Breakfast-

Dairy free cheese omelette

Lunch-

Organic hotdog with ketchup

1 black bean and corn pupusa with single serving guacamole

Dinner-

Green beans

Baked tempeh (made with maple syrup and orange juice)

Snacks/desserts-

2 small no sugar added frozen fruit bars

4 small gluten free chocolate chip cookies

1 gluten free blueberry waffle (didn’t put anything on it)

Estimated calories- 1337 (seems like more though)

Pretty good considering it was Christmas. I still got a mini-lecture from my mother saying I had too many cookies. Maybe too much for someone with insulin resistance but calorie wise not so bad at least. The baked tempeh is sweet but I only have it on holidays. Christmas was nice and quiet. Got a new exercise game so maybe that’ll motivate me, considering the vertigo calms down a little. And got fun things too. My parents seemed to like their gifts too. Even though it was a nice Christmas I was a tad stressed so didn’t see my grandfather but hopefully Tuesday. He’s coming home from rehab today but I don’t think he should be. I'll hope for the best.

Well done on the food front! Keep up your guard over New Year´s though, I often concentrate on doing well during Christmas and then end up eating all the leftovers in the days that follow. All the best for your gramps.

Thank you Cate! He's doing okay so far.

2 servings guacamole
2 servings no sugar added canned peaches
1 small gluten free chocolate chip cookie
about 3 servings semisweet chocolate chips
1 glass unsweetened cashew milk

Calories- About 2,248.
Exercise- None

Could have been better but 2,610 calories is maintenance for me so at least I'm still under that. Too much fat I think. Less sugar would probably be better too. I will try to exercise today.

Yes, we can do this Cate! Did try to exercise yesterday but got very lightheaded. A little high on calories again, but probably still below maintenance. Did have frozen yogurt but had about half the amount I usually had plus less candy toppings, which is a good improvement for me. I'll try to exercise again today, maybe it'll work this time.

Thank you LaMa!

Still no exercise, very lightheaded, blood sugar has been low. Need to try get it to a reasonable level without overdoing it, seems eating less carbs is making it too low. Maybe if I eat less carbs I don't need the blood sugar pill? I'll have to talk to my endocrinologist. Did lose another 1.1 lbs though!

I missed something - are you diabetic?

I missed something - are you diabetic?
I have PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome, which causes me to have high levels of insulin and testosterone. The high levels of insulin can cause low blood sugar. Unlike those with Diabetes, I don't really get high blood sugar levels.

Did feel up to exercising yesterday so I briefly danced. Hopefully will be up to exercising today too.

Thank you Cate and LaMa. Definitely going to talk to my endocrinologist. We got snow and my dog loves the snow so took her for a short walk outside around the yard. She hates walking on grass, I practically have to drag her. But likes walking on snow or pavement. I should walk her more often but out street is very busy so its not really the best place to walk and I don't drive to take her to a walking trail. Speaking of snow, I used to cross country ski before my vertigo. There isn't really enough snow to ski or I'd give it a go. If we get more snow I'm going to try skiing again, even if I can't go that far.
