The key here is that you consciously thought "your gonna be pissed at yourself later for this". That is the key. It makes you stop and refocus yourself. Better than just stuffing your face and not thinking about anything but how good it tastes. You are making progress my friend. Eventually you don't have to refocus yourself as it is just there all the time. It does get easier to resist temptation- well it isn't easy but it gets easier-lol.
I was that guy too once. I went to McDonalds in my younger days and regularly ate an extra large Big Mac meal with two extra cheeseburgers and that was before supper. Now I am SPLITTING an egg Mcmuffin no cheese and no butter with my wife at Breakfast time-LMAO. I didn't think that I would ever get to where I am but I did and so can you.
