Byebye Big Bum!

Hugs hugs hugs all around!

Yeah, I got to make some lifestyle changes - become less obsessed with work so I can post here more often!

Ok, I emailed Mr Z at work this morning like I said I was going to...cheeky friday...can't help it! I just said that it was good to meet him and threw in a reference to the joke we'd shared and said that I tend to try and keep in touch with people in his organisation as in my line of work I'm bound to run into them again. He replied within literally 3 mins...saying that it was good to meet me too, responded with a joke about the joke and ended with "Maybe we'll meet again at the next appeal?"

woohooo. Game on! Slightly unprofessional informal response from him on formal "official" email!

So I left it until late afternoon and emailed back saying that'd I'd been all ready to come back down to the case on the last day but was most disappointed it had ended early. I finished off with "As for meeting again, I look forward to it - preferably under better circumstances". No reply as I think he'd already left work for the day so we'll see on Monday whether we get beyond intial contact email and into "rapport" territory...

Needless to say, huge smile on my face at work for most of the day.

Hey jjjJay! Just caught up on your diary, so happy to read there are lots good things happening for you!
I so want to buy a kinect, they look so fun :)
Well done on the loss mate, keep up all the good work/running!
You're doing great!!!

Yay - was so excited to see you posted again. Your writings are always fun to read.

You go girl - flirt flirt flirt. I agree with Sunflower - at this rate, you WILL have a man for every letter of the alphabet. I love it!

Sounds like you just need to find a little more work/life balance - a little effort and you'll kick the 180's goodbye!

Have a fantastic weekend.

aww thanks guys. I try to focus on weight loss, but really I think I just like flirt blogging hahahaha. Glad its not boring though! I feel like I should be posting my dailing calories in and exercise out and measurements but to be honest, 60lbs in, that's getting old. Heck either its coming off or its staying on...so I'm focusing on the INCENTIVES to get the weight shifting LOL.

I wore my KILLER Stilleto heels on Friday - very very high heel (gosh I don't know 4 1/2 inches?) patent black leather....and my feet didn't hurt! The ladies at work all noticed them too :D woot! Being less heavy really does have its advantages.

180lbs on the scales this morning....well, 180 if its in the place in the room where it shows the lightest, 183 elsewhere. But hey, I usually weight in the lightest place so I guess thats the consistent message. I.e. when I was 177lbs before christmas, that was the lightest reading too. LOL am I mad? If I go into the chemists, I'll probably stand on the pay scale and be like 200lbs...but that would mean I must have started at like 260lbs so its all relative!

Hey lovely - thanks for stopping by my diary! :hurray:
I was just catching up on yours yesterday!! Its a very enjoyable read!! almost like a soap on tv ...like i gotta check back in on Monday to see what happened...what the guy replies...exciting!!! LOL
You are doing awesome with the weightloss - i wish i was at your weight already!!!
Have a fab weekend! :grouphug:

:hurray: YAY for 180!!!! LOL Jjjay on the weigh in on a specific 'sweet spot'! You know I'm totally gonna try that when I get home, right? I'll be dragging my poor scale all over my house trying to find that spot instead of always in the corner of my bedroom where my family can't see me weigh myself an insane number of times every day! :coolgleamA:

Can't wait to hear what response you get from Mr Z! I just love hearing about your flirtations with all these men! The fun of being single... Enjoy it!

pah. Mr Z must be out of the office...on business...LOL. Either that or he can't think of a suitable reason to reply! Actually in his line of work, when you are out of the office, you don't have access to any emails or voicemails or anything so they don't even bother checking in. Then again, it wasn't exactly an email full of questions or stuff he has to respond to. Darn it. We better win and they appeal...or they win and we appeal....hahaha. Actually I'd just prefer no more court case and meet him for coffee!!! He was so eager and slightly awkward, and actually quite good looking (which doesn't usually go along with eager and awkward!) - I think he is a bit of a professional geek like me as we both admitted in our emails to really enjoying the technicalities being argued over in court. What a sweetie. Unlike the gruff northern manliness of Mr X!

Anyhow, crapola day. Dealing with a complete KNOB at work. Came home late and punched the heck out of Kinect's boxing game which made me feel SOOOoooo much better! Good news is that after this week, they will have either come round to the idea that I DO know what I am talking about and they should take my professional advice OR they should just go and do it themselves and complete cock it up. As you might have guessed, I'm somewhat frustrated!!! Why both paying a fortune for specialist advice if you aren't going to listen?

Not a great eating day today:
toasted bagel with small amount of peanut butter - 300 cals
potato snacks - 192 cals
chocolate bar - 233 cals
tin of soup - 124 cals
apple - 60 cals
banana - 80 cals
tea - 45 cals
1/2 enchilada microwave meal - 220 cals
cheese - 120 cals
rainbow drops 140 cals

Total - 1514 cals which isn't bad but most of it was made up of rubbish!

Ordered some SPANX on ebay in time for next meeting with X...feel a bit bad because I am 4lbs (or possibly more...) heavier than when I last saw him and I swore to myself that each time it would be 1/2 stone lighter...if I'd have kept that up I'd be 171lbs now :( Never mind! It will happen...now its getting light and summery again. Pretty pleased with 180 though...now got a week to decide what to wear....plus should I have my hair trimmed and coloured?!?

Right. YAWN. I'm off to bed. Trying to get more than 6 hours a sleep as not much sleep = hinderance in weight loss apparently. And I don't get much sleep...

EDIT: lol Tigs, yeaH! Find that sweet spot!! For me its standing on my right foot in the bottom corner of the scale - thing is though if I always pick that spot and get the lowest reading...well its still monitoring my weight going down or up accurately - a bit like it doesn't matter if you weight in with clothes on or not...as long as you are consistent!

Okaaayyyy.

Food...ok lately. Hovering at 180 - 182lbs but got to find some time to do less work, more running and more posting here!

Spanx RAWK. Seriously, they are great. I looked and felt brilliant today! Add a non-bulging stomach to very high stilettos and I was SMOKIN'!!!!

Mr X....hmm...someone needs to tell him to wear a tie when I come to a meeting with him because having his shirt unbuttoned a couple of buttons so that I have to stop myself staring at his chest every 5 seconds is NOT a healthy way to keep me behaving professionally. In fact, that should be the other way round!! He was staring at me a fair bit though too.

Very nice to see him again. and he made me cups of tea throughout the day. after teasing me about how I like it. Awww. He is such a sweetie.

I feel very revitalised and motivated to get back onto the weight loss thing now.

:iagree: I love mine and swear they have helped my skin to shrink back up. I read how people that have plastic surgery have to wear supportive garments until their skin shrinks and heals, so figured it's got to be similar with weight loss - if you support your skin, it'll heal itself faster!

That's my theory anyway. :coolgleamA:

hey guys!

Finally got more than two mins to write a proper update! Ahhhh. I am still comign down from my fantastic day at Mr X's offices this week. I was all humpy on my way there as I'd been ummmming and arrrring over how to organise the day i.e. whether to schedule Mr X and his deputy's meeting in first thing or last - which was more likely to result in me and him having a chat on our own. Then I spoke to him the day before and he'd scheduled all of his colleague's meetings with me and put himself bang after lunch, in the middle. Hmph. That meant that I wouldn't see him at the start or the end of the day and no "chatting time" on our own. Fine I thought. That's that then. Crystal clear.

hahahah. So I arrived, and told the security guard I was there to see the first guy scheduled in for me. And he said "Nope, you are here to see Mr X. I have strict instructions to call him when you arrive not the other guy". And Mr X came down and said he wanted to get me settled in, say hello, make me a cup of tea and then he'd go and tell his colleague that I was ready to start!!! Awwwww trust him to come up with the best way of getting me on my own without the awkwardness of how to get his deputy to leave us after our proper meeting! So we sat and chatted for about 20 mins.

Then in our later on meeting with his deputy, she was definitely surprised at how well we knew each other and how at ease we were. Plus, he was a lot less tough than he usually comes across - I saw her give him a few sideways "huh>?" glances LOL!!!

So, that's made me think...well I have a good 3 months or so until I see him again probably and I need some targets for weight loss. I will think and post shortly!!

Mr Y - had coffee with him yesterday, he is very nice and uncannily like Mr X in looks, but its just nice chatting to him about and how his wife is getting on (quite pregnant at the moment). I'm finding it difficult to even feel a little bit flirty. Pah.

Mr Z - no reply to my last email. Double Pah. Darn these men that feel they have a veneer of professionalism to cling to (or at least don't want to leave email evidence on their official state email addresses!!!).

Food - been ok...hovering at 1400 - 1600 cals per day. Few more treats than I should probably. Not much time to go running as I would like, especially as the 10km in in 5 weeks now. Got to get my skates on and do some proper training I think. I could run 8km in like 1 hour 10 mins right now so need to bump that up by a couple of km and get into a rhythm.

I think I also need to work on some toning as well as burning the calories aerobically. I'm thinking of cancelling my posh gym membership near work though - I haven't been for like 6 months and it is costing me £36 per month. Since getting more into running, I'd rather just go for a run around the city than into the gym or do a DVD or spinning bike at home.

Been having IPL hair removal treatment (chin chin chin!! them greek genes causing all sorts of hairy havoc!!) - its really really great! Make a huge difference so I started getting under my arms done as well - just for convenience as I'd normally shave anyway. But this too has made a real difference in just a couple of treatments - not that under the arms bothered me, but my chin really did. Maybe I'll do my legs next!! Or bikini line!

Anyways, off to work! Hols next week so got huge amount to do today to wrap up / hand over. Call with X though so I'll be grinning!!

Oooh to never have to shave!!!!
I want my chin and top lip doing... Is it stupidly expensive?
Great with Mr X, not so great with Y&Z!! Although it is a little bit good about Y, we don't any pregnant woman driven crazy with hormones drama :p

Sounds like you are doing fabulous as usual! Especially with your day with Mr X!

I'd love to do some pernanent hair removal too! It's such a pain in the rear, and takes so much time! I imagine it would cost me a fortune to have everything done that I'd like done - whole body from the neck down!

Hope your workload eases up a bit so you can get some running in!

LOL. Yeah I'm not messing with a pregnant woman! To be honest, if someone is taken, its nice to be friendly and have a bit of a connection but I'm not going to go all out flirty.

Keep an eye on groupon Red, that's where I got my IPL treatment deal from - it was £89 for 6 treatments (usually like £300 - £400) and a lot of beauty salons are doing it. I'm sure the Leeds Groupon offers come up with it once or twice a month. I've been really impressed so far and its helping clear up some of the spots I get on my chin when I pluck hairs and they grow back - probably the only place I get bad spots anymore.

Sounds like you are doing fabulous as usual! Especially with your day with Mr X!

I'm working my way through the different salons!!! I signed up for another groupon offer for a different one to get my lower legs done for £90 too and the first place is doing underarms for an extra £30 per visit. Whilst I'm there, I might as well do it.

I'm off on holiday today - just a UK beach town - so plannign to spend lots of time on the beach building sandcastles and swimming with my daughter and doing some running whilst she is in kids club! If I can do 3-5 km a day I'll be WELL happy!!

I called Mr X yesterday to wrap up some work stuff and had a really nice chat with him. We were joking around about having a bet on something between us (which he won so I didn't get to see him do this forfeit he'd come up with)and I mentioned if we ever went sailing together, in the future when we were no longer on opposite sides at work, and I beat him in a race, he'd have do it then, and he said that's never going to happen, and I said whado you mean? and he said you wont' beat me! So I'm glad I dropped that in "for the future" at some point! I was telling him about my holiday and he said that I'd better go and buy some seaside rock then and I was like, why? And he said becuase I really like rock and you should bring me some back but not with the name of the place in the middle, because then they'd guess at work who it was from.

I'm kind of torn between doing it and sending him some in the post because I like him and its funny and between the two of us, or not doing it and being the one that isn't so eager and make him do some of the running, you know? But I think in his professional world, this is stepping over a line and he wouldn't go any further. I kind of quite like that he is in control - I am so assertive and get what I want in work and life, that its a real unusual feeling to come across someone who will say NO to me, accompanied with a lovely smile but not be moveable.

Anyway, here are some goals for the next few months:
April - current weight - 182lbs
May - 178lbs
June - 173lbs
July - 168lbs

- to do this 10km race in May in under 1 hour 15 mins
- to be a size 14 next time I see X
- to be good at my skin care regime and not have any spots!
- run 15km a week at least - aim for 20km
- salads and soup!

Right-io then...back to packing! I'll check in on my iphone every now and again over the next week. Take care everyone!

Not Portsmouth by any chance?! I've been on the beach every available second soaking up the sun! Hope you have a lovely time xx

I love the name of your diary. I identify with it. My bum is pretty out of proportion with the rest of me too. Still, i've had 47 years to come to accept it and i am better at that now. Once i was really skinny. I can't tell you how much since i didn't weigh myself. Probably wearing size 8 (UK) size 0 US. And guess what, my bum, though small, still sagged. What a disappointment. I know that nothing i do in the gym would change it either. That would only make it bigger. So i've seen it at its best and its still not perfect so what else is there to do but be happy with the best it can be.

But here's to SMALLER bums!

Just read your diary. (yes - all 62 pages of it!) You are doing amazing - and you are such an inspiration (and a good read!! ;) )

Keep up the good work - I can't wait to read more from you!!

Sunflower - not portsmouth I'm afraid - on the west coast but lovely weather!

Hey fourtyfour thanks for popping in. I think if I can get to a size 12 or 10, I'll be quite happy with a j-Loesque derrière!! At size 22 it was the thing that caused the most problems!

Hey ijustwannabefit! I think you deserve a medal for reading through all of that! I must come across as SO Mr X obsessed when you read it all in one go LOL!! It's hard to feel like an inspiration especially when I still have a long way to go but thank you!

Well, an update from holiday...been walking 2-4km per day, ran 3km on Sunday and 6.5km on Monday - the last run included up and down the big sea cliffs and the last 2km were on sand...jeepers it's tough to run on!

On the other hand been eating around 1800 - 2000 cals per day so got to keep the exercise up just to combat that! I feel very nicely relaxed though.

I just got back from laser. I've had issues from way back..hate it. Used to go as a teenager. It's less and less and I don't go consistantly.
So I've started again. Did chin/neck and upper lip (first time for lip).
It cost me $55 for both.

I'd love to have my armpits done too.
