At 22, I finally topped out at 275 (I'm 5'5") and was so uncomfortable in my own body, I decided I finally needed to do something concrete about it. I started exercising every day (stationary bike and Wii fit) and switched between low-cal diets and low-carb diets. I found both worked, and that switching between the two helped me not to get bored with them. I'm at 235 right now, and though I still have a ways to go, the difference in 40 pounds has been incredible.
Right now I'm doing a low-carb meal plan. I'm trying to keep at 20 net carbs or under. I'm not counting calories at all, but I'm making sure not to binge eat (which I definitely tend to struggle with).
My next goal is 225... I've been giving myself a reward each time I meet a goal. This reward is a pair of American Eagle jeans.. which I haven't been able to fit into since high school, since they only carry up to a size 18. Luckily the AE website was having a sale on jeans... Lol
I think the hardest thing is seeing my roommates sit and eat an enormous serving of something I love... like General's Chicken or pizza. Pretty much sucks.
Anyhow... that's all
