Burlesque Babe

Thanks guys. Just popping in before I head to the barn to say that
A. Day 3 of 30 day shred is complete. It's getting harder rather than easier right now due to the fact my muscles are so stiff and sore! Haha. Once that subsides it should get easier again.
And
B. I was expecting to see the scale going up due to fluid retention in my muscles from working out, instead it's been going down!! I unofficially hit 138 today! Which would be virtually 30 pounds down!! Really hoping this keeps up and I have a fantastic official weigh in on Friday!

Ending up around 2400 cals today which is under my weekly goal. Took a face comparison pic.

Tx for sharing your pix. It's amazing how losing weight changes your face, hey? It was the first I noticed when I started losing weight. Maybe soon, if I have the guts I will put up a comparison too. But you look really fab Mystic!!

Great job and just keep going!!

Thank you!
Finished up at 1511 calories. Had a long hard day of work today. I ended up with 7 dogs which normally would be ok but I had two large dogs today so normally I would book down a dog. I'm really trying to be working as I can as I really need to make some good money if I want to keep my horse and keep riding. I worked about a 9 hour day so didn't make it to the barn, however I made myself do day 4 of 30 Day Shred! Level 1 Day 4. Definitely less stiff and sore today which made the workout a bit easier. Almost didn't take any breaks (and when I say breaks I mean 2-3 seconds), and actually could stretch further than day one. Scale was not happy with me today thanks to my high sodium late meal of Thai food yesterday (which was delicious). Still hoping I will see a good loss this week.
Jumping my horse for the first time since his fractured leg tomorrow!! Can't wait!!!

You're looking great, though you were looking great at 165 too.

Good work on the calories today, particularly with the hard day at work. When your focus gets taken away, some times it can lead to over eating. Good job avoiding that trap.

Thanks.
Actually unless I am super tired or stressed the longer I am out of my house the better! I only bring certain amounts of food with me to work so no matter what that's all I eat there. If I get home late that means less time in the evening to snack or think about eating. Today I got home at 5ish, did my exercise DVD right away which, by the time I was all done, took till about 5:45. (I usually eat supper around 6) I ate my snack after that that I normally would have eaten on my drive to the barn. I then started making supper and didn't eat supper till 6:30, and it was soup so it took like half an hour to eat. Then I still had calories left that I could snack nearly constantly till 9 (which is when I usually stop eating). It's almost impossible to over eat when I get home late haha. Tomorrow will also most likely be a late day cause my riding lesson is at 5-5:30 so won't get home till close to 6:30 and still have to do my DVD exercise.

Hey Mystic - it's funny you talk about snacking in the evening - it was always my enemy. Recently I noticed i don't even crave snacks in the evening anymore!! Such a blessing!!
I hope you have a good day!

Hi Mystic,
Just wanted to comment on your pics. You look great! Definitely see a narrower face and your cheeks have trimmed. Keep it up!

Thanks guys.
Under my 1500 calories, and did my 5th straight day of 30 Day Shred. It's getting easier, in a good way.
I actually plan my eating so that I can snack in the evening. I know that's when I will want to eat the most (and have the time to eat the most) and so I save calories for then.
Jumped my horse today for the first time since his injury. He was a bit hyper but he was good.
Found out that we will be sending my old mare, Markie, over the rainbow within the week. :( I have had her since she was 7 and she is now about 20 years old. She has been retired for probably 9-10 years due to a chronic lameness problem, but she now has internal cancer as well as problems in her leg and feet. THe kindest thing for her is to help her have a peaceful end. I will go see her this weekend, and will also be there for her euthanasia which will probably be on the 3rd.

Awww... so sorry to hear about Markie. :( That is such a hard thing to have to do, especially when you've had her so long. Try to take comfort in the fact that she will go peacefully. Hugs to you!

Thank you.
Was about 4 cals over my 1500 calories today (which doesn't really count as being over). Did my 6th straight day of 30 Day Shred (Level 1, Day 6) and was able to get through the entire thing without a single break! I never had to stop during cardio or abs but did need quick breaks during the strength portions. I am also able to stretch farther as well, even though they don't stretch a whole lot on these DVD's.
Rode my horse today and he was great. Today was his second ride outside after being stuck indoors for the whole winter and he was great. They can be a bit excited when first going outside, but he was really good.

Whoops, so I finished up within my 1500 calories, but then I was making a new chicken recipe in the crockpot, and it called for balsamic vinegar. OMG the smell was intoxicating!! I grabbed some bread and a touch of olive oil with balsamic vinegar and dippe away. YUMMMMMMM! But finished up at about 1900 calories (3 pieces of bread, plus olive oil and vinegar) My tongue hurt so much from the vinegar (had salt and vinegar popchips for snack yesterday and today so my tongue was already a bit burned, haha. Just means I can be as free with my calories this weekend.

Finished up at about 1520 today. Did Day 7 of 30 Day Shred! Level 1, Day 7. All the way through again without stopping. My knee hurt a bit today, not sure if it's just random or from the DVD exercises.
NSV of the day, after my workout I walked by a mirror and actually saw some slight ab definition. Only the top abs not the lower ones, they are still covered in fat! But Yay for something!
My horse was fantastic today. Had a full day at work and didn't get home from the barn till 7 so by the time I was done my exercise it was nearly 8pm! I really didn't feel like doing my DVD but I WILL make it through all 30 days!

Yes, please start a May challenge. I'll join again.

Thanks!
Not my best day eating wise. I was gonna eat 1500 today to make up for earlier in the week when I was over 1500 cals, however I ended up just under 2000 calories. Still shouldn't mess me up. I could eat around 2200 calories saturday and sunday and still fit in my weekly goal range. Tomorrow I am probably going for Thai food, high calorie and high sodium! Haha.
