Burlesque Babe

Good to see you're still going strong with those monster work out days. :hurray:

Break days and catching up on rest is crucial on those hectic weeks.

Thanks. Not having a great day today. I should have gone to the barn and to the gym, instead I am making goodies for our family Christmas this weekend!! And I ate half a bag of white chocolate chips!!! Oops!! And it won't be a great weekend either since I will be at my parents celebrating christmas! Will try to do P90X or something once or twice this weekend

So I will actually get my workout in afterall! My brother wants to come use the gym so I am going with him!
I have my peanut butter squares done and just one step left to do on my red velvet balls are almost done!

Glad to hear the gym is happening for ya after-all.

& no worries - just get thru the weekend - squeeze in some work-out if U can ..... fill up on veggies (so no room for too many RedVelvet balls....)
& before U know it - it will be next week -back to "healthy" routine.

Thanks!
I did 30 mins on the treadmill, and of course my brother pushed me so I did 17 mins straight of 6.5 speed, walked a min then did 6 more mins of 6.5, then one last min of 7.5. Total of 3.1 miles or 5 kms (coulda done a 5k race! haha). Then did my lower body weights.
Had to try my peanut butter squares (just one) and it was delicious. My Red Velvet Balls... didn't turn out so well. Might just huck them.
Tomorrow is weigh in day... we'll see. I am a bit worried I will have lots of water weight from my late night workout.
Yes I can't wait for 'Chrismas' to be over!

ARG!!! I gained again!!!! I thought eating more around maintenance at the end of December would have jump started my weight loss again, but clearly not!!! Up 0.4 lbs. :(

Starting Weight: 168lb (Original Weight from a few years ago, my heaviest)
Current Weight: 147lb
Mini Goal: 155lb by October 27th *MADE MINI GOAL Oct 19th*
Mini Goal: 150 lb by November 15th *MADE MINI GOAL Nov 9th*
New Mini Goal: 145 By Dec 7th *Didn't make it*
Final Goal: 128lb

I'm sure it'd be mostly fluid- If you've been eating at a deficit for several months losing weight and then you suddenly spent a week or two eating around maintenance you would be holding onto fluid from the extra food (if you were accurate in your cal counts!) Maybe you're gearing up for a whoosh!

Hey gal - I agree with Luz - 0.4 is peanuts ! .....View attachment 19544
that's just the fluid of 1 cup coffee on-board ( did U know that 2 cups coffee actually weighs 1 lb ?? - wow eh).(just the coffee/no cup)...

~ will be gone in no time....

>>>???? & what the heck is "whoosh"??....I've seen a few folks use that word on here now.... ????

Thanks guys. I am hoping next week will show the loss but this weekend won't be kind to my journey. Just polished off about 17 wings, and mozzarella sticks, and had a couple chocolates and goodies.
The Wooster is when you stay roughly at the same weight even though you are doing things right then suddenly 'woosh' you lose 3+ pounds (or a fairly large number).

Not even trying to stay in my calories or even watch them. I don't have weekends like this except around holidays and if this is gonna be a lifestyle change, I want to allow myself to have weekends on special occasions where I can just 'be' with my family and have a great time. I just need to get right back on it on Monday!

I agree, sometimes you just need to let it all go. The important thing is to get back on the wagon after.

Thanks. Well my less than desirable eating has now come to an end. Phew I ate a lot! Back on it tomorrow though! I know I will be dealing with some really bad cravings at the beginning of this week due to the bad eating this weekend which will make it hard to get back on track. I have to throw out my failed dessert project that's in my freezer the. I really don't have any temptations at home but still, eating too much low calorie stuff still adds up to higher calories. Gonna/gotta do it though!

Well I hope you had a Merry January 5th. :)

Getting back on track shouldn't be too hard. I think it's just a matter of getting back into that routine.

Hey Mystic - don't worry - U will be back on trak before U know it - & it will FEEL good -

... I know myself with Xmas treats I was feeling "fuzzy/lazy"...but now- back on my healthy cals - I feel wide-awake, energy.... and if U get the hungrees - don't forget something high-fibre/low-cal to fill the gap - berries, apple , ...I even find a nice warm cup of coffee or tea helps fill the growly-stomach on those first couple days back lower-cal.

Thanks guys. Doing pretty good today. Not gonna get to the gym, much too tired. Had to go to subway for lunch but kept it to appropriate calories, had omelet for supper, and lots of calories left over to last me to the end of the day!

BAD eating day today :( My horse was kicked in the field and is limping badly and has a huge swollen knee. I spent the late afternoon caring for him, icing his leg, giving him medicine, wrapping him. This could be career ending or even life ending if he's fractured in a way that will never heal right. So I ate my feelings. Vet comes tomorrow so we will see.

Aw that sucks Mystic, so awful when animals we care so much about are sick or injured! I never realised something like that could be so serious for a horse either, that's terrible!!! I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you- hope all will be ok!!!

Stress eating is the worst too... guess just do as best you can, you aren't going to undo a heap of work in a day or two.
