I tried the 30 day shred yesterday and I am sore! My body isn't used to exercise anymore :p LOL... I think the DVD is well made though compared to some I've seen.

I was sore too! But it felt good to be sore to me! I love it though, I am looking forward to doing it today. I notice myself thinking "My muscles aren't sore anymore, I must need to do it again!" lol.
 
Yeah I was surprised to find my latte and gingersnap latte tastes really good either way, so why not have it healthier!

Exactly!! And that feeling of working hard... makes you know you can actually do it, and then you just want to keep up with it. I like the feeling, because even when I coughed the first day I could feel my abs ache. And I was happy that I knew it was working. Are you doing any other exercises with the 30 day shred?
 
Yeah I'm trying to also do other cardio like using my sis's elliptical. And I also have a gym membership so I could always go there and use the treadmills or bikes. But yesterday all I did was the 30 day shred and I'm sore in lots of places, but today I'll do 30 mins on the elliptical and do the 30 day shred.

I would suggest doing the elliptical first. lol. I know for one,I am VERY TUCKERED OUT after doing the video, and sore enough that I want to rest for a while afterwards.
 
I did day 3 of the 30 day shred, and its definitely getting easier... and I really thought it never would. I get a good sweat in, but my muscles are not that sore. Though my neck sort of is.. So I'm glad I will be added some of the Couch to 5 K program starting tomorrow. If I get bored tonight I will do the 30 day shred again.... I need to get deeper into the exercises or something.. it is not as rewarding if I am not sore afterward.
 
Yeah I definitely did the elliptical first. Even though it makes it harder for the DVD, it would be worse the other way around. Lucky you, you don't seem as sore. Today was my second day and I'm sore as hell, especially my calves but I do feel it in lots of places still.

Main place I was sore was my thighs. Today I just... wasn't sore. I'm only on day 3! So I will try more intense tomorrow.
 
I like to peak at the scale in the mornings, even before my chosen weigh in day this week... (which is Tuesday), and I am already at 208.2!!! That is almost 5 pounds down. I must not realize how much I have to eat to maintain my weight, or that 30 day shred is working me in all the right ways!!

Needless to say this is keeping me that much more motivated. I really hope to reach my goal for Valentines Day- 198.

Today I am going to POSSIBLY go out shopping. I want to get out of the house really. I might get some soup from panera bread (soup only! ) and bring it home for lunch. I really don't have a food plan for today, but I still have that list of healthy choices to look at.

I start the C25K today, and I will be doing my 30 day shred. I am nervous about starting it in this weather. The streets are covered in snow and ice...I am worried about falling. So if I feel I am in danger of any sort, I will wait until it is safer, and I do not have an indoor alternative to run on. So it would have to wait. BUT- I'm still looking forward to starting it. I am very excited with the results of the 30 day shred; and I can't wait to do it again today!
 
Be careful running with the snow and ice... Don't push it if you don't feel safe hun, I don't want anything to happen to you...

Thanks Karl. I guess I'm also worried that cars are going to slide and hit me if I fall in the street... sidewalks are all covered in 6 inches of snow or so. I'm going to see how it is, I'll go with my gut if I don't feel safe.
 
deffinately be carefull Brandy. I don't trust myself to stand on ice and snow, let alone any kind of running. I'd be dead 3 steps away from my front door. :eek: but then again I never said I had much in the way of coordination.
Sounds like I'm going to need to look into that 30 day shred thing. see if it'll help me kick these last 8...I can hope at least. :D
Brava on the 5lbs. I bet Tuesday is going to be a good weigh-in at the rate you're going. Keep on kickin' you'll do great.

I think the squats are what make me the most sore. My quads feel like I've been hit by a tanker! hahaha... but, in a good way. ;)

Man, I am sure proud of that 5 pounds. My boyfriend is very quiet about his weight.... but he told me today that he has lost 9!! I'm so proud of him. That 30 day shred thing will definitely help with those last 8 pounds! The Biggest Loser has some other intense videos... Biggest Loser Bootcamp looks really hard! Yeah... I have no coordination either, thats why I went out and bought more DVD's to work out with... Until the sidewalks are cleared.
 
I went out to lunch today at Panera Bread with Dan. I know I have plenty of room in the calorie department for it... but the fat is a little high for my liking. I made sure to only eat half of my soup, and half of the baguette... enough so that I was happily content. Later in the afternoon/ dinner time I will eat the other half... or I'll just save it for tomorrow. After that I talked with Dan about how I want to start the c25k today, and he doesn't think its a good idea because all the sidewalks are still covered in snow and ice, and the streets aren't plowed very WIDELY... so its still a tight fit for cars. So instead we went to walmart and He have me $10 to add to my $20 so I could get 3 more work out dvd's. I got The Biggest Loser Cardio Max, The Biggest Loser Bootcamp, and Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight-loss. It was really nice of him, I was going to put one back, but he insisted I get all of them. He is a really good boyfriend. He also bought me some Propel waters for when i got bored of just plain water... and he got carb free Monster Energy Drink... which has a ton of sodium... but he used to drink a ton of monster, so a 20 calorie can he will be able to substitute. I'm so proud of him!!!

I am starting to get a little hungry again, so I will go finish my soup, and watch a television show, then do my 30 day shred, and after a 15 minute break I will try the Cardio max video I bought.

Still on track. Still feeling good.
