Starting Weight Oct 07: 183
Goal Weight: 140
Current Weight: 171

Another goal is to fit comfortably into this pair of pants I've been holding onto for 4 yrs! I've never been able to button them.

I feel like I ate a ton of food today, but I kept track of everything and came out under my target of 1200 calories, I guess the beer & fastfood made me feel full all day-

3 Beers 480
Wendy's Jr Cheeseburger 300
Side Salad 95
Popcorn 40
Baked Cheetos 130
Jelly Bellys 45

Total: 1090

Not the healthiest I know.. but it's the weekend so oh well.

I didn't exercise, but I did clean out my bthroom drawers & cabinets & get rid of a bunch of old makeup & junk, so I accomplished something:)
I'm trying to declutter & organize my home at the same time as losing the weight.

Nice work on the decluttering! I like wendy's. I usually get a salad and chili when I go because the chili is only 220 cals for a small one I think.

I used to get the Spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's, but was shocked it had so many calories!! We don't eat a lot of fastfood but when I decided to get serious about losing weight I went to all the fast food sites & Dominos & wrote down all the lowest cal/fat choices so when my dh picks something up I don't have to say "Oh, I guess I'll steam some vegetables"

I did well yesterday.. again I felt like I was eating more than my share but came in round 1000 cals.

I did the Just My Size Yoga DVD. It was a little too easy for me.
I have a huge list of exercise dvds in my Netflix queue, I plan to just do each one as they come. Even if I could afford a gym membership, there aren't any close to me. As a sahm it'd be a special trip just for the gym & I doubt I'd go often enough. I want to get a treadmill or eliptical.

I did pretty good this week. I ate beteween 1000 & 1300 calories everyday & managed to do the yoga dvd 3 times. I added aerobics to it once. The next several dvds in my list are more challenging so hopefully I will lose even more.
I lost 4 lbs this week- more than I expected to- yay!

The food thing isn't as hard as I thought it would be. In the past I've started & gave up on different diets like Atkins, The Zone, the maple syrup fast, cabbage soup, etc.. I've never lasted more than a week or 2 because I'm really bad about giving up as soon as I give in to a craving and eat something that's not allowed. Finally I saw these videos on you tube of this guy who says it's all a bunch of bs, eat whatever you want, whenever you want, just make sure you eat less calories than you burn. That sounds right to me! Pretty simple too.

In general I'm eating less fat & more fruits & veggies, but I'm focused more on eating fewer calories. Surprisingly, I'm consuming more food now than when I was eating 1800 cals a day & it's working for me.

Nice, big loss there. I haven't had one like that in a while :)

I also believe it's best to let yourself have a little of what you really want every now and then. Once a week in my dining hall at school I'll pick out a dessert. It's a good reward for a week of hard work.

I'm still here! I'm weighing in on Sundays, so that's when I end up updating here.
I'm also keeping a graph of my weight loss on the fridge- it's really helpful because even small losses look pretty good on graph paper! I labeled it "Watch Me Lose It"- weight, my sanity, whatever:)

Well, amazingly I lost another 4 lbs this week!! I stayed right around 1200 calories all week and did Walk Away the Pounds 2mi. 5 days, plus I added some squats, sit ups & push ups at the end 3 of those days. I know this is cheating, but if I stand diagonally on my scale & shift my weight a little to the left I weigh 159! In reality I'm at 164 though, almost 20 lbs gone:) My jeans are fitting better, but for 20 lbs I thought there'd be more of a visible change. I'm going to see about posting some pics to the before and after section soon.

I decided to splurge today & eat Mexican & made a pineapple upside down cake & had a big piece.. I still came in at 1190 cals.! In the last few weeks I guess my stomach shrunk because I'm completely satisfied with 1 enchilada, 15 baked chips w/ bean dip & a little queso. Before I would have easily taken out 3 enchiladas & a few more handfuls of chips.

:party:CONGRATULATIONS! You are losing like there is no tomorrow! Just wanted to stop by and cheer you on as you continue your shrinking!

Cheers
ABBA

Well, I only lost 2 lbs this week, but that's what I was expecting in the first place so it's all good, but a little disappointing after those 4 lb losses.

I did terrible over the weekend.. I ate low fat/ low cal. foods, but too much of them! Plus my dh brought home king size brownie ice cream cones for everyone & I ate mine! A whopping 410 calories!!

Oh well.. it's just one weekend & I'm almost halfway there:)

I"m going to do Yoga Booty Ballet this week.. it looks a lot more fun than Walk Away The Pounds. Leslie Sansone annoys me.

Another 2 lb loss this week.. I'm now officially more than 1/2 way there, which is motivating.
I stuck to my 1200 cal. days for the most part & did yoga booty ballet everyday M-F. It's a little weird (they have you hold wishes in your hands & swallow them to "seal" them into reality- very bizarre to me, but I played along anyway) & the cardio only lasts about 20 min. but it seems to have done the trick.
I got my bedroom cleaned out & organized. It was a major undertaking since we don't have a garage & a lot of our camping gear & xmas stuff, etc.. ends up in our room. Now it is just a bedroom!
I left the closet til I lose a little more weight, then I'm going to get rid of at least 1/2 of my clothes. I have too many that I never wear.
Oh! I have 2 pairs of jeans that are now TOO BIG for me! They actually sag/fall off when I walk around. That's something that's never happened before:)

Congrats on the saggy pants! Here's to many more clothes that you won't be able to wear anymore!

That didn't sound right but you know what I mean.

It's been a couple weeks since I've visited my diary.. I've lost another 3 lbs.
I love having the ticker, it looks really encouraging to see it leaning way over toward my goal. I feel very positive about doing this now. The counting calories thing is becoming second nature now & I don't loathe exercising like I did at first. So, I think when I reach my 140 goal I will set a new goal & keep on going. I always weighed 125 before I had kids so maybe I'll see if I can make it to 130. I'd really like to get to a point where I can see my abs- not necessarily a 6 pack, but at least see some definition. My stomach is my worst trouble spot.

My daughters school held a health fair & Golds Gym was there doing fitness evaluations. They took all my measurements & pinched me all over the place with the fat caliper thing. They said my body fat was 23%, which is apparently a low average/normal- awesome! Even better, my daughter said some of her friends were like "That's your mom!?" because they said I don't look like a mom, more like her older sister. Right on! That made my week. I also found out my blood pressure was 138/94.. BAD... & they recommend losing weight & cardio to get it down. I wonder what it was when I was 183 lbs & sedentary? I was probably about to drop dead any minute!

I still don't see a huge difference in my appearance, but I'm definitely able to wear more of my jeans because the dreaded muffin top is gone.. I'm a blue jeans junkie & I buy mine at the thrift store, you can't try them on there, but at $2-3 a pair for designer jeans, I buy them anyway & I've got a bunch (that I've never been able to wear)

Well, if you're reading this thanks for checking in on me & keep it up!! I don't have a lot of patience or willpower & if I am doing this you can too:)

Well, I'm laughing reading my last post- apparently I spoke too soon because I've sort of fallen off the wagon the last couple weeks. I haven't gained any weight back, but haven't lost any either.
I had a few days in a row of being out and about all day & didn't exercise or count calories & am having a hard time getting back into a groove. I'm also PMSing harder than usual and feeling tired, hungry & bloated.. not motivated.
So.. that's about it.
