Burlesque Babe

Well still stuck at 155.2, not that I was unhappy with that, it just would have been totally sweet, haha.

Just finished a bloody hard work out. Did treadmill and elliptical.

Looking forward to the long weekend! Which for me is THIS weekend, since I am giving myself Friday off after working nearly the whole summer of 6 days a week!

Good Work! Enjoy UR day off!

Do you get sore from the elliptical? Every time I try it, my legs get sore and tired before I get a good cardio workout. I realize that's good because it's working my leg muscles, but then they get a good workout lugging all this weight around as is. :D

Thanks!

No, I don't find my legs get tired from the elliptical. My arms did a bit today while going 'backward' on the elliptical as they were sore from my dance class yesterday. I do get that on the bike, where my legs tire before I actually get tired. I just put the resistance fairly low and do 3 minutes of faster, then 1 minute lighter and so on. But I know it will improve my fitness building up those muscles!

Bad news is that I was up 0.2 lbs this morning! Grr! Oh well, haha.

Ate well today, ended up with a lot of calories in the evening so had to have an odd supper to make up for it.

Went and had my dance fitness class which was fun. Hoping to be down again tomorrow... under my goal weight maybe!

Don't let that get you down! Sometimes weight just fluctuates or plateaus for a while. I was stuck at 140-142 for months and now I'm losing again. Just gotta stick with it! You've done so well so far!

I've been going through a bit of the same (and at my size the fluctuations seem to come in pound increments) but just keep at it.

Also, not that this has anything to do with anything, but do you have confidence in your scale? The first one I started out with was a digital and it simply wouldn't give me accurate readings: IE if I stepped on it five consecutive times the range of weight s it would give me would be as high as three or even four pounds. Now my bathroom looks like a doctor's office. :) Too much money to spend but I wanted a little accuracy.

Thanks guys.

My scale has been pretty accurate, if I step on it a few times in a row I get the same weight so I don't think that's an issue.

Well, I am a bit hopeful. I weighed myself after work today and I was back to 155.2 and I usually weight a bit more in the evening than I do in the morning so I am crossing fingers to be at least there (hopefully lower) in the morning. I didn't workout today even though I got done work quite early today I just felt so exhausted. I also have the next 3 days off work and I need things to occupy my time with so working out suits that well!!

Thanks!

Booya!!! Stepped on the scale this morning and was pleasantly surprised after going up in weight for the last couple days! AND I made my mini goal!!!

Starting Weight: 168lb (Original Weight from a few years ago, my heaviest)

Current Weight: 154.6lb

Mini Goal: 155lb by October 27th *MADE MINI GOAL!!*

New Mini Goal: 150 lb by November 15th

Final Goal: 128lb

Having my cheat meal today for breakfast/lunch. Gotta work out today as well, which I will do as soon as I get back from my cheat meal.

I hope you actually said "booya!" as you read the number on the scale. Otherwise it doesn't count.

Congrats on reaching your mini goal. Onward to the next mini goal!

Thanks! I didn't say it out loud but I thought it, does that still count. ;)

SO I decided to pull up my old measurements from when I was my heaviest to what I am now

Measurements at 168lbs:

Upper Arm: 11"

Well make sure next time. You may want to accentuate with a fist pump as well to increase the effectiveness.

Haha, Will remember that next time!!

Just got back in from a hard workout!!! Phew. 30 mins treadmill, speed 5.0, 5min run/1 min walk intervals. 30 minutes elliptical, 4 min hard, 1 min light, forwards and backwards.

Might take my pup for a walk yet today, we'll see.

Since it seems to be the cool thing to do I thought I would fill out this questionaire.

1. What is your current height and weight?

Was up again this morning however I had already eaten breakfast and drank a good 2 cups of water before weighing in so I am not too worried. Feeling very tired right now, don't much feel like working out but I AM gonna get to the gym just don't know when yet.

AWas super bad today!! Didn't go workout AND went to a friends house and had pizza, lobster tart things, chips, and chocolate bars!! Ya like that's gonna help my weight loss!! Horrid!! Oh well, sometimes you do need to have these fun 'whatever' days as long as you don't fall off track! First thing I am doing Tomorrow though is working out!!

I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. At most it's 1100 or so more calories and that's if you not only ate that stuff but ate a lot of it. That's only a third of a pound in the grand scheme of things.

I was at a bar last Tuesday watching a football/soccer/calcio match and the rail thin couple at the table in front of me each had a burger plate with a mountain of fries on it. They can get away with this and be thin partially because they're young and may just have that sort of metabolism. But it's also probably because there's a big difference between doing that once a month and doing it three times a week.

Ultimately if you resolve to do the best that you reasonably can given life and everything that comes with it, that will just have to do regardless of what weight you settle in at. For me I was clearly not doing the best I could in this area, and so that was the change I needed to make.
