Good job on dropping the two pounds. Hopefully your horse will make it through the injury as well as can be expected.
 
Thanks guys. I ate well today, in fact I finished at 1564 calories for the day, so I good bit under my 1800 goal. However, even though I got off work early, I spent a lot of time at the barn. I took my horse into the arena while other people were riding, trying to entertain him so he stays as mentally sound as possible during his lay up. I then had to chat with my trainer, and watched some lessons and such. By the time I got home I only had an hour and a half before I had to be at a friend's house and still needed to make and eat supper and shower and get ready so I didn't make it to the gym. I will be going tomorrow morning and sunday morning.
I wished I hadn't been a bit... backed up this morning (TMI, I know) cause I think I had another pound of weight loss in my ;) but I guess I will just see it next week!
 
You are doing so great!! I know what you mean about the "backed up" its the story of my life :)

Having a good day today. Went to the gym in the morning. Did 15 mins treadmill (9 mins at 6.5 speed, walk 1 min, 5 mins at 7 speed, 1.6 miles), upper body weights, then treadmill again (wanted to bike or elliptical but they were taken). I just didn't have the will to run anymore so I did speed 4-4.2 on an incline of 4-4.5 for 15 mins, 1 mile.
Still have over 400 calories left.
Spent some more time with my horse today, was originally gonna ride but just had no energy to. Tomorrow I hope to.
 
Hey, good job in the gym! Well done! I couldn't even think of it today. Luckily we had good weather - so we went for walking!!!

Hope your horse is better!
 
Thinking about doing a VO2 max test on the treadmill, but wondering if I should do it today on my rest day. My mathematical curiosity gets the best of me sometimes. But I'm not entirely sure how fast my maximum walking speed is (which is necessary for the test). Am I reading correct that you're able to still walk at 4?

I've managed to do 3.5 before, but it seems like I'm ready to break into a run at anything higher than that (and of course at my size and age, running in such a repeated fashion is a lousy idea for my knees and and lower legs).
 
Yes, I usually do my warm ups before running at 3.5, but then during my walk breaks I walk 4.0. Yesterday I walked some of it at 4.2. I tried to do 4.5 but that was a bit fast, however I was also on a big incline so may have been able to do it when level I don't know. 4.5 would definitely be a very fast walk if I could do it.
 
I suppose it's probably one of those things that can be different for people with different body sizes and shapes. Thanks for the info, we'll see how it goes.

I am gonna be in my calories today, even though I am eating out, however I am just exhausted. Yesterday I was so tired I had an hour and a half nap, then slept 9 hours last night, but I am so tired today I have hardly moved ONCE since waking up. No gym. Oh well, as long as I am in my calories I will still lose weight.
 
Really proud of myself. With such a horrid stressful day I ate well, AND I actually made it to the gym! At 9pm, I suddenly lept up, changed, and went and did a full work out!

.. I am so proud of you Mystic - so healthy that you took your stress from that tuff day & put the energy into exercise (instead of having a feelin-sorry for ya food party)... you are learning healthy skills/habits that will serve you well .

& BIG COngratulations on 2 pounds down- have faith in your process - U R getting there girl !

Hey, you're doing a great job, staying within your calories and being very consistent on the exercise, which is super important for weight loss -- congrats on losing that 2 lbs too!

Thanks guys. So I was confused as to why I felt just EXHAUSTED yesterday and today, until my brain finally kicked in and realized it was most likely caused by the fact that I got my monthly visit from Aunt Flow this morning. I have a tendency to take ill at this time of the month. Crossing fingers I don't actually get sick and my energy comes back quickly. Didn't work out today cause of it. I was nicely in my calories though, even with going out for supper!
 
Thanks. I felt a bit less tired but still not great. Got home pretty late from the barn (to my chicken burning in my crock pot after misreading my recipe and putting in too little sauce :( ) and still tired so didn't go to the gym. However, I am eating great. Had a delicious chocolate bar but it fits nicely into my calories so it's not a bad thing! Chocolate + ToM = A Good Thing!
 
So far being good eating today (even fit in a cinnamon bun! yummy!) still have over 500 calories left and it's after 7 so I should easily stay under calories. Still feeling a bit blah so no gym, but planning to go tomorrow cause work will be short.
