I wish I was good at biking. I cannot go up any hill, even if it's tiny or just a slight slope, if my life depended on it!!! One day, I would like to be good at it. Apparently I want to be good at a lot things (running, biking, swimming, better flexibility, stronger...) is it even possible to do it all? I know some people can, I barely have time to come on here, let alone try and do all those things! lol
 
Hi brawny! Just dropping by and wanted to say you can get padded thingies to put on your bike saddle to make it less uncomfortable.
I bought a cheap one so I can't say it is amazing but helps a bit :)
 
Have you considered replacing the seats that suits your riding? I went to a bike shop, tried multiple seats and it made a world of a difference.
 
You guys are awesome...all that concern for my sore bum...true friends! Ha ha....well took 3 days off the bike but tonight I rode that thing 16.17 miles in 59 minutes (mrs brawny said "why didn't you go ahead and do an hour?" I said"the song ended")
Butt hurt a bit which is also why I got off one minute shy of the logical ending point.
Overall felt really good
Hope the scale Gods are in my favor...maybe I will burn some Doritos as a sacrifice to them.
 
Song ended HA-HA. Good pace. Offering to the scale gods, maybe I should go to the kitchen and collect a little of something, I am doing my weigh in very soon.

Lost 1.4 this week
I am a pound and a half away from a 15 year low.
Thought I might lose 2 or 3 this week but I am happy with what I got.

A pound and a half a week is a respectable rate. You can drop a pretty good chunk of weight that way.

I think it would have been at least three pounds had you'd done that extra minute and made it a full hour though. Lesson learned...
 
Yep....shoulda done that extra minute....
But I did 43 minutes tonight! 12.1 miles.
Total for July 141 miles.
Ate well..about 1800 calories
Tomorrow will be 49th day (this time)
Have lost 20 lb
 
Woohoo well done on the loss!

I got a padded saddle thing for my exercise bike off Ebay which helped a lot. Ain't gunna lie, still gave me a sore butt but it was bearable compared to before I got it!
 
Confession time...took a meal off last night, had been craving Mexican food and some good friends invited us out and I splurged. It was really good but gave me midnight upset stomach...doesn't take a mental giant to expect that after 7 weeks of modest eating....but got right back on track today..Ate well and rode bike 17 miles!
158 miles for July! My goal of 150 is in the books....200 anyone?
