Great job on the walking and not indulging in those cheesy potatoes. There are somethings I find more tempting than others. Potatoes don't do anything for me ( even drowning in cheese and butter) but Nachos? Look out!

Weighed in
292.8 that's 1.2 lost last week. I am at 19 lbs total loss.
Was hoping to make it to the 20 lb mark but a loss is a loss is a loss
I will make that 20lb gone mark this week. Mark my words. And to get that going I hit the track for 72 minutes today then strolled a couple of laps after that. My step counter on my phone today said 12459 steps
Not bad for a fat boy.

Happy Monday my chubby yet outstanding friends!
Another week lies before us. Lets mak it count!
Challenges of the week- I have a business trip Wed. and Thurs.
I gotta get my mind right. Restaurant eating is not my strength area.
I plan on shopping for some healthy stuff that I can eat in my room and using the finess room in the hotel for a big ol workout one Wed. night. I am glad I am doing the 100 days of no fast food challenge which will help me bypass this fried chicken place I really have binged at in the past.
My goal is to really focus on the fitness possibilities by using that gym for a long and full workout.
I will be driving through Waco on my way home and my oldest son goes to Baylor. I am going to take him and his sweet girlfriend out to eat on my way through. Gotta find something there that wont wreck my weigh in which of course is the next day. I really need to hit that 20lb mark this week.
This is a prime example of how life is. There is always the events that can get us off plan. I must deal with this.

I cant believe I am claiming this as a victory but I guess it is one
With my latest 1.2lb loss I have moved from "Morbidly Obese" To "Obese" on the BMI ratings.
Lets have a party!
Can we have cake/....Guess not.

It is definitely a victory. Any movement in the scale is. It is also nice to get through every milestone. Just wait until you go from Obese to Overwieght to Normal weight. You are on the path to normalness. I have never been normal even though my weight is-lol. Great Job!!

I'd call that a victory. I'd also hump the air in celebration.

I'd say that's a pretty big deal. Take the victories where you can.

That prompted me to look into mine.

According to the calculators online, at 275 I started as a class III obese person. At my current weight of 233, I'm considered class I obese. At 203lbs, I will just be considered "overweight" and no longer obese. That certainly sounds like a nice first target goal. I dunno, it says "normal" weight is under 169.3lbs. That seems pretty light to me... but I guess I'll see how I feel once I'm closer to that.

Thanks guys
Goodbye "morbidly obese"
Hello "Obese" lol

Mo- I hear ya on the "ideal weight" number mine After 14 years of playing football and all the weight training that came with it. I don't think I fit that. I still carry quite a bit of muscle mass under my flab

Ideal weights are just a guideline. My doctor didn't want me below 200 pounds because of my build. I am supposed to be 164-181 but he said that is too low. Although I am about 175 now. Just trying to build up some muscle now!

I was 15 the last time I weighed 200
I played college football at a very lean 246.
I think at 225 or so I would be very healthy
I haven't seen 250 in 18 years
I would be very happy to get back in this range

Hi Brawnyyy - I remember losing 40lbs and getting down to my "goal weight" and I was only just into the average category and I was so pissed off. I hate BMI and those stupid categories, we are all shaped so differently. Morbidly obese my buttttt. My friend is like huge rugby player and weighs about 280 and is morbidly obese with a six pack. It means nooooothing. /rant over. Hope you're all groovy lovely x

I think it is important that we set our own goals according to how we look or how we feel not according to some numbers that someone else made up. Only you know where you feel and look your best.

LaMa,thanks I'm going with those goal numbers.

Cowboy and Sunflower, I agree completely I remember reading that today's ideal weight charts were developed from insurance charts from the 1930 s! Way before weight training and proper nutrition
Who needs ideal weight charts anyway! Not me!

Report from business trip:
Ate 2000 but no fast food. Had a nice salad with very limited dressing for dinner and walked for an hour on the treadmill in the fitness room. This old lady came in and got on the other treadmill right when I started. Well I wasn't gonna let that old gal out walk me! Lol...dang that lady could walk! Took me 64 minutes but I was whupped her ass! ( metaphorically of course lol)
