Here's the deal- I quit my job at Starbucks. I couldn't take how rude the management was to me. Well- I am short on money. I have everything set for not. But I need to apply for another one. I shouldn't have quit. But at the same time- I wanted to be a waitress anyways. So- tomorrow night I am going to go out after work and apply to one. Maybe even a bunch. Tomorrow I am working at the bakery from 8 to 2... I have to run the pie tasting. EVEN MAKING THEM. I will be VERY BUSY! I'm glad I got a few extra hours this week. I really need the money. I did buy south beach diet bars. And today I replaced my lunch for that.
SO... here's my food today:
Breakfast- 8:30am- a bagel with bacon, lots of lettuce, and a slice of cheese.
Snack- 4 potato croquettes. (they were small, and we had to try them all in my cooking class.
Lunch- 3:00pm- South Beach Diet Bar.
I'll update later with dinner. I am too tired right now to figure it out. haha.
There will definitely be something better for you. Waitressing's a great college gig. I did some while there. The money can be very good, too--if you get in at the right type of restaurant. Stay away from the family oriented restaurants--too many wild kids and cheap tipping parents..lol. I'm not sure what Starbucks pays these days, but you should be able to make $12-20 an hour in tips waiting tables.
Did you sign up for the Holiday Challenge? If not, that would be a good thing to do to help you stay on track. And come visit us more often. We miss ya when you're not around.

I don't blame you at all for quitting your job. I've quit a few places because of management being shitty (and the funny part is, the managers would always get fired a short time later! haha!). Waitressing can be a really good source of income, tips=scrumptious! I agree with Kimberly though, just watch out for some of the family places. Good luck searching for a new job, I'm sure you'll find someplace good where the management aren't complete a-holes. Ya gotta have hope that there are a few places like that left! :]
I lost weight. (from my new unbelievably gross 208.8) and now weigh in at 207.4
Today:
I ate a couple of hershey's kissables. (4) and I ate a bowl of 2 hot dogs and baked beans. And thats all I've had today. (plus 3 bottles of water. haha)
I obviously need to eat something else. Because I don't want to have such little calories. Even though I just bought my comfy (size 17) pants... I can pull them off without even unbuttoning them! It makes me happy...but the next size down I own is a size 14- and I'm definitely not there yet. But...it still puts a smile on my face.
I will be thin. I will be. I don't care what I have to go through to be there... i will get there someday. And until then- I have an amazing, gorgeous man who thinks I'm beautiful at any weight.
My goal is to be back in the 100's by the end of the month.
I'm excited for the holiday challenge to start. It will do my some good. I want to be 190-195 by Christmas. And that goal means a lot to me. More to me then a Snickers Bar or chips.
(my long term goal is still to be around 130-135. I'm just not in a rush to get there.)

Tammy- Yes I did sign up for the xmas challenge. My goal is to reach 195.
I woke up this morning without an alarm clock! I am in a great mood, I feel rested, and I am very motivated. I only woke up an hour ago, and I haven't done much of anything. BUT I threw on my pedometer (even on my pj's) and I'm motivated to do great today. My pedometer already reads 349. I made a new fit day account so I could keep track of my calories as well as other things on the nutritional charts.
Food so far today:
Breakfast at 9:45am- 1 cup of Raisin Bran Crunch Cereal. (190 calories), a 1/2 cup of 2% milk (65 calories) and 16.9 fl oz of water.
Other foods that I am thinking about eating today:
-celery and ranch dip (3 stalks about 5" long) (9+147/2tbsp)
-hot dog and beans (160 + 193)
-South Beach Diet Bar (210)
IF I can manage to do that my calories will be at 974 for the day. Thats a bit low. But I'm not sure what I will be eating a little bit of once Dinner comes around. The family usually has something yummy. I will have just a little bit of it-which will bring up my calories.
You and I both know that my meal plans will change. BUT it still doesn't hurt for me to have a plan to guide me.
STILL- I'm at 255 for breakfast!
I am hopefully going to go out today. I need to get out of the house AT LEAST to get my steps up.
I don't really have a plan for today yet. Dan and I are going to spend time together. I took a shower last night after midnight...so today I will just take care of my hair and make up. Then I want to go out to do... something! I want to go out shopping...at least window shopping.
I also need to spend about 30 minutes cleaning my room today. I am excited about this christmas challenge!!! I set a very attainable goal. I just want to lose 13 lbs. And in the beginning that will be a lot of water weight.
Also- I must get my yoga in today. At some point. I am going to do pilates as well-but later tonight so I don't mind sweating. hahaha.
For Lunch I ate 2 hot dogs and 1 cup of beans. (2 times as much as I was going to.) So... 255 for breakfast plus 360 for hot dogs, and 386 for beans... Brings me to 1001 for the day so far. I am drinking a brisk right now.. 120 calories.. (now up to 1121 cals) I am going to have dinner soon which is broccoli, smoked ham shoulder, mashed potatos, and onion.
I really don't have many calories to use anymore today. I have about 500 more...but dinner will be more then that.
I forgot my pedometer... but today I walked around for about 2 hours or more shopping.
I have decided now- I am going to eat just a little of everything. But take a good portion of broccoli.
I had fun shopping. Dan bought me a new watch and a new shirt! and they look lovely!
I'll write again later! I'm feeling a tad bit random. lol.
Sounds like you're having a pretty good day. Broccoli is pretty low in calories, so unless you go and "pig" out on the ham (haha) and mashed potatoes, I think you'll be under the 500cals easily.

Don't you hate it when you forget to put on the pedometer & you end up walking a bunch.... it feels like it doesn't even count! Course we both know it does. Nice work on getting in more steps than normal & of course getting the gift from the man!

Good day! I woke up late- and wasn't in the mood for breakfast. So around 12pm I ate my south beach diet bar (210) and a brisk iced tea to make it taste better (120)...so I'm only up to 330 for the day. I am going to have a cheeseburger for dinner.
I have been lazy so far today. I want to go take a shower now, go on a mile walk (with my damn pedometer!) and then afterwards take a trip out to the bank...and deposit 2 paychecks. I also need to come back and clean my damn room!!!!! (I am such a slob.)
UGH. I need to call my insurance company today as well! I really can't forget to do that... So I will go do it now I suppose. I HATE making phone calls to them. Just cuz I never know what I should be saying or asking... or anything. it makes me feel sick. lol. ( i like that smiley!!!)
Well..... I need to go, and stop being a lazy bones!
****Kim throwing you some extra energy for the day**** Sounds like you have a lot to do today, that should certainly keep you up and going and I don't care what anyone says, but when I clean my house I work up a sweat and I know I'm burning calories, so I'm sure you will as well.

I have been feeling LAZY to,last week my energy was unlimited this week I feel like it's a hassle just to get out and do the grocery shopping lol grrr hate those days.CONGRATS on the small portion approach thats what I did at the banquet dinner last night I filled 1/2 my plate with greenbeans then the other 1/3 chciken then 1 serv of mash taters and 1 serv of pasta no desert or breads lol.

ohhh sometimes lazy days are good things. its nice not to feel pressured into having to do anything in particular sometimes (housework doesnt count - it can really wait!) although i am one of those geeks that actually really enjoys ironing and cleaning
