Burlesque Babe

Thank you.
Today was a decent day. Went on a trail ride with my horse (first one this year) and he was pretty good. We only nearly died once. A motorcyclist blew by us too fast which spooked Elis, then a large truck and horse trailer blew by us right afterwards (you would think they would be more courteous especially since they saw my horse was just spooked by the motorbike). We nearly ended up flying into the ditch backwards, thankfully we stayed upright. My legs were tired from kicking/squeezing to get him past the llamas, and my arms were tired from trying to keep him from trotting at mach 10.
Had to do an errand or 2, but then spent the rest of the day relaxing (aka. being lazy and doing nothing). Still gonna do my DVD today. Finishing off at 1800 cals today. I'm over my weekly cals (by about 360 calories) but I ate fantastic Tuesday to Sunday. I'm really quite happy with myself.

Whoops. Had a slight peanut butter 'binge' haha. Had about 3 tablespoons which means I actually finished my day at about 2000 cals. It's amazing how much that little bit adds up! Oh well, let me tell you, it was delicious!

Hi mystic,
what do you think is the better program: ripped in 30 or 30 day shred?
I'm thinking about doing one of the two after I finish my current "program" (in about 6 weeks time).

Just to butt in, I've done 30 day shred before and loved it. Only 20 min work-outs but maaaaan, she makes you work hard and you end up exhausted! Not heard of ripped in 30 though.

Mysticcc, how many horses do you have? Do you compete? I used to compete! I worked at the stables and got my lessons free and then years later I used to help break in the new horses. I fell on my ass a lot :p Know how you feel about idiots spooking your horse. A guy on a bike did a "wheelie" next to my horse on a road and I ended up dragged down the road for a few hundred yards. Still have the scars on my back!

Hey girlie, seems like things are going well for you, and the scale is showing love! Well done!!!

Good that you got away from falling with the horse - some people just don't care :(

Have a great week!! :)

Thanks guys!

It's a bit hard to say. Ripped in 30 feels easier right now, but I think that's cause of 2 reasons.
1. I am on week 1 which is the easiest week and it will get progressively harder. Just like 30 DS got progressively harder (or at least was suppose to but most people find level 3 a little easier than level 2)
2. My body is used now to lunges/squats/DB flies and such from 30 DS so my strength is already more built up in those areas.
It does work some of the same/similar muscles, but also some different muscles. There are 4 workouts in Ripped in 30 where as 30 DS only has 3 so you probably wouldn't get quite as bored doing Ripped in 30. Ripped in 30 is about 5 mins longer than 30 DS.

I only have one (just euthanized my older horse due to health problems a few weeks ago). And yes I do compete. Currently have compete to 4' (1.20m) jumpers but hoping to do 4'3 (1.30m) jumpers this year but we'll see. My horse is coming back after a fractured leg.
Ouch, I have never been dragged before thankfully!

So finished under my 1500 cals goal. I felt really tempted to eat more, really tempted, but have held off and hope to hold off till I go to bed! Didn't ride and probably won't do my exercise video. I'm not really working tomorrow (doing one dog right in the morning, then leaving) so I have plenty of time to get my workout in and I'm feeling pretty tired today.

Thanks guys.
Finished up around 1500 calories today. Only had one dog for work so finished up by 9:30 and went to the barn for a riding lesson. Then came home and ate breakfast/lunch at about noon, and relaxed (and napped) till 4ish. Then packed up some supper and headed first to an alteration shop as I need my show coat to be tailored for my horse show in a couple weeks. It's ridiculously large on me now, but my new show coat isn't quite fitting perfect yet. After that I went to my parents' house as my brother, sis in law, nieces, and nephew were down. I brought my own food with me as I really need to stay under my calorie goal this week after last week. Had a good time there. Rearranged my cals so I could have some rhubarb crisp for dessert. Came back home and now and syphoning up the energy/will power to do my exercise video. Gotta do it today cause I am doing it 5 days a week and so far I have done in 4 times this week and today is day number 7 since I started.

Got my workout done!
Side note. This week has been pretty high sodium. Well, not really HIGH sodium, just higher than normal. I have been drinking more water than normal so I am hoping that I am not bloated with water weight on Friday for my official weigh in.

Thank you!
Finishing up at 1500 cals today. I again only had one dog first thing this morning, so I was done everything I needed to do today by 12:30 which meant I had the rest of the day to think about food and being a bit bored. I NEARLY convinced myself to eat 1800 cals today instead of 1500. I was SO close, figuring I could eat 1500 on Friday, but you know what? That would have been more likely to leave me over cals or struggling to stay under, and no real opportunity to fix it if I didn't eat 1500 cals on Friday. So I bucked up, found something to entertain myself with and keep me occupied and made it through!
Had a delicious supper of Spinach and Cream Cheese Salmon.

(sorry, the pic was prob huge)
Did my workout early today (which is one of the ways I kept myself busy!) I've been very bad about procrastinating with my exercise and waiting till after 9pm to do it which is gross! Haha. Today I got it done at about 5pm!
Really happy with myself today.
Looking forward to lunch and supper tomorrow. Making a pita sandwich with garlic hummus as a spread warmed in the microwave for lunch, then (and I know this sounds boring) everything bagel with peanut butter for supper. Mmm, peanut butter.

BTW, not expecting good things on the scale tomorrow. It wasn't kind to me today thanks to my sodium intake (which, though it's been under 2500mg I usually have closer to 1000mg so my body's not used to it) plus with my new exercise videos making me work different muscles I'm gonna have water retention. Oh well. I'm slowly looking a little better so I don't care so much bout the scale.

Wow so apparently I thought today was Friday and was posting my official Friday weigh in. Whoops.

It was so weird because I didn't really feel like it was Friday when thinking about work, but it took me till after lunch to realize it wasn't friday in terms of weighing in!!

Had a fullish day of work today, but have done nothing else today. I only have a couple dogs for tomorrow so will be off early to ride and do my workout, and I thought I might as well give myself the best chance possible for a good weigh in tomorrow by not doing my workout (and end up with fluid retention, haha). Been drinking lots or water and should finish at 1500 cals. Hoping to go for a walk yet today but we'll see.
