Great effort going past the drive thru :) small changes will get you to where you want to go a bit at a time.
 
Today was the infamous Dr visit...On his scales I was 294.8. Did yall hear that? 294.8!!! Its like 300s are really behind me. This is my lowest in 5 years and I am only 5lbs away from like a 10 year low! My H1C was also way improved. That is a blood test to see how my blood sugar levels have been over the last couple of months. It went from a 9.6 last time to 8.1 (should be around 7) any my Dr said "instead of talking about going on insulin we are now gonna talk about taking you off some meds if you keep this up!
I am so stoked! I leave for my convention in Austin tomorrow...I gotta keep my head on straight at that thing and stay on plan. Too much good has come out of this mear 3 month effort. By the way Im down 30 lb since Oct 26th when I started!

Went to high school basketball games tonight of one of my schools...3 people came up to me and asked if I had lost weight!
Its finally noticeable!
 
I leave for convention in a couple of hours. I am gonna get in a nice long bike ride to kinda shoot me out the door in a positive frame of mind.
The hotel had internet and I am taking my laptop so I will post there. The hotel also has a fantastic gym so I should be able to get in great workouts too. (they have this great steamroom that is fantastic to sit in and sweat out toxins after the workout)
I am also gonna buy some healthy things to eat that I will keep in my room like some granola bars to eat instead of the breakfast buffett. I get taken out by our district's attourneys to a really nice steakhouse during this trip and I aint gonna skip that one, but I will try and pay for it in advance with workouts. Wish me luck guys...Im a little afraid of this...

It's ok to eat that steak you deserve it!! Remember your portion sizes tho!! And maybe replace that baked potato with steamed veggies! lol You can do this no worries!! :coolgleamA:

I am at convention right now. Havent had a chance to post. I have way more positive news than negative. I have worked out feverously every day (twice on Sunday) and have not gone nuts on the eating.
I did eat that steak and damn it was good But I had asparagus with it and didnt eat the potatoes. I also bought healthy breakfast bars to keep in my room and keep me away from the breakfast buffetts. That has worked great. Still I want to get back to my healthy home routine thats working for me
More good news I bet 10 people have noticed my weight loss..COOL!

I am at convention right now. Havent had a chance to post. I have way more positive news than negative. I have worked out feverously every day (twice on Sunday) and have not gone nuts on the eating.
I did eat that steak and damn it was good But I had asparagus with it and didnt eat the potatoes. I also bought healthy breakfast bars to keep in my room and keep me away from the breakfast buffetts. That has worked great. Still I want to get back to my healthy home routine thats working for me

Thats' awesome!!! 10 people have already notcied Brawny your doing wonderful keep it up!!! U got some will power my friend I don't know if I could skip the buffets!!!! Good for you... and you know what you have motivated me so much... I feel wonderful everyday... and I slack a little but since our little challenge i have been getting my excersize in somehow...

WOAH good job with substituting out the asparagus for the potatoes! I feel like I would have just gotten over excited and eaten it all. I've read through your posts and I think your determination is just great! I've definitely lost weight in the past as well adn gained it all back. Hopefully this time it's different - for all of us! :)

OH ANDDD it's alwaysss exciting when someone notices your weight loss. TEN PEOPLE? WHOA WHOA WHOA!! :) Keep up the amazing job!
 
Good work, mate for keeping sooo strong and fighting the temptation of the buffets!! Isnt it such a great feeling when people notice your hardwork but 10!!!! Thats fantastic!:hurray:
 
So you have ice too?? How often do u get ice in TX lol.. We have a few inches here.. Hoping we don't get anymore tonight..

And thats great I think its ok to eat something special every now and then and you made great choices!! And congrats on ppl noticing your loss!!

One more little change. I wore this black turtleneck today. It goes good with my grey blazer. Well last time I wore it (maybe 2 months ago) it was way tight on my neck...this time....no problemo! Fits like a dream!

Thanks guys..My fat clothes are getting pretty loose....I will be ready for some new ones soon...That will be kinda fun...Damn I sound like a chick...
Well I weighed in this morning to see how I did....295.8...thats on my scale I was 294.8 on the Dr's scale last friday but I think it is a nicer scale than mine so Im gonna guess I pretty much broke even. That is so much better than in the past. I worked out like crazy this time and I think that did it. Now that thats over I can get back to losing. 1800 calories a day here I come....sigh...That steak was good ...oh well I like subway too

What do you play?? Hello my soon to be skinny buddies. Sorry no posts from me this weekend. I spent the whole weekend on studying and basketball. All three of my kids are in youth basketball one in Jr High and the other two in pee wee. Had 4 games to watch on Sat. Also I have my Doctoral comprehensive exams at the end of Feb. This is a two day test in which anything and every thing from all of the doctoral classes could be asked...Needless to say I will be studying a lot.
But I did exercise!
I added up my bike mileage for Jan......131.7 miles! Not bad for a fat boy! I feel kinda stalled on my weight loss...so I am going to try and ramp up my exercise. I am going for twice a day for the next 2 days...Already did 30 minutes and 8.3 miles on the bike this morning. Ivette, my convention was in Austin...Not as fun as Vegas Now I am off to tip toe through some of yalls threads...poof
 
Are you going to be a doctor? OK I know just because it's a doctoral exam doesn't mean you're goign to be a doctor. HAha. So what do you DOO EXACTLY? Just curious. I'm not a stalker/creeper. ;)

GREAT JOB WITH THE BIKING! I can't wait til this Northern California weather isn't so cold anymore so I can bike around! :)
