Byebye Big Bum Phase 2!

*JAY SHAKES HER BOOTY*
*JAY WIGGLES HER STUFF*
*JAY GETS HER MOJO RATTLIN'*

Oh yeah! Oh yeah! 185.8 this morning!! The worm has turned and the ball is rolling in the right direction! I'm feeling like a lean mean fighting machine...well....maybe more like a slightly rolly polly rather nice really person who might get into a dispute now and then but look to solve it in a pragmatic human kind of way.

But seriously.
This is day 6 of 20.
I have lost 5lbs
I am very chuffed!

Back on the right track. At this rate I should be around 180 by the time my meeting rolls around....now got valid business reason to arrange a meeting to see X again in September when I am very tanned and lean from my holiday so life is GOOoooooooood. I'm going to treat myself to some new clothes when I am size 14 and not a 16 in sight! (That's UK sizes by the way!).

4 weeks and counting until I go on holidays (I can't wait!). I was asked at work yesterday by one of the head honchos if I was happy with my pay rise...so I told her not really as I was being actively headhunted for a promotion and huge payrise - LOL! She got really worried I was going to leave! Keep em on their toes! Little does she know that I love working with my immediate boss too much to go anywhere. But heck, the money they are offering is soooo good. Ain't no £ sign in T-E-A-M though!

Congratulations list
Congrats for being headhunted!!!! thats brilliant.
Congrats for losing 5lbs already!!!!
Congrats on being able to wangle some time with Mr-X
Congrats on only getting a happy meal
Congrats on not standing on one leg on the corner of the scales :D
x

Thanks guys!! I hope it just keeps rolling!!! I love my congratulations list!!! hehehe

Another relatively low eating day!

Food today
Bagel with spread and pate - 220, 20, 120 - 360
Skinny latte - 75
Peach - 50
Toasted chicken fajita thing from Costa - 415
2 cups of tea - 30
1/2 pack of tictacs - 35

Total so far - 965

Called X today...I've got him trained so he expects a call from me on Friday afternoons and if I don't he misses it! He snatches up the phone after the first ring and all I have to say is "hello" and he immediately cuts in because he knows its me! :D So we got a date in the diary and I have 2 weeks for super dooper maximum weight loss effort!

Stopped by the shops to try on some new clothes on my way home - bought size 14 new trousers and they fit just great! Its lovely to go in, try stuff on and decide what I want to buy because I LIKE how it looks, rather than the "does it fit and look ok" question... Amazing the difference that 5-6lbs makes as I was struggling to get into size 14 and having to resort to my size 16 work clothes! I am SO going to keep going!!!!

Okayyyyyy Day 8 of 20....

This is mega weird. 184.6 this morning. I mean, I'm not on a crash diet or anything. Seriously, I'm eating 1200 - 1500 cals a day and not killing it running marathons but the weight is dropping off.

That's 6.2lbs in 8 days.

I'm feeling GREAT. If I'd seen a massive drop at the start I would have just thought that originally I'd jumped on the scale at a "heavy" point in the day (food etc...) or TOM but it was neither and has gone down steadily. Makes me really want to keep on going!! I can see being around 180lbs by the deadline and even less in August for holidays then even less in September when I will prob schedule another meeting with X (formal work meeting this time with other people there).

Work calmed down a bit after yesterday - had a MEGA important meeting with a MEGA important client who I am doing a tiny bit of work for...that is coming to an end and he is seriously considering bringing most of his work to me...which would be a HUGE thing and massively help with my promotion case for next summer...fingers crossed!!!!

So: TaRGETS!
1) 184lbs by July 10th (54lbs total)
2) 180lbs by July 18th (58lbs total)
3) 174lbs by August 4th (64lbs total)
4) 174lbs by August 20th (just keeping the same weight will be a task on hols!)
5) 170lbs by September 4th (68lbs total)
6) 162lbs by October 4th (76lbs total)
7) 154lbs by November 4th (84lbs total)
8) 148lbs by December 4th (90lbs total)

9) Fit into new Helly Hansen jacket I bought ages ago
10) Find time to run 3 times a week
11) No self-purchased chocolate/crisps until August

thats so great jjjay! You're sure doing it,getting there!!!!So youll be great on your date in a couple of weeks!!!!
I know the old feeling when shoping.Buy what fits and covers it all up , dont really care if its pretty as long as its just ok to wear!!!!!hate it....

:):) WOW you are doing fabulous!! It is amazing..you get your swagger on girl...you so deserve it!! Way to go!! :) :)

Hey guys, my first not so great day (mostly because my daughter was playing up, so I was grumpy, hassled and tired of arguments). PLus, I was 185.6 on the scales this morning (I know I know, small fluctuations!!) which I shouldn't let get me down.

Food today:

wrap with cheese and onion - 360
40g of rainbow drops - 107
2 small pieces of tomato bread and low cal egg mayo - 110+68 = 178
salmon and wedges weight watchers ready meal - 330
grapes - 40
apple - 50
snack - 110
lean beef, veg and dry roasted new potatoes - 150+40+20+110 = 320
Tea - 45
2 pieces of chocolate - 2 x 32 = 64

Total - 1604

If I'd cut out the crap, I'd have been 200=300 cals less....

Urgh. ok. Going to go and do 20 mins on the exercise bike and some abs exercises as penance. On the positive side, jeans falling down today! HA!

Hey jjjay!

Quite the momentum ya have there!

Just remember it doesn't mean you can start creeping up them calories! That's what killed my last successful diet...

I was down 25 lbs in about 3-4 months and I was biking about an hour a day. I kept losing weight..and then I started eating a bit more and more...and then I got complacent and started biking less and eating more..and bam, diet's gone down the drain.

Don't do that, or I will come slap some sense into you!! :boxing:

heh. Thanks Ken - you are right!! Got to keep on the straight and narrow....

185.6 on the scales still...but I usually put a bit of weight on at this time of the month so fair enough. In it for the long haul so happy with 5-6lb for a week, then just a couple of lb the next week.

Food yesterday:
bagel with 50g of low fat/low cal egg mayo - 293
350g of strawberries - 98
chicken pho soup - 400
thai crackers - 200
ricecake snacks - 125
skinny latte - 75
tea - 30
bagel with 50g of low fat/low cal egg mayo - 293

Total = 1514

Not the best day, not the worst...I'm glad I came home and kept it very simple for dinner after having a bigger lunch. The next challenge is to find some time to reintroduce some serious exercise. Its not that I don't want to, more that work and home is all-encompassing at the moment and there's not enough hours in the day...

Better day today although I think my boobs weigh twice as much as normal! I'm surprised I'm not toppling over!

Food:
bagel with low fat low cal egg mayo - 293
peach - 50
skinny latte - 75
low cal meal chicken and pasta salad - 275
oaty snack things - 99
baked chicken breast and salad - 190 + 50 = 240
tea - 15
small slice of tomato bread - 50

Total = 1097

More emails back and forth with X and a long chat with his boss (oh my goodness...I think we might be becoming...friends! It is quite bizarre but she is lovely. I can understand why he said he thought I'd like her and that he has a lot of respect for her. At the time I thought it a bit strange that someone of his age and experience would be happy to work for someone younger with less experience, but I get it now).

So, Next VIP sale tomorrow...going to order some lovely new swim suits for hols and see if anything fits nice! PLus, my next course of microdermabrasion... Not sure I can fit in having my hair cut before my meeting next week which is a shame.

Will come back later on and catch up on people's diaries!

Jjjay...now that you have MR. X, you don't have time to write on my diary do you?!?! ;)

That's how it is!

I just noticed you lost 57 lbs from your ticker.....that is friggin' amazing. That is all!

Thanks Ken!! Its been a long haul with a couple of "phases" now. I lost 40lbs the first time round 2 years ago, then gained 10lbs, then lost 30lbs again, then gained 10lbs, now on phase three.....if I can lose another 30lbs, I'll be well down in the 150s/160s which is probably the right "athletic" weight for me - don't think I'm ever going to be a skinny minny!!

Well yep, Mr X and his entire department keep me quite busy indeed! Not sure if part of the attraction is that I like him because he specialises in a niche area that I find really interesting...or if I find that niche area really interesting because I like him!! hahaha.

Down to 183.6 this morning - PHEW! Day 12 and 7lbs lost!

Feeling good! Late for work! Heh!

184.6 this morning - but I'm feeling bloated as TOM coming and also had a friend staying over last night who really wanted an indian meal. I was pretty good - ordered a mix tandoori grill with a plain naan and ate half last night (woolfed down all the salad that they brought with it) and about a third this morning for breakfast. I reakon it must be something like 400-500 cals for the meat and 500 cals for the naan...so 600 or so calories for last night and 300-400 for this morning. SO much better than starter, curry, rice, naan and bombay aloo which would have been my normal order before.... Also did not have a bottle of beer...stuck to water instead. I was good at work in terms of just having a soup for lunch as I knew we'd probably have something high cals for dinner.

Food:
toasted flatbread with cheese and onion - 320 cals
peach - 50
tea - 30
can of soup - 110 cals
squares crisps - 125
tictacs - 50
1/2 pancake - 75
1/2 indian - 600

Total - 1260

Next VIP sale last night - ordered loads of new stuff to try on...was brave and went for size 14 trousers in a lot of suits...see if they fit! It all depends on the cut as to whether they are snug and look great or don't even pull over my hips!! It always feels a little bit like christmas morning when the sale stuff arrives though!!! I love the fact that everythign is 50% - no quibbling...no silly reductions...just 50% off! I stock up for the next year in work and casual clothes and buy a year or two in advance clothes for my daughter to grow into!

Great day at work too - just very very productive in getting lots of little bits done. I had a call with the equivilent of Mr X's boss in a different region - that his boss had put me in contact with and it went REALLY well and the lady had obviously been told about me by Mr X's boss...I can't believe I am getting a reputation!!!! It helped reinforce that what I'm doing is of value and a different approach commercially...and that I'm onto something good. One of the head partners called me into their office and we had a great chat about the next year and what I'm doing and she was saying I was on the right track re promotion and that my instincts on how to do things and manage people were bang on and I should continue in the same way and not be put off by certain colleagues. All this stuff REALLY helps with confidence - as anyone who is/has been fat will know...you might outwardly appear confident, but inside you are really unsure about yourself and your value and what people think about you. I used to think that the first thought whenever I entered a room for a meeting or presentation was "god she's fat"....now, I don't think that about other people...so why should that have been their thought about me?!? But I couldn't shake it. I dont' think that anymore.

Had the next course of microdermabrasion and eye rejuventation yesterday and my face feels great! It is really helping with open pores on my nose and old scaring from spots - which people say they can't see but I can see quite a lot of blotchyness before I put makeup on. Night out tonight with work colleagues so going to have to try and take it easy re eating. I've planned to drive home rather than stay over in a hotel so I won't be drinking which is a good start to keeping the calories down!

Have a good day guys!!

Doing great Jay! Have fun on your nite out.....being the driver is a way I force myself not to have those extra calories from booze also...good idea!

YOu had a grat day!!!HOpe u have fun in yor night out!!!
Cant wait fro the stuff to arrive and teling us your comments!!!!

Damn girl, you are SHIT HOT!!!! Really hope that mega-client brings more work to you, you must've made a big impression!

I LOVE the next sale, but I always forget the summer one! How does the VIP thing work? Do you get first pick? Do you have to have a credit account with them? It feels nicely optimistic to buy smaller clothes, that might not fit completely comfortably now, but you know for sure they will eventually. :)

hey guys...well I've eaten kind of badly over the last day and a half...but as I wasn't drinking, I guess this was a limited slightly.... I've had around 2,000 cals today and I would say 2,500 yesterday.

Weighing in at 185 so not feeling too bad.

The next sale works like this - you have to have an account with them and get the directory for each season and place the occasional order, if you are lukcy, you get selected for the VIP list for the sale...they say its random but it seems there are a lot of people that once they have had one VIP invite for one sale, and used it, then keep getting one each sale (like myself!). The VIP slots range over the 3 days before the public online sale starts - I always try to get the very first VIP slot (you book in a time slot once they send out the invites) and log in the moment it starts....everything is usually in stock for the first half an hour or so of the slot, they let you see the preview list a couple of days before and everything is at least 50% off. So we stock up on clothes twice a year in the summer and winter sale - all my work suits and all my daughter's clothes!! It saves a fortune. I usually try and get stuff for xmas presents too as it includes homeware and jewellery and watches etc...
