mega badly at some stage...

181.2 this morning so IT'S COMING OFF!! I've gone from 187 to 184 last week and 184 to 181 this week - that's 6lbs this month already.

Excellent jjjay:party: I am so happy to hear it! :party:And yes you are totally right about the way of thinking regarding food, I especially like your choice of words "controlled treat." Today I had a brush with some junk food and managed to recover :p

If Mr X can't get back to you, it's his loss right? He does NOT realize what he's missing out on I'm sure! I mean come on! He could be spending time with little 'ol fabulous you!!!

Hey Jjjay - just stopping in to see if the crickets are lonely. :D

Just kidding. I know things are really busy for you right now. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey guys, just a quick one from me before I dash off to work...

Hovering at 184lbs here but have been back on my indoor bike these last couple of days - did 10km last night so trying to start covering the distance. I now have some renewed motivation...some more business stuff with Mr X just started - he's very keen to hold a meeting (when I called up to say I was going to send him a letter) so I guess he just needs something to officially justify seeing me at the moment. I wonder if someone at work said something to him after I went up to his offices for that meeting...it wouldn't take much...just a jokey comment and he'd freak out...

So, I've got a few weeks to get back down to 177 when I last saw him. 7lbs in two weeks...so soup for lunch at work, no takeaways, no crisps or chocolate, make the right choices if going out to eat...and above all, fit some exercise in. I call this PHASE 3! Phase 1 was 240lbs - 194lbs, Phase 2 was 210 - 177lbs and Phase 3 is going to be 188lbs - 154lbs

I also have a coupon to get my teeth laser whitened which I'm goign to do in the next week or two - has anyone done this? I've done the overnight trays at home with good results but it makes me feel claustrophobic sleeping with the trays in so I thought I'd try the intense treatment. Sounds like some people find it painful though so I am a bit worried...

Morning guys!! Went to bed at 8 o'clock yesterday so work up this morning at 5.30 feeling GREAT!! If it was light outside I'd have gone for a big long run before work -that's how rested I feel!

Food yesterday was ok...I worked through lunch again so had a couple of bags of low fat potato snacks (125 cals per bag - like crisps but baked) - not the best lunch but better than anything else the vending machine has to offer!

Total cals for the day were 1162.

I think I might start catching the train to work again - just because teh station is a good mile walk from work and I think it will be healthy to do that most days (unless its raining!! then I will drive!). The fare is like £12 per day though, but then again, drivign to work and back probably costs me like £8 in petrol. It was an easier decision to switch when I drove a less efficient-more fuel costly car!!!

I really want to shake this last 7lbs to get back to my pre-christmas weight as I felt so good at that size. I have an easter holiday coming up and I'd like to have to buy a new bathing suit!! PLus then for my summer holiday I'd like to have to buy another one!! hehehe.

We were visiting family in london last month and I said to this lady (she's sort of an aunt but not quite that close, but known for being rather blunt) that I was aiming to be a 12-14 by my august holiday and she said "REALLY? That's really small though, do you think that's possible?" and I was like "oh. I am a 14-16 now so yes, I think so." whereas before I probably would have just kept quiet! But I have got to a point where I know who I am and what I can do and other people don't affect that which is a nice place to be.

I haven't weighed myself for a few days now - going to keep off the scales I think and just see how my clothes are fitting for a little while until the momentum gets going.

Anyhows, have a nice day everyone!! Off to work for me!

Hey lady! Great to see you on here again! You have been greatly missed!

Sounds like you are gettin' the groove back and I know you'll be down into the 170s lickity split!

It's a good feeling knowing what's a good weight for you and not letting other people dictate that, isn't it? I love it!

Catch up with you later!

Brilliant to see you back posting Jay. It was starting to feel a bit lonely here with the few of us that were left.
I'm glad to see that you are back on track and it won't take long now for you to get back down to your lowest weight.
I'm with you on aiming for size 12 for the summer :)

I know, things really slowed down around Xmas and afterwards on the board. Anyhowz, I'm back on for good - might not post every day on everyone's diary but will try and keep up! The seasons are changing and I'm coming out of winter hibernation which always makes me feel more energetic and back on the wagon!

People do come and go - depends what they are looking for and what they need at the time from the forum. I really miss the couple of friends I made when I first joined - Xenon still posts now but didn't for a long time, Bedsy has disappeared all together. I think people fall off the wagon a bit and then feel that they can't post as they feel guilty or like they aren't losing weight but for me the forum is more about sharing your daily ups and downs with people weight AND life included!!

So, my big problem today is that I'm working from home, I feel ill with a really painful sore throat, I have shedloads of work to do so I can't just go to bed and I want to eat chocolate and junk to make me feel better....even though I know it won't.

I remember Bedsy :( I wish Ludz posted more as well.. Sad times. At least your lovely face is back :D We missed you!

Hope sore throat feels better xxxx

Hello

I haven't posted in your diary in a while but I have been quietly reading it!
I hope you feel better soon.....I find that hot water with honey and lemon juice really helps sooth the throat

Is that post # 1000 for you I see? YAY!!!!

And it's in your own diary too! I have no clue where my # 1000 is at.
