Burlesque Babe

Thanks guys. As always the day after eating 'bad' is where I struggle the most with keeping on track as my body craves the bad stuff. I also got off work fairly early and don't go to my dance class till 8 so I have been just on the computer and tv so I am bored and that increases my want to eat. I should have taken my dog for a walk or something to waste some time (and burn calories ;) ).


However I think that I did ok.

I had 3 mini pita sandwiches for lunch with a slice of turkey sandwich meat each, and 2 very thin slices of cheese.

And a yop

I tried to have an apple but it wasn't a good one


I had a snack of a cheese bun (160 calories)


I then had 4 mini pita sandwiches with tuna and a small amount of light mayo

I tried to have some water melon but it was gross (which sucks, I love watermelon and the last few times I got it it was so good despite being out of season).

I was having a really hard time not putting something else in my mouth so I had a tablespoon of peanut butter.


One of the biggest aids to my weight loss is that I like Mio drink mixes!! I used to be a nestea iced tea junky (the sugary mix) and would have glass upon glass! I didn't like any low/no calorie drinks/mixes cause the Aspartame in it made me feel sick, but Mio's don't have Aspartame in it and I don't feel sick at all drinking it and it nicely replaces my iced tea addiction!
 
Had a fun burlesque class today. The burlesque classes aren't too intense cardio wise. But my muscles get a bit more of a work out, specially when we lift our legs with pointed toes. Phew, my muscles aren't used to that!!


I am a bit worried about this weekend. We are going to see some relatives out of town, and generally there is a LOT of food, with full fat meals (my mom always cooks with skim milk and such, but my other relatives would use cream and high fat stuff) and lots of goodies. I am gonna try to be aware and careful but the HARDEST part of my journey of weight loss is when I get back from a vacation where I don't eat amazing I have SUCH a hard time getting back on track. The large majority of the times I fall off the wagon are due to going on vacation or some holiday like christmas where you don't eat as well and I JUST can't get back on track. I think my burlesque performance will be my biggest aid in helping me get back on track cause who wants to be half naked on a stage in front of an audience!!
 
So I stepped on the scale this morning to another loss. I wish I could hold off weighing myself for a week. Right now it's motivating to see a loss pretty much everyday but I know that in a little bit when the weight loss isn't so rapid it's going to be demotivating! Anyways current stats are


Starting Weight: 168lb (Original Weight from a few years ago, my heaviest)

Current Weight: 159.4lb

Mini Goal: 155lb by October 27th

Final Goal: 128lb


Yay! Out of the 160s!! That's 8.6 pounds down from my heaviest and 5.6 pounds down from when I started a couple weeks back!


I unfortunately am starting to feel sick. I have had a stuffy nose kind of cold for a couple weeks and woke up with a sore throat this morning. Hope that doesn't hinder me. I was hoping that eating better, drinking more water, and exercising would make me feel better and get sick less! Apparently I was wrong.
 
Awesome job on the loss!!! I weigh myself everyday and I've sorta been plateauing but I like to keep track of what kind of foods have effects on my body, which ones cause a lot of retention weight. I have to just not let it get to me because sometimes I slip up and I think it's motivating to see how it affects me, even if it is a gain! It motivates me to stay away from those foods in the future.


Anyway, I hope you're not getting sick! Lots of vitamin C! I usually bring a bottle of water mixed with Emergen-C to work with me every day and I find that it helps stave off colds and whatever else might be going around during the colder months. Feel better!
 
Great job on the weight loss. Use it as motivation for the weekend ahead with the family, those events are always big tests especially when everyone is wandering around and non-stop snacking. When I find myself at one of those meals, I try to eat a small healthy meal beforehand and find that helps.


When I started working out again, I found myself starting to come down with colds as well. I think part of it came from the gym since some gyms tend are breeding grounds for germs due to all the people wandering around and not wiping down the weights/machines.


I've had some luck with Cold-FX to help fight off colds as well.
 
I bet seeing that loss by sneaking on the scale will motivate you to do better on your visit to the caloric relatives.

THanks guys! I am definitely SICK!! Yuck. I feel so awful!! I don't think I will make it to the gym today, just gonna rest up. I am still gonna go to my fitness class tomorrow. I am still gonna eat well no matter if I can exercise a lot or not.
 
Hope you feel better soon and congrats on getting into the 150s!! Seeing the second digit change on the scale (in the right direction) has always been super motivating to me.


Make sure you to not push too hard in the fitness class and let your body recover.

Ug, still very sick. Went to bed at 7:30 last night. Slept till 10:30pm then woke up with a raging fever. Got up and could feel the heat just radiating off my body, but as soon as I was out of bed I was covered in goose bumps and shivering. Went and took an advil then had a shower. I knew I should have a cold shower to try to bring the fever down but I felt so cold already I just couldn't bear it. So I had a relatively warm shower, then turned it to cold for about a minute before I got out. Crazy shivering I got back into bed and tried not to completely cover myself up in the sheets. After an hour or so I did feel a good bit better. Didn't sleep great but ok. However by the time I woke up in the morning I was feeling pretty crappy again. Took another advil which took about an hour to kick in and start to make me feel better, but I did feel better as right when I got to work I was a sweating fevery mess but an hour later I was much better. After about 4 hours of taking the advil I had to take another one as I could feel the sickness coming back on again.

So exercise class is looking less likely today, but if I can get myself feeling better tonight then there is one I could go to tomorrow so we will see.
 
So I am starting to feel a good bit better, though I might be in bed still by 8:30 or 9:00. I didn't go to my class today but there is one tomorrow I will hopefully feel well enough to go to. My mom invited me to go out for supper (just to the mall) but I was strong enough to turn her down. Yay! I knew I would be eating less than great this weekend, plus without exercising much I can't do any additional calories right now.

Ug, so I have been stuck at about the same weight for the past 3 days!!! So frustrating! I know it's cause I am not exercising however my calories are still roughly around 1500 so I should still be losing at least a bit!! Grr. Can't wait to not be sick anymore and be able to get back to exercising. Next week for sure!
 
ASo I don't think I did too bad eating wise which is good. However my brother and I went to the gym on Saturday cause I thought was feeling a good bit better. And I got very sick again that night and have nearly lost my voice and now feel nauseated now and again. We only arrive back at the airport at 525 and I have to drive my family home so I am not sure if I can make it back to my burlesque class at 8. And I am not sure how much longer I will have to wait before I can work out again. Sigh.
Hoping not to have gained this weekend!

So I hopped on the scale this morning not expecting any loss but crossing my fingers I hadn't gained. Well, I lost weight! Not much, but it was a loss AND I had a heavy restaurant meal last night for supper so I am crossing fingers that in the next couple days I will be down a bit more. Current stats are

Wow you have been through the ringer! Hope you are back to your old self soon. Hard to be worried about weight loss when your sick.

I weighed myself after work today and weighed LESS than this morning, yay! Which wasn't too shocking after my big meal last night. I worked out today, doing my full workout. Hoping I don't feel too bad tomorrow from it. I didn't feel bad while I was doing it but felt a bit congested in my chest afterwards.

I missed my class yesterday. I just wasn't feeling well enough to rush that much just to make it to class, then still have to do class.
