still ok. I refuse to walk upstairs to the kitchen again tonight.
 
HI Brandy! Good job on getting your calories up. I hope you made it to at least 1000! The 1800 day isn't bad. That should be close to a maintaince number for you. So no sweat. It's ok about the weigh in. Don't stress too much but use it as motivation for the next week!! Plus TOM is hard to beat with weight. Just have to ride it out. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I am excited about your plans for a cooking degree!! That's awsome!

Thank you michelle and bb for stopping by. You both say I've been good with eating, but I am HORRIBLY disgusted with myself. I need to step things into the next gear. Seriously.


And this is the week to do it. I can't weight myself anymore until next Saturday. Next saturday when I get on the scale... It is going to say 198. I will MAKE it say 198. thats 4 lbs away for me. 4lbs a week sounds like its too much, but I have 2 lbs of weight that are just fluctuating like crazy, and I am going to kick those 2 to the curb, and then work off another 2. This week- my goals are to keep it real low in the carb area...and to not eat junk. On the Halloween challenge thread about weekly challenge ideas... one of them was to NOT eat junk food. I think I want to try that. FOr this week that is, for next week too if thats the challenge... but I want to further challenge myself this week seeing as I am clearly needing help.

My foods today are going to be very low in cal. Not COMPLETELY intentionally- but i will eat lots and lots of food.

Breakfast-11:00, Chicken Noodle Soup (75)

Snack- 11:30, 25 grapes (75)

Lunch- 12:00, Chicken Noodle Soup. (75) and a grilled cheese
sandwich.(160+120)

Snack- 12:30, Apple (110)

Meal 3- 1:30, Chicken Noodle Soup (75)

Dinner- 4:00, Chicken Noodle Soup (75 cal)


I might ass a sandwich to breakfast too.. we'll see when I go up there. But I am SOOOO craving the chicken noodle soup today. wooooow.

Exercise: yoga for sure. I"m not definite on anything else.

25 green grapes- 75 cal.

So the new running total is: 518.

I think dinner is going to be steak subs. I will see how they look when I go upstairs, because more chicken noodle soup or fettuccine alfredo sounds like it would hit the spot again.

To also try tonight: 1 pack of mini pringles. (I think they're 100 cal) and 1 chocolate caramel square.

1577 is a great calorie day for you. At the moment you can totally lose, and more importantly keep on losing, and keep on and on until you actually get to your goal, if you keep eating around an average of 1600 cal a day, and keep moving. You do not need to go under this.

I don't think you're doing too bady with the eating. It's good to mix up the calorie count--keeps your body from getting complacent with a constant number. I think you'll do well this week.
 
thank you so much for stopping by. I really need the support. Especially this week. I am trying to cut out all junk foods. Its hard. I'm trying to form a state of mind that I am disgusted by the thought of it... and its sort of working already.

I have a problem that I am really worried about.

I think I am losing my hair. SO much hair comes out when I take a shower... is that normal? Could it be from stress?

I don't have any bald spots...but I do have a lot of hair left over near the shower afterwards. EEEW. +
 
SO I have stuck to my principles. I am not going to eat junk anymore. I have realized that it is a waste of calories... it is disgusting...and they're is no reason to eat it when I can eat healthy food that is JUST as delicious and satisfying.

Breakfast/lunch: 150 cals of Chicken noodle soup, and 280 cals of grilled cheese and a bottle of water.

Snack: 1 chocolate chip peanut butter rice cake (50 cals) and a macintosh apple.. (110) and 2 bottles of water. Thats 590 so far!

And I will have another apple at work for dinner. (110) with a bottle of water of course. and I might bring another 2 rice cakes... (100)

And I think that might be it. I am still very full.

why the hell does my mind go back and forth about what foods I am going to eat allllllll day long?!?

At least they are staying good.
 
Calorie update.

Dinner: 300 cals worth of Fettacine ALfredo with chicken and broccoli..barely ANY noodles. Just the chicken, and broccoli really.

I need to go to work!! EEEK>
 
Oooh yum! That chicken alfredo sounds good! I reckon the thinking heaps about food might be part of the learning it takes when we're changing from one way of eating to another. It's kind of annoying but probably not permanent!

I finally got to stop by your diary. :] You sound like you're doing very well.

About the hair thing, it could be a bunch of things. I took some cosmetology in school so here's what I've got for ya...
-Certain shampoos/conditioners can do it (sunsilk is notorious for it; sometimes cheaper shampoos can do it because of the lesser ingredients, etc.)
-Stress.
-Being deficient in proteins, vitamins & minerals.
-Certain medicines.

-What you're losing could just be normal. People on average lose about 100 strands of hair each day. If you wear your hair tied back all day then let it loose before a shower, you'll notice the hairs that naturally fall out throughout the day in the bottom of the shower because they've been just tied in there all day.

I haven't stopped by in a while it seems.

Yesterday wasn't so good food wise. But got lots of exercise. Today is going awesome.

Today:

Lunch: Clam strips and french fries from Lobster Hut. (probably 600 cals)

THen a 40 minute walk.

Snack: 6/8ths of an apple with 1 tbsp of peanut butter.

Dinner: is going to be tacos. I hope they are chicken ones. I am going to ONLY eat 2.

I'll write more later on.
 
Hi Brandy! It sounds like you are in a rough spot. Believe me I know all about those. It is so hard to quiet the hungry monster that is in my head and makes me think of food all day and then eventually eat it because I am just damn tired of resisting! Just have to stay strong and muscle your way through it. just put the bad days behind you and everyday work on getting something under control... like no fried foods, no junk food, etc. Just one thing at a time! You can do it. Your team is kicking butt too!! good job:) Keep your head up!
 
I hope you are doing well.

Good job on keeping track of all your calories. Like bb said , having them fluctuate up and down can actually help. Several times when I have felt like I've "overdone it" by alot on my calories , it usually shows up the next day or so as a significant loss. I beleive it kickstarts your metabolism.

As for your hair , as long as it's not visually thinning on you , I'm sure you're ok. I'm defenitely one who pays ALOT of attention to the amount of hair in the drain on the shower! I so worry about balding.
Stress can affect your diet though. Try not to over or even under eat if you are stressed.
I'm sure everything will be alright. Count to ten and breathe the stress away.
Keep up the great work you are doing !
 
Thank you everyone for stopping by my journal. You all have NO idea how much it helps me to be getting support, and to just hear people tell me that I am doing a great job. It really gets me motivated, and if it wasn't for ALL of you, I would be gaining by the minute. I could never have the will to get through all the hard times without COMPLETELY over eating, and I would NEVER get around to exercising. YOU are all the ones who get me going. The ones who give me self-will, and determination. And for that I am ETERNALLY grateful. Thanks to each and every one of you who stop by my diary and give me a few kind, or constructive words.


I have been eating pretty well lately. I am almost completely over eating junk food. I don't crave chips anymore at all!!! I need to work on resisting fried foods though. Terrible passion for them. ahahah. I am thinking about starting to by my own groceries that way I have control over what I eat a little more. THat way I don't binge. But I will have to wait a month or 2 more until I actually have money. ANd this is ONLY a possiblity. NOt even a real plan of action yet. I don't really think its in my budget.

Today:

1 Venti NONFAT caramel macchiato for Starbucks (240)
1 APPLE (110)
1 lean cuisine french bread pizza (310)
and 3 Crunchy tacos from Taco Bell. (640)

I ate the taco bell because I had NO meat for that day, and it was still early. I did a lot of walking, so I had plenty of time to walk a lot of it off. I also have had 3 bottles of water. and a large cup of ice. Thats only 1300 calories for the day. Its still low. Staying busy has definitely kept my mind off of food. and I have had a lot less random cravings too. Its nice to be able to eat a bit less. I try to eat at least ever 3 hours during the day. Because I get really sick if I don't eat breakfast, and then try to wait until 2 pm to finally eat.

WELL, today ended up pretty good. I hope tomorrow is equally as awesome, and I hope all of you are having funnn.

Glad to hear you're doing better. I wouldn't worry about your hair. I lose a ton of it everyday, and mine is still really thick. LOL@Paul worried about balding. You don't look like you have anything to worry about..lol. If you're not balding at all by now, then you'll be fine.;)

I just read that women who get the munchies at night often do b/c they don't get enough to eat during the day. This article recommended eating frequent small meals throughout the day to keep the hunger monster at bay. :D
 
Hi Brandy! Good job on cals! You are doing well! I was surprised about the coffee! 240 calories seems like so little when you see venti in front of it but I double checked and that's what it is! I have to eat breakfest too. Right now I am like the Kashi Go Lean cereal with raspberries and Splenda. It's so good!
I hope you have a great day today! Only 2 more days until Saturday! I can't wait to jump on that scale!!
 
my head has been spinning. I am so busy, and it seems so hard to find a day to sit down and comment on all the diaries and stuff. I can't believe it.

I am going to eat healthy all week. YES... not even one mistake. And I am also going to join a gym. Swimming is GREAT exercise, and I really love to swim. So... I think thats what I want to do this week. THats my goal. Unfortunately, I need $100 to sign up with. I think anyways. I will check this out in much greater detail. I have to go to work in 1.5 hours. So, I am going to do my hair/makeup, and plan out my food for the day.

I am happy with this week's bonus, because I think I might be able to keep my head on straight.

But do Lean Cuisine Pizza's count??? They are delicous. ONLY 310 cals for a french bread pizza. Let me know...

I need to go balance my checkbook as well. There is so much that I want to write about.. but I won't. Cuz I need to do a lot before I go to work, tonight when I get home... I have SO much to talk about. :)
 
Today's Food:

Breakfast: 100 cal peach yogurt, 190 cal of Raisin Bran Crunch, and 130 cal of 2% milk.

Lunch: Nothing. I was at work. I didn't have any money. I didn't bring anything there. *Slaps self on hand* But I didn't think I would even have time (which I didn't) and that is why I had such a big breakfast.

Dinner: Chicken Cacciatore... which is only 200 cals per 7.7 ounces. I might have 2... so count on 400 calories.


I guess that is it. I need to figure out if popcorn is junk food. and if it is... I'll stick with an apple.

I am excited for such an awesome dinner! ANd its healthy!!! I need to get in some exercise. There is just so much going on, and I'm stressing so badly over money that it is ridiculous. Tonight I have a lot that I want to get done, and then 6:00 am tomorrow I have to be at work. I like being a little busy. It keeps me from snacking so damn much.
