Burning Fat Myth- Lemon Water

aint it spose to be warm water? and im not too sure if it burns that i think it just helps clean up the body (acts as an antioxidant). i could be wrong tho

And here i was thinking it just boosts you're metabolism for the day!

Well, look at it this way, if no one can give you a 100% correct answer, why not be you're own guinea pig for a month or two and see the results. Like the hibernation diet, which says you have 2 teaspoons of honey before bed making you burn fat while you sleep, i did it, but stayed on the same weight for the whole time, when i stopped i was back to my usual fat loss, so dont do the hibernation diet people! ;)

There's too many variables.. it's not like you'll magically burn 10 pounds in a month just because you drink lemon with your water. If you do lose 1-2lbs, it's probably because of diet changes or something.

i cant think of a single scientific reason why that would work. It's just citric acid. The only reason i can think that a myth like this would become somewhat credible is because it may cause people to increase the amount of water they take in. This may cause people to think that something in the water has increased efficiency.

But without a shred of scientific evidence or even hunches, im gonna assume its a load of bull

The acid in lemon will lower the GI of a carb which will in turn lower the insulin spike during the carb meal. This will reduce the promotion of fat storage if you are taking in a fat with the carb.

That makes sense.

I am going to try this...so what I could just squeeze a lemon into my glass of water? how much should I put?
